Manchester United Thread

I heard it isnt serious but he was on crutches though.
I was really impressed with the youngsters today. As long as we stay injury free and get a decent replacement for Ruud, we'll definately improve on last season by quite a bit.
And even though Rossi isnt scoring, that kid is so much fun to watch. I'd personally play him alongside Rooney in the first team.

It could be a Chinese club more supporters....just joking you lot keep winning friendly while liver keeps losing even Chelsea loses to MLS

We can never start the season with a full squad of players. We always get handicapped through injuries or suspensions. This is why we need to buy atleast 3players every summer.

The Senna deal is bound to happen but apparently were looking at Tevez, Toni and Torres too.

I have a feeling we are going to regret missing out on Berbatov.

Well here is some better new to hear. Rooney committing to United. Its funny most of the british players who joined United have always said they want to end their career at United.

Rooney wants United for life

ROONEY - MY STORY SO FAR
For the first time in his own words, you can buy Wayne Rooney's book here.

Wayne Rooney sees no reason why he would ever want to leave Manchester United.

The striker joined The Red Devils as a teenager from Everton two years ago in a deal which could eventually cost £30 million.

He has quickly established himself as the driving force in the United side and is hoping to remain an integral figure for years to come.

"People say I could now have my pick of clubs, but this is where I want to be," Rooney told The Sunday Mirror.

"In fact, I want to extend my contract at Manchester United. I don't want to go anywhere else.

"I look at people like Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville and I want to be here as long as they have.

"This is a big club and no one I know ever wants to leave.

"I don't have any regrets whatsoever about joining Manchester United.

"I came here because when I was growing up they were the team that won everything and I believe I can achieve what I want to achieve here.

"There is something that is very special about Manchester United and I want to be part of it for as long as I can."

After winning the Carling Cup with United last season, Rooney admits his target is to now lift major honours with the club.

He added: "I want to win everything - The Premiership, the Champions League and, yes, also the World Cup.

"It might not happen, but that's what my aim is. That's the reason why I'm in football.

"Winning the Carling Cup last season was fantastic. It was great to win my first ever medal.

"But the medals that really matter at United are The Premiership and the Champions League. That's how it is at a club this size and hopefully we can achieve those things in the next few years."

I would have to admit that as far as results go, we've had a pretty good pre-season, not that it'll make a difference next season.

One thing thats really bothering me is that when we seem to find a missing piece to the puzzle, another piece goes missing.
I was watching Carrick and Rossi play and thought "Damn, if Ruud was still here, he would have benefitted from those two." I think we desperately need a striker now cuz as long as we find a confident finisher, he's gonna see a lot of chances fall his way with those two in the side.

basically.....Defoe....

Uh oh. Crespo's gone to Inter -> Chelsea are back on the prowl for a striker. So lets just settle with what we've got, there is no point even looking for top quality now, just to do their scouting job for them...

haha! i remember i used to have an inter jersey with crespo number 9 on it.. but because he join chelsea.. i keep it somewhere i don't see... now i trying to dig back again.. haha!! XD

Tevez, Toni, Mascherano... those all seem like pipe dreams. I'd like for once to sign a big name, someone who can actually make a difference in his first season. We'd have to to keep up with Chelsea, and even the other big teams, new signings.
I'd personally love to see Mascherano playing for United.

they definitely won't. Not at this point, unless they want to make alot of their big names angry.

Well they sold Crespo, Duff, Joe Cole is injured, Gallas wants to leave, so that rules out any good striker, winger, CB and wing backs that we might be looking at. The only positions they dont care about is center midfield and goalkeepers cuz they have arguably the best set.

Some papers are reporting the FA will suspend rooney for 3 games. Absolutely disgraceful, a full on joke. I wish there was someway United could get back at them for treating us so sh*t through the years. Suspension for that? My god alan shearer would never have played more than 10 games a season!

 So true. Im afraid common sense has gone out the window with the FA. A real stupid decision, especially since it happened in a friendly. Can United not appeal?

A real stupid fuckin joke of a decision!! He didnt not deliberately do jack shit, why is it the FA always hands out big punishments on us and our players but seems to be lighter on other clubs!? Like the whole Ashley Cole tap up scandal.... Chelsea basically got off lightly... how about deducting them points? hit them where it will actually affect them!
