I've lost an uncle and my dad to booze mate so I know all about it...

I've seen it many times, you have to philisophical about these things, but everyone deals with it differently...

it doesnt change anything, my dad choose to do that, thats his responsibilty, losing him made us all stronger, it was his choice, who am i to tell anyone how to live...

Totally agree with you here. I find what Vann said kinda selfish. Its easy to say you dont care about the concequences cuz once you're dead, you're not the one that has to deal with them.

davy jones is at deepdale on loan this year and i tell ya i see more of a player in him than i did in beckham when he was here.
his loan will be reviewed at christmas and it wouldnt surprise me if he get a recall by sir alex in january which will be are loss.

Both good and bad extremes in his life, Best was at least, the best on the pitch. As he said himself, as long as people remember what he did on the pitch, he doesn't care what people think of the rest. RIP.

No mate, I'm not talking about that, it's the previous 2 the 'I'll have 2' and the worst being 'Not thinking of other people' in relation to his family. Sorry but that just plain disgusts me, the only thing that plain fills me with dread is losing any loved ones, whether it be me or them.

But if that's your feeling towards your family then fine, just not my cup of tea.

people dont "think of their families" when they smoke/drink or do anything that puts them at risk...

so if what I said disgusts you, you must lead a sheltered life, everyone you know must lead very healthy lifestyles...

Having a smoke or a drink isnt really a serious risk. Its when you want to live the sort of lifestyle that you want that it becomes serious. So yeah, if I knew someone like Best, I'd probably wish I didnt.

This isnt about Best or alcohol anymore. This is more about you willing to forget (or not care or however you want to put it) your family simply because "you only get one life." If everyone around you lived that lifestyle, f*ck knows where you'd be right now.
If thats the way you live or want to live then fine. But if you want my opinion, you're already dead.

Side news,we have ruled out a bid for Ballack and Sir Alex wants to look elsewhere,focusing the lack of depth problem that the squad is facing now.If that is the case,I believe we will get a striker,def midfielder and a fullback,definitely.

I'd like someone who can link with the attack better than the current midfield. Smith and Fletch just aren't up to it. Scholes is great, but thats when he's not deciding to frustratingly sit back, like we saw last game.
I think Rooney can play a simlar role to Scholes, just behind the attack. Maybe we'll see that with the return of Saha.
Plus we'll need to fill some positions because of all the injuries. We'll also need some cover in attack, now that Smith is doing the midfield thing.
If I had my way, I'd try to get Cassano before Juve try and get him. It's a very unlikely transfer though.

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that the club expect to land their number one transfer target in the summer, not in the January transfer window.

After the departure of Roy Keane a defensive midfielder is believed to be high on Ferguson's list of priorities, and The Red Devils have been linked strongly with Milan star Gennaro Gattuso.

Whilst the name of Ferguson's coveted star remains under wraps, the United boss freely admits he is in the process of creating another gifted side to grace Old Trafford.

The Scot's long term security in his current job has been the subject of some speculation in recent weeks, but the legendary manager says his enthusiasm for bringing through the next generation of United stars means he can see himself in the job for a number of seasons yet.

"The whole logic of the past couple of years has been building a new team," added Ferguson.

"Darren Fletcher is 21, Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo are 20, they will get better for sure. And Gerard Pique and Giuseppe Rossi will come through in the next wave.

Anyone know if John Obi Wan kenobi is still joining us in january? I have a feeling he is a very good talent and would do well for us. Btw in that article SAF doesnt know the age of his own player, fletcher is 24 not 21, i think Fergie wishes he was only 21.

Pfff, Milan aint a team in need of money, they can hold onto Gattuso... especially because of his status at the club - fan idol and next captain.

I understand this but it dont matter whether the club need the money or not, its whether the offer is too good to refuse and the profit made from the player is high. As he isnt always going to be around forever. Plus milan may need to shorten their squad numbers. Im not saying its defintley going to happen and we may not even be interested but there is always a possibility.

I think he's still joining us but I dont know how the club will handle him. If he desperately wants to move away then SAF isnt the type of person thats gonna get in your way.

LOL. I remember watching Sir Alex on MUTV live after a game when he said Ronaldo was 18 when in fact he was 19. And then on the rerun, they edited the interview and Sir Alex said 19 the second time.
