most rrod can be fixed via the clamp method

I didn't say it was useless but its far from reliable

It will get another 6 months out of your console if your lucky maybe less but it will 100% break again

You'll never get an 100% honest answer to that question, every answer comes from a biased source in one degree or other.

Do you have friends with one console or the other and would like to play against them?

Are there exclusives on one console or the other that you'd like to play?

Would you be financially and religiously opposed to paying £30 per year to play on Xbox Live and have access to premium Xbox Live content?

Questions like that are IMO better to help in your decision.

I think most people here are above that sort of thing Dags, seems quite a mature section of the forums this one.

I'd echo Placebo's comments - you won't get a definite answer as to which is better, it's up to you based on what you want from your console.

I went with a 360 because I know more people who have them, and none of the exclusives on either platform particularly interest me.

See now there I disagree, baseball is a kickass sport, if only for all the hand gestures and spitting! I used to watch baseball years back when it first came to 5. And I'll pick up a new baseball game if it's decent
