I seen the highlights on SSN, by the looks of it you missed a lot of good chances.

So Fergie's saying smith is going to return to being a striker, we have Rooney, Saha and he also figures Rossi will be getting more time. Plus he's talking about moving Dong Fangzhou over. So all in all, doesn't sound hopeful that we're going to be replacing Ruud with another striker. But does sound like he's not going to give up on a CMF, which is positive. Wonder how much Carrick is going to end up costing, and if spurs are really keen enough to keep him that they won't need the massive sum he'll fetch.

WBA want two players, one loan and one permanent. I'm guessing they want Rossi on loan, any ideas who the permanent would be? Surely they don't expect united to give Richardson back? Curious how high their demands are for their keepr...not sure if he's worth it!

Nah think he will get a striker but not Torres as he does not value him at 25m(rightly so) imo.

SAF realises he needs midfielders. Expect him to go after Defoe, people wont like it but at least SAF knows where our problems are.

Want Sah gone personally but Ruud is going so that aint happening. I have always liked Defoe but like you said he is not the ideal replacement for Ruud.

He would flourish with Rooney tho.

thats very poor if you think about. Its july and we have only gone after two player. We have been linked with many. Of those linked, are the ones who quickly said they were happy at their current clubs, or wanted a move to a another club besides United.
 
well.....United is still huge....plus, we always like to do stuff hidden...not revealed until it was done....got used to it already...we usually don't get the ones we rumour about....

we aren't like chelsea, make it very openly public that they want some players and will pay God knows how much to get them!!
 
all our transfers are drawn out for a month usually, we never do it quickly. only 5 weeks to the start of the season, so that gives us 7 days to announce who we are signing
 
will this be another disappointing summer?? well, to be honest, last summer wasn't that disappointing, we got a great goalkeeper and a great midfielder....but this summer.............we don't even have anyone....
 
I think park will have a good season this year, he's a great player to have come into a game in the 60th/70th minute and inject some pace and general enthusiasm. needs to work a bit on his vision and long passing, but that'll come with experience.

Fergie knows he has to sign a DMF/CMF, he's spoken about it alot, I think he just doesn't want to get burned ala Djemba/Klebs. I'm fairly confident United will try another bid for Carrick, hopefully the allure of OT and UEFA will persuade him, plus his chances of playing for England will improve. I wouldn't argue with a little London raid of Defoe/Carrick :)
