Manchester United Thread

Time for some light humour - I've just been sent this, so maybe everyone can sing it tomorrow whether you're there or in the pub:

Jose, whoever you may be,
Your dog's here illegally,
We heard you moan,
We heard him bark
And now he's been eaten by Ji Sung park

I wondered how long it would be until a chant was going to be made about it all, Ill have to listen out for that one

Well, Fergies got a few selections to make tomorrow hasnt he. I think I heard Evra will be starting instead of Heinze. Brown seems to be in favour of O'Shea for the RB spot and the other choice was to start Smith or Fletcher. Id go for a straight 4-4-2 because I hate to see Rooney up there on himself another plus if Smith plays he will have a good chance of rustling the feathers of whoever partners Terry which leaves the wide positions to stretch out their full backs. If Essien plays centre half then that is going to be a big blow for their midfield so hopefuly that will exploit them. Double would be very nice, c'mon United

I got 2 tickets for tomorrow (£200 each) and I can't WAIT. I never went to the old Wembley so this will be a treat. Gotta get my sleep in tonight, I feel tomorrow will be a long day!

COME ON UNITED!

Ninja/Diego.

just going back to the Hargreaves, Scholes and Carrick thing, surely we'd then have to play a 3-5-2?

and I still don't trust our defence fully

No think about it in Europe how we have played 7 away in difficult matches.

Rooney from the left with a main striker.

Take Giggs out as he cant play loads of games for much longer anyway. Have Hargreave as the sitting midfielder & have the rest do what they do best.

ATTACK! ATTACK! ATTACK!

I can see this happening way from home alot next season. At home who knows. We may try & mould Carrick into a Pirlo role.

I guess that could work with a Rio/Vidic/Heinze defence but you'd need another winger who's as disciplined as Giggs when tracking back to defend.

Most boring match of the season? Jesus Christ, if I'd have paid £300, £400, £500 to go and see that at the new Wembley...

At least Man Utd's players aren't diving all over the place though.

If he hadn't come out Drogba would have still scored. It was a very good goal. No-one to blame. Shame Ronaldo didn't have a good go at them. Rooney was great. Unlucky lads.

Nah he hesitated AGAIN!!!!!

We did score tho.....

So f*ckin boring. I didnt care who would win, I just wanted it to end (I guess its easy to say that after having the league title in the bag). Glad we lost to a good goal though. Another penalty shootout loss would have probably pissed me off like last time.

Ninjabreakz did. :lmao:

 Ronaldo's the only one thats ever done that for us.

well you lots dominated most of the game ,but we all know it takes 1 goal to finish it even though the other team looked lost at times

Unlucky guys. What the hell happened to Ronaldo? He went missing today, really need to starts performing in the big occasions more consistantly against the big boys.

Regarding the goal, I think Van Der Sar should of been quicker to anticipate the 1-2. Besides that though, Giggs should of put Man Utd ahead. Whether it was over the line or not isnt the point, he should of finished it quite easily.

tired legs , they did a lot of running it`s the realism that formation didn`t work. End of story for manutd , chelsea just waited for the back to make a mistake and there were way too much panic back passes to gk.I never seen that before from them

Need a striker like Drogba.
I never thought i would say it but we do. Rooney neds someone like that to play with.

SAF needs to scrap this crappy formation. Its pissing me off now.

Dont worry the League is better than the Cup !!!!

If you lots would of won that would put a mental block on chelsea ,and now they feel you lots aren`t a threat and they feel more threaten by liverpool then yous. In the end your right anything to sleep better,I agree

Why wasn't EVRA playing instead of Vidic? I don't understand! Heinze looks tame when attacking

Instead of Vidic! Your smoking something mate. Heinze is AWFUL!

I dont care what anyone says we need to replace him & i will stick with Bale & Evra as our leftbacks next season.

Heinze can sod off to Spurs. Its harsh but its my opinion.

We need crossers from the full backs. Heinze cant do that. Wes Brown great defending crap at crossing.

Need focal point striker.

Terrible game, the worst i've seen this season.

How did Chelski win it though? Crap, negative football wins again (although ManU also played negative just like against Milan)

You can all quash the myth of the wonderful football United play "constantly" - that was a bloody awful cup final.

What more do you expect after a long season. Remember we have played more games than you....

Thats comes with haveing a successful team

Only joshing.......

Terrible final, although i think anu shaded it just in the 90 min. Missed most of the ET as i was having my tea.

Didnt expect a great game, they never are with the top teams. But it didnt help that they mirrored each other in negativity nearly down to each player. For strong attacker drogba, read rooney, fast wingers cole/SWP read giggs/ronaldo etc.

Hopefully wednesday's will be better.

Bloody hell that was a sh!t game. what happened to the brillient manu? wasnt expecting many to play so crap. very strange

Im never going to be convinced with this lone striker formation we play and just cant understand why we cant play to our own strengths(442) as we've done all season in the league and guess what we won the damn thing.
Still thought we were the better team today but as well as i thought Rooney played he looked far too isolated too often.

Sir Alex said himself that Svens biggest mistake in the WC was playing Rooney as a lone striker. In two big games (Milan away and the FA Cup final) hes done just that and they lost both.

Rooney is an exceptional player when in a free role or behind a striker, I dont undertand why they dont play to his strengths.
