Haven't seen the red for rooney, scholes deserved his second yellow, though the ref showed him a straight red too. Heard it was a terrible call on roo, who knows, I'll judge when I see a video.

Nice bit is we won 3-1 with 9 players. Only Porto goal an absolutely gorgeous strike from well outside the box, not anything yuo can do about those really. Ole had a class goal...lovin having him back.
 
the sending off for rooney is absurd... i tink referees are aiming at rooney... giving him straight reds when they only deserve a yellow

Porto has some issues with scoring,they can`t 11 vs 9 . Pepe shot was art though

We lack a striker, and it doesn't seem the board will be getting one. We were after Hesselink but PSV wants too much cash. :\
and now we lost McCarthy to Blackburn Rovers.

EDIT: Scholes red was deserved but I really couldn't see a reason for Rooney's red.
 
I cant see you getting a striker, Isnt Smith going to be playing up front when hes back and Rosii would of gone out on loan if he wasnt going to be given a fair go at it.

Wow, that must be more of those great portugese tactics. Watch which player has eyes for ball. The porto player looks at rooney, doesnt' even jump, catches a HAND to the face and goes down like he's been shot. I could care less about the lack of balls that demonstrates, but the ref ate it up. That is in NO WAY WHATSOEVER a sending off. 3 game ban? Let's hope the FA show some courage.
 
It would be so stupid if he got banned in the premiership for that challange. Its a fucking friendly. since when has getting sent off in friendly match resulted in a premiership ban? Any one with a brain can see rooney only had eyes for the ball, plus it was cleary accidental. The FA will prove how stupid they are if they give a ban to rooney.
 
What a shambles the Rooney decision was, quite comical hearing fergie say "he never fucking touched him" on the touchline. Ok there was contact but a red card for that!! some refs these days need sacking. So Scholes will be band for the prem then ?

EDIT: About Rooney it wasn't a red. but it's is own fault. his hand hits the face of the player, not violently of course. maybe it was just to push him away. but thanks to his record with refs I wasn't really surprised.

It's more of a Latin thing. Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, and South American teams in general. Every style of play has its good and bad things.

and so was the Brazilian guy after a few minutes of rolling around, and what about the Portuguese player today, with the Inter player on the floor, Inter player (stupidly) kicks out and taps him on the back of the leg, and he goes down like a sack of shit, and that always happens
