Sad but true mate.

I still do not understand why Microsoft do not make a set of headphones(for audio) with built in microphone for talking.

Christ,if you are playing games next to the missus at night and respect her peace and quiet, then you can only put the headphones on or the headset(which means you cannot hear the in game audio).

Why not integrate both MS???
 
Would you say it's safe to buy a Premium 360 from eBay for £120 which has all the usual stuff, and has been sent to MS to be fixed and came back fine? Anyone tried to change who a 360 is registered to after buying from someone else?
 
i just can't imagine inviting friends around to play some games on the xbox with a pair of headphones on. ;)
 
I have no interest what so ever in NFL, should I buy Madden purely because it's a fun game? It's out on Friday here and I have an odd urge to play it. I don't think there's a demo but could someone who knows nothing about football still enjoy the game?

I really like sports games because everything is different in each game so I might actually find it a lot of fun.
 
Don't buy it mate. I like American Football and can say the 360/PS3 versions of Madden 08 are pretty rubbish (check the Operation Sports forums for other opinions). If you were to get a version, get the PC version which is FAR better and feels much like a game of football than the "next-gen" which feels like ping-pong football on ice.

If you have access to an American Live account, grab the NCAA 08 demo and that will give you an idea on whether you'd like it.

It probably would help if you had an interest in the game, all the reviews point to the best Next Gen Madden, running at 60FPS on the 360 and playing a better game. I have had to get used to Madden again after years of the 2K series, but with the 360 version of All Pro region locked, and having listened to alot of comments about Madden 07, I'm really looking forward to it.

Only really a £20 price drop. Not as significant as some people would have hoped but its close to the price of a Wii.

can you tell me which x360 games have coop-mode and/or a good offline multiplayer?

I would also like to know which games can be played via system-link.

My mate has bought a Xbox360 now too and we are looking for some fun :) to kill time until PES2008 and FIFA08

Gears Of War's co-op mode is amazing. Nearly completed it three times. Table Tennis is excellent in offline multiplayer.

If you like cars, Forza 2 is fun in system-link mode.

Just played and beaten this American guy 3-0 on Champions League. I was Liverpool and he was West Ham (Maybe he thought they were good, I dunno)

Anyway, shortly after the game finishes I get message after message. Here is how they went...

That is just 4 of the 12 or so messages he sent me. I managed to reply to about 1 in every 3 he sent me. Its people like him that give Live a bad name and amuse the fuck out me at the same time

That's why I don't have the mic plugged in any more (and why I have everyone else's mic muted). I don't play games for all of the "banter", especially when 90% of it goes way over the fucking mark.

My nephew is just short of 13, and you want to see some of the messages he's had. People are shitbags, really.

This morning, the high definition format wars took another turn as Paramount announced they are going HD DVD exclusive.

According to Yahoo!, Paramount’s decision will mean such blockbusters as Transformers and Shrek the Third will only appear on HD DVD, as the exclusivity will stretch to all movies distributed by Paramount Pictures, DreamWorks Pictures, Paramount Vantage, Nickelodeon Movies, MTV Films and DreamWorks Animation.

The last two years demo's are still up on Live I think. Just imagine it running smoother!!!! ;)
