Liverpool are rubbish (again) so far this season - you should be ok against them.

They still dominate most games though, it's just the freak show up front don't score enough. Do we have anyone to keep Gerrard quiet as that could be the key to us beating them? Their defence is definitely not as good as last years though.

Arsenal's midfield played ours into the ground, I worry Pool will do the same. All we can hope for is that the defence stand tall, and we don't hit their keeper in the face with our best chance.

Although, I'm still kind of okay with losing just to see Lehman finally get some of what he deserves. good keeper, but an absolute tw*t as well.

I think the key will be in set pieces that go into the box, corners and free kicks, cause Liverpool cannot mark anyone in these situations, thats how Rio scored last year in the 90th minute, they all completely lost him and he scored, there was an example of this against someone they played recently, I can't remember which match though

He's one of those players that only his own fan's can love. A bit like Savage or Ronaldo.

Not terrible news, at least no injuries that look serious (Rio is apparently fine). And more games for Rooney will hopefully help, I thought he looked much sharper. If he had a striking partner who could go forwards rather than backwards or score with his head he'd of looked much better.

Ronaldo a new star at ManUtd, this could bring more Ports(Nani) to Old Traff but will his ego get the best of him and dash off to LaLiga ?He will shine there, but the EPL is making him a dominate player(Fabregas may disagree..joking)

he won't go to La Liga, at least not for a while. I know I was not the only one who thought he was going in the summer, but he's friends with Rooney again and having an amazing season so far. He is a star and every time he plays this year he just seems to get better and better, which is a great change from his previous three years at the club, which were pretty much a case of if only...

I would LOVE C.Ronaldo at Real but he loves United too much, that is obvious. He already owes Alex Ferguson a lot . . .

Nani is showing himself a really good player, too bad we (Portuguese) can only make excellent wingers, and no strikers. :(

Good news on hargreaves:

United target Owen Hargreaves hopes to make English clubs notice him again once he's over his injury.
He declared: “The more I play for England, the more top English clubs will see me.
“At the time, I said it would be very interesting for me and it was something I wanted to do. My club had a different view and that is their right. But at the moment I am getting fit and, when I am playing well again, I think those things will arise once more.”
He added: “It’s a bit of a slow process but the injury is healing well.
“I’m looking forward to getting off the crutches, walking normally and then getting fit after that.
“They say bones heal in six weeks or so and I am in my fourth week now.
“I think another four weeks, hopefully, and then I’ll be training once more.”

Looks like Saha and VDS we're the only United players to do any good last nite:

Louis Saha scored for France as they beat the Faroe Islands 5-0 while Edwin Van der Sar helped Holland to a 2-1 win over Albania.

Darren Fletcher and Cristiano Ronaldo were both on losing sides as Scotland and Portugal both lost last night.

John O'Pie played for Eire who got a draw against the Czech Republic and youngster Jonny Evans played a full 90 minutes for Northern Ireland as they beat Latvia 1-0.

So true. Maybe it's because we are all "brinca na areia" and never actually shoot the damn ball. :D

Evans got a rave review from a few sources, definitely sounds like post antwerp he'll be a worthy back up CB next year. Which is good news, but I'm more excited about Hargreaves still being interested. Sounds good to me! Let's get it done Mr. Gill and co, have it all sorted, get him on the day the window opens, and lets push for some silverware!

Im sure he'll be the same player. He is only going to be out for 2months in total, which shows the injury was'nt that serious.

If we can pull off a swoop for both Hargreaves and Nani in january, then that would be stenghten the depth in midfield since we desperatly need a DM and another winger. But I wouldnt hold my breath since Bayern will probably hold out against a bid from Utd, while Nani will probably get kidnapped and sign for chelsea after agreeing terms with Utd. Come to think of it, where is Obi mikel? I have not seen him play once for chelsea in the premiership.
