Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I really believe that we might be getting Sanchez. There's all kinds of chat around it, and he's exactly the kind of player we need to be opposite Nani - particularly when we play 433. That's the kind of attacking force we need to take pressure off of the centre of midfield.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I rate the lad, but I don't think he's ever played from the left (hes played centrally now) and sometimes he just seems far to "rushed", hes all action. I would prefer Hazard (will become a superstar) but he's Arsenal/Real bound.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

The player I like the most and will soon hate the most  is Rafael young tough as nails, probably eats his food alive n bloody. He`s doing the business now too!

Think players like that are the best way to get imagine clevery do it next season it`s a risk no doubt, but Mutd has lots of good players that needs polishing . Nothing to worry about, btw I see a 1-3 victory and 4pts ahead today :COAT:

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Come on United - these 3 points are worth the same as the 3 on Wednesday, so for the love of God please don't screw this up...

Anyone know if the Wigan pitch is it's usual mudbath?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Strange match, we were rubbish in the first half, but turned it on in the second - despite not changing anything major.

Hernandez is class. Really want to work out his goals per minute ratio. Class. On track for 15 goals in his debut season, mainly a sub! Crazy.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I was there today (and got to see it for free :D).

Simply watching Hernandez's movement is enough to confirm how good he is. He doesn't get picked out anywhere near as much as he should considering how good his runs are.

Scholes' pass to him in the first half when he got put through was just...:WORSHIP: as well.

Great to hear the fans singing stuff like 'Ancelotti are you listening' and 'that boy Ronaldo, makes England look shite', made me think of 06/07 and how good that season was.

Now why didn't we play this formation on wednesday? I'd take Fletch on the right over Rooney on the left wing any day.

Let's just pray Rooney won't get banned for his silly elbow. Even not at his best, we'll need him in the next 2 games. But hey, if Gerrard can escape punishment for something like this, why shouldn't he?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

He's just a fat scouse cunt, no other way of describing him.

His attitude is absolutely piss poor and to do that so early in a game with the run of games we've got next is bordering on insanity.

I pray to god the summer sorts him out.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I missed it. Any clips of the incidence?

As for Chicharito... well what can be said that we already haven't said?! :D

Guy's phenomenal! His movement, acceleration, composure, he's a real gem!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

This is going to be yet another example of one rule for United, one for the rest of the league. If a player from any other team did something that was seen by the referee, and punished by the referee, FIFA dictates that the FA can't do anything about it. Hence the Gerrard thing, and to be honest it makes some sense given how many poor decisions are made each week by refs.

But this is Wayne Rooney. This is the British Press. This is a 45 second dedicated slow mo replay on Match of the Day. This is Sunday Supplement claiming that Clattenberg would have sent off a 'London player'. No Rooney will be banned, and will be the first and only person to be treated this way (unless another United player does something).

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

To be honest, he's playing so bad that It wouldnt be the loss some are making out. I would love to see his individual performance from yesterday, I think he lost the ball with either his first or 2nd touch 80% of the time.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Yeah, I'd take Sanchez over Young all day long. Will be happy with either, both could improve us at the moment. Not sure how we'll work with Valencia, Nani and one of them, but rotation is good.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

So the beast is now back with the first team. Oh, how I wish he could play against Chelsea.

PGMO acknowledges Clattenburg only saw the two players tripping but not the elbowing. Does that mean that he can be punished using images?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Not if the referee has said he's satisfied with the punishment he gave if he saw it, which he has.

Put simply, we've got off massively lucky for once.

:APPLAUD:

Whilst reading that on the United site there was a preview of an interview with Nani. Did anyone notice that he wears his socks backwards?

I'm still in shock. I think United are too. This is the first time in recent memory the FA haven't just buckled under pressure from the media with regards to our players.

Interesting to note while all that was going on yesterday a league player was sentenced for being caught doing performance enhancing banned substances - and given a 4 month ban. Good to see Rio's precedence lives on.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Any Anderlecht fans out there?: Derniere Heure and other media confirm midfielder Adnan Januzaj (16) will join #mufc next season.

Also, we're going to lose tonight. And it will be scrappy, ill-tempered and controversial. Sigh.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

So do you guys think you'll get f$%cked tonight and at the weekend? All the media attention will surely result in either Chelsea or Liverpool getting away with something, or Utd being harshly treated. A bet for Vidic to be sent off at Anfield looks good right now ;)

But can't help but hope it does happen, after all it's a nice balance to Fergie using the media to put pressure on the ref's before matches.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I'd say it's more likely that Vida will go tonight, part of Torres' well honed run at United player, wait for hint of contact, fall down increduously technique.

And yes, I do think that United will be given a harsh decision or two, and that the media will jump and down with joy. Because that's what their sad lives come down to.

Not sure what Fergie could have done different with the Rooney thing. He predicted that the treatment of Rooney would be completely different from any other player, and indeed he was right. Who else could have feature sections of both MOTD and MOTD2 dedicated to them? Who else could have taken the back page headlines away from a Chelsea player SHOOTING SOMEONE? Only that loveable, fallable, United player Wayne.
