Manchester United Thread

PROPER prawn sandwiches are expensive (because they use tiger prawns and expensive dressings.)

I can't believe this thread has all of a sudden become PRAWN-INFESTED! :lol:

What is this now you may ask? Well I'll tell you. This is the official piechart that was shown at the annual Xmas Manchester United board meeting last week in Bristol, it shows the balance of power at Man Utd, basically the creme de la crop of who's who and who directs the chickens to lay the eggs at Old Trafford. A mate of mine who works as DIY man happened to be in the office changing a lightbulb and went unnoticed to the board members. He said that Glazier stood at the top of the room with a stick and pointed towards the green sector saying this was the segment that SAF gets, then he said at that moment you could cut the tension in the room with a knife and Sir Alex was stunned cause he used to have control over the blue quadrant. Rooney got control of the yellow segment while all other segments belonged to Glazier. This is a sign of some worrying times for United, if I was a Utd fan I'd be shitting bricks right now knowing a collapse of catastrophic proportions is in the pipeline.

To be honest I only read the first and last sentences, then went into reactionary fan mode.

There was some funny to be found in Durmot's post actually.

Either way, comedy's a tough bussiness. It's not as easy as predicting Arsenal results for example.

How funny a joke is has more to do with place and timing. Dermot's jokes arent funny cuz he posts random bullshit for the sake of it. At first it was funny but now its too predictable and boring.

Of course you'd find it funny. You'd laugh at anything if it was even slightly negative and directed at United.
 
I have not prepared any backlashes whatsoever.Dermot is a wuss.I dont even understand why he bothers so much in posting junk here.He stole my signature and inserted his junk into it.If thats how he like it,fine,he IS a well known idiot here anyways...stop linking 'Funny' with Dermot,'Stupid' would be more suitable.
 
Calm down phrase. I think it is just harmless fun he is having. I have not seen anything malicious come from his mouth. I understand its difficult to find any amusement in his jokes as they are not very oringinal or fruitful but let him try. I'm more concerned with the standard of posting that is degenrating into constant bickering along with irrevelant issues that have nothing to do with football news or issues relating to whats happening on the pitch.
 
Ok, no excuses, we MUST beat Lille. Even if we go out in the later stages, I must say it'll be nice to have advanced by knocking out the two that knocked us out last year...
 
Right on Alucard.We've got Lille.Away first then home for the second game.Great draw for us but I prefer if we got the chance to eat the ugliest frog first.Sort that out.
 
How about that for pick of the bunch! All respect to PSV but when Arsenal drew them I thought lucky bastards. In all fairness it still could be a tricky tie for United, was last season when they struggled against Lille ?

I was surprised we avoided so many good teams in the draw today. The next round's gonna be tough as hell if we beat Lille though.
 
dermot is hilarious, just dont take him seriously. Lile will be tough but united can certainly do it. We need to shut down there man in the midfield bodmer, he has rifle of a shot. They also have this workhorse in makoun who can run all day and tackle pretty well. Will be intresting to watch.
 
well, I guess we won't know how it's gonna go until the first leg, but we should beat them, key word being should. Then again, it is us in Europe, so it's more than likely we'll lose the first leg or something stupid like that
 
Okay guys, listen, I'm not going to bother you anymore but don't blame me for posting in here. What about the PM's I get from people asking me to post my thoughts in the United thread? there are some genuine fans out there who want me to do that, I'm only accomodating them and their needs. "oh Dermot, I really listen to your point of view, please post in there". For all those guys I will post in here but i won't babble on or make my opinions public. I'm only going to do it through the PM system. So now, for those who are interested I have one thing to show you:

Dong Fangzhou has finally got his work permit. He's been on loan at Antwerp for 3 years. Hopefully he'll have improved since the last time I saw him.
