well, only 20 minutes of Germany v Italy played, and Tim Borowski isre-afferming my opinion about him, we need him, he's quality, basically a younger Ballack

If AcMilan get relegated to serie C hopefully, It would be dumb if United didnt go in for Guttuso.
 
Well if teams start raid Milan and Juve, we might as well go for Pirlo too.
 
I think guttuso and carrick would be the ideal partnership. I see carrick as kinda of a wimpy midfielder but good at creating things kinda of like Riquelme. I would expect guttuso doing the dirty man work,tackling, fighting and not pulling out of two footed lunges.

If we do get carrick we will need someone like cambiasso,guttuso or mascherano to suppport him or scholes in midfield. I will laugh if United end up buying no one this summer and just hope for the same team to do better than last season, Im sure that will please the fans!
 
Gattuso/Hargreaves would also work. I wouldnt mind that if Hargreaves can play anything like he did against Portugal.
 
So today pool have confirmed they've made offers/signed Gonzalez, Joaquin and an Argentinian defender (sorry forgot name). They've also got Bellamy (god help them). Chelski have Sheva, Kalou, Ballack and look interested in a few others.

Rumours say that we've made offers to both Riquelme and Carrick, but are those just rumours? And why wouldn't Riquelme want to sign, aren't we still a step up from Villareal? When does the transfer window officially open?

Hargreaves proved his workrate, determination and stamina are second to none, but his distribution is very poor.

considering that we drew with them twice, we got knocked out of the group and they went to the semi finals, then I'd say we're not a step up from Villareal, no. I don't think he wants to play in English football tbh. And please, please just say that the Carrick rumours are just rumours
 
but yeah...if Juve and AC get relegated.....then i really can't see how this would work...i mean, all their players scattered around??? hm.....can we get Kaka?? LOL
 
Knowing us we will just sign plain CACK! Other than Rooney we havent really signed any decent class players in the last couple of years

Its a great kit...I am starting to believe that beachryan posts without much thought beforehand...its definitely not hideous..for that you only have to look at the new Fulham home kit.
 
that big white circle with 2 red stripes under AIG looks pretty strange though. Hope they remove it before it goes on sale.

Just a thought. Do they sell shirts without the sponsors on them? I walk around Japan with my old top on and people look at it and say Vodafone. I want a Man Utd top, not an AIG one.
 
Well everyone's entitled to an opinion, I'm stickign with mine. It reminds me of the kit Wales wore in their recent friendly, the whole time I was like, this reminds me of when you paly as classic teams in video games and they look really dated...but then maybe that was just giggsy's sideburns ;)

I totally agree that the fulham half crazy swirl thing is a bit much too, but then compare that kit with most of the national side ones, like Germany or even the England kit. They're so much classier. That big white collar just doesnt' do it for me. Maybe it'll look better from different angles, who knows.

Do we get a new third kit? Can we please go back to white, that was easily the best.

Yep, the new away will be white, and the 3rd will be last season's blue.
 
the new kit looks very nice and neat. When I first saw the new AIG sponsor logo , I thought it would come out crap on any kit but its suprised me. Its also much better than our previous vodafone rubbish kits.
