Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

No chance of that, did you see him at the World Cup?! we'll be lucky if Stoke put a bid in.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Chicharito is with the lads in Texas

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Charito is their guide, probably has more fans in Texas then anyone else he`s the star of the team atm w/o touching the ball

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Inappropriate...but pretty funny.
Excited to see him play, hopefully his movement is as good as it looked at the WC, and Nani decides to play with his head up for a change : )

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Mutd looked pretty impressive last night that is a huge stadium to fill. Charito`s reception was expected the crowd went wild . Fergie giving nani the blow dryer treatment on the side lines. I imagine for holding the ball too long and getting a slight knock lol .

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Great game for us. Kiko scored 2 with the first being within 25 seconds of the game starting. Gibson scored a rocket freekick, Cleaverly scored a lovely goal, and Chicharito scored a nice lob too.

Easily our best game of preseason.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I wouldn't have believed it given the background and 'who the f*ck' general response to his signing, but this lil Chicarito character looks rather good. He was only on the pitch 20 minutes, but took 3 shots on target (obviously scored with one) and produced the foul that led to Gibbo's rocket.

He is definitely a last shoulder player, and cripes is he fast over 10 yards. Plus played with some real composure, and almost better to see, real joy at the occasion. Looks like a really nice young lad, who is genuinely appreciate for his place in life.

Am starting to get excited.

Nicely observed. This guy is freaking fast! I've noticed that during the World Cup.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

apparently according to the stat people he was the fastest player at the world cup! he reminds me of Owen of 10 years ago (not the sack of shit version that we signed), loves playing on the last defender but i've also seen him play in a deeper role and he's pretty effective there too. i'm cautiously excited about him

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I always think of him as a young Owen too.

Looks like he'll be a great addition, even if just as an impact player from the bench this season.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

charitos goal was offside but you couldn`t deny him the goal on a friendly I`m happy because this player could be the bridge . I`m very please seeing Mutd go the distance to reach North,Central and South America and imo that`s what is being done. This player speak English fluently I teach in a bilingual school. Where parent refuse to learn English and Now, I have a Hero (Charitos) as example. I will NEVER EVER support Mutd ,but if this person can make the distance his role is massive for education. His reception was bigger than Landon`s  .Barca n America played in that stadium and last night attendance surpass it  .

You lots don`t care I know .... I wouldn`t call these new patch of fans "plastic" because they are given the chance to see and meet players and Mexico support Charitos so as long as he is playing you are hooking fans to your club. I went to Highbury and wasn`t a fan at the time. It was when I got a closer look of the IceMan (WC `94 Orlando) he hooked me to the club. I know it`s not the normal way ,but the generation has changed. Once your hooked you can`t pull out. My perspective from a fan abroad :TU:

He's got amazing pace, composure, looks to be clinical finishing chances and has a excellent sense for making the right runs at the right time.

Seriously I think we've got ourselves a gem here.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

good find from the game it looked yards off because that frame is from him coming back to onside. Doesn`t matter really lol

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

No he started jogging back towards halfway taking the defender with him then turned quick as a flash and was gone. It all happened so fast. Same thing vs France, he looked off then too.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I wouldnt say he'll rip the league apart just yet but I can imagine him being very useful in Europe.
I can just see him getting us all those important goals on the break, when we're pushed onto the back foot against European giants like Inter and Barca.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I remember getting all excited over Vela when he first came, looks amazing against not so good teams (scoring lovely goals etc) and then nothing against top level compitition.

Vela is still young and I think he will be a really good player. But I am just pointing out it is easy to get excited over these players.

Although your player looks like he has more potential than Vela at the moment, the speed will definately be a big attribute for him.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Yeah, well Cleverley was Watfords MVP last year OKAY? The American commentator said so.
