Smith wasn't looking so good yesterday. We have a problem of our midfield not linking properly with the attack.

i thought we looked good in spots in the first half, but then rooney and ronaldo dissapeared, rooney almost had the winner...

IMO, we should start Park and bring on Ronaldo later instead of doing it the other way round.

We played well for the first 20 mins but then after that we were quite bad apart from one or two little moments. I dont know what it is but im alot more confident about our away games than the home games and to tell the truth we havent been convincing at home for about a year now.
Something gives but i just cant put my finger on it.

really? I thought park didnt do so well we he came in, defensiveley he is a HUGE liability, his marking and tackling skills are poor, ronaldo seems to be ok in that respect, i think ronny has been playing his best footie of the year over the last two games....

Will United play with a sponser-less shirt now that they and vodafone agreed to end the deal with them wanting to sponser the Champions League in the future

If so that'll look pretty weird

I remember commenting to me mate last night that Ronaldo's crossing seems to have gone back down to the levels of when he first appeared in the Prem - and people were saying it's his main weakness.

Saw him quite a few times last night make either no effort when crossing or just knock it in the box with as much placement as a meteor coming down in a hurricane.

I personally think he's playing worse than last year.

I agree. I thought Ronaldo had a poor game. Crossing, back-tracking and tackling was poor. Fletcher, well, no offence mate, but he runs like a girl and looks scared half the time.
I like Park, love seeing him do his back-flips and somersaults.

Are you kiddin'? Park's defending is much more reliable than Ronaldo's and when Park came on, our football went up a gear. Ronaldo on the other hand sem to waste too many opportunities to cross or shoot.

Ronaldo's shooting choices really have to mature...he has been taking wild shots that are just.....sad......

Park has been great!! i think we should start Park and get the spark out of him right at the start, then near the end, we still can have Ronaldo doing what he usually does in the first half.

Fletcher with confidence = good option. Fletcher right now, when he looks petrified of losing the ball at all times, = he loses the ball at all times. Ronaldo has not grown up at all int he time he's been at united. I like to think that he will in the next 5 years or so, let's hope. Rooney, legend, move him back to midfield, put saha up front for the one game he'll play before gettign injured again. Scholes and smithy, its nice to defend guys but getting a goal will greatly help in winning. Silvestre, if you knock one more unecessary long ball up hopefully towarsd the forwards instead of allowing the midfielders to build up ont he ground...i swear to god...

Who needs vodafone, i'd imagine we'll earn more from the sponsors bidding war...or so i hope.

Maybe Tampax would be a more suitable new sponsor for United since their going through a bad period :D

would be weird to see United without a sponsor! Probably as weird as seeing Barcelona without a sponsor. But Barca's reason is different. They have 35 club sponsors, but the fans reject having a team shirt 'degraded'... (the exact words of the Camp Nou guide 2 years ago!)

Its because to the Catalans,Barcelona are their national team...national team dosent allow sponsors to be printed on their kit,thus you get the Barca kit.Barca still generate cash from their sponsors of course.The story about our shirt deal is a mutual one.Vodafone wanted to move on and be one of the main sponsor for Champions League next season and the United PLC believes that we can generate more cash with a different sponsor.The agreement I believe is mutual unlike some of the stories I heard,nothing to do with our blip or decline whatsoever.I believe we will get a big electronics company,something like Sony Ericsson or what have you.It must be a bigger brand that vodafone definitely and I have a feeling it will appeal more to the Asian and American(?) market.

As you say thay about Barcelona they since this year they have intoduced a sponcer on the sleeve for the 1st time the TV3 logo and have been in negotiations with the organizing committee for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. The deal would run through 2010 when Barca would bear the logo for the 2010 Asian Games! Even the Barcelona basketball team now has a logo aswell Swiss insurance company Winterthur! i guess after everything money talks!

So sad to see best go like this. i dont know the man but it saddens and comes as a shock that he falls ill like this and is dying. My thoughts are with his family and close friends.

With those seven words hammered out on a telegram from a talent scout to Old Trafford, the legend of George Best was born.......

Being too young I never got to see the Busby Babes or Charlton, Law, and Best play but as a young mancunian I knew who these players we're before I knew who Father Christmas was (well they wear the same colours).

So as with many United supporters my thoughts go out to his family and to the man who played the game like no other and brought millions happiness with his ability and attitude towards the game and lived his life to the fullest....

Very true my dad always went on how he was the greatest hed ever seen!George Best R.I.P although living life to the fullest was his biggest downfall....

the thing is, to him it wasnt his downfall, he played for 10 years solid and missed only a handful of games then his life afterwards he spent it how he wanted....

if thats someones downfall i'll take two!!!

Just to point something out:

Catalonia's team is by no means a "national" team, but a "regional" team. There is a team for each region in Spain, and they usually play a couple of friendly games throughout the year.. but they're not official. The only official Spanish international team is the FEF Spanish National Team.

Just my two cents...

and btw, it is very sad to see Best go so soon. My prayers are with him...

Thats a appaling attitude to have i know from 1st hand expirence how alchohol can ruin lives and familys in a very similar to the way George Best has gone! Im sure you would be different if you had in anyway lossed a family member to a similar fate im positive your oulokk on life would be some what different...
