Manchester United Thread

I think Tevez will be dropped for Anderson. I think 3 in the Middle with Anderson Fletcher and Giggs will be the way we go. I think SAF biggest decision will be were Rooney plays. He has been amazing when played on the left this season but I dont think he enjoys it as much as uptop.

I think we'll start out like this

----------Van-Der-Sar----------
O'Shea--Ferdinand-Vidic--Evra
----------Fletcher---------
-----Anderson------Giggs---
-Ronaldo---Berbatov-------
---------Rooney----------

Depending on how the game goes Either we'll go for the F4™ or we'll probably look to kill the game.

Two thoughts:
1. Surely the match on Saturday was the best for everyone? United fans get to be happy about the win and the nature of it. Spurs fans get to be happy because they can harp on about a penalty decision, and ignore the fact that Palacios could have ended Ronaldo's career, oh and their team showed the bottle of a French general when they were WINNING 2-1. Liverpool fans can point towards the fact that every referee, linesman, mascot and advertiser is actually a United fan, and they deserve to win the title based on the attacking performances in the last 2 months of the season, and really they're hte moral winners, and maybe they should just give the league title to them, because really, they've tried really hard.

2. The PFA award is a joke. Don't bother talking about it.

 Nice points Ryan!

Obviously Giggs wasn't the best player in the league this season, but his fellow professionals (not fans/pundits) have voted for him through sentiment, respect or whatever to acknowledge his achievements. He's a legend and a rarity in the modern game.

Comparing him to Hyypia is laughable, Giggs has played fantastically most of the time and is approaching his 800th game for the club. That's pretty much unprecidented. He's influential and a role model to all young players. I suppose Pool fan's just can't understand how Stevie Me didnt win it, after all he is the top scorer in England....oh no wait that's "shadow of the player he was" Ronaldo ;)

Ashley Young hasn't been the best young player either, but it doesn't matter. Get over it.

Giggs should have won the award before now, and I wouldn't want to take it away from him.

I don't think any Liverpool fans on here have come out and said Gerrard should have won it (infact hes missed too much of the season, i wouldnt even conisder Torres even though hes got something like 13 league goals in 16 starts....infact I put forward some names from rival clubs, even Everton ffs!

Hyypia and Giggs is quite a decent comparison, everytime they are asked to step in they are brilliant and don't put a foot wrong.

I wasn't attacking Man United, i just think its a stupid decision and even though the players supposedly nominate other players, I often think they too are swept up by the media salivating over players.

thinking about it, I think Lampard would be a better option......ooooo

He has been amazing when played on the left this season but I dont think he enjoys it as much as uptop..

Everything i've ever heard suggests that Rooney doesn't like playing uptop leading the line anywhere near as being behind the frontman, so he probably enjoys being on the left more, especially considering how good he's been this season there.

I wonder if there's any truth in this:

Manchester United winger Nani faces an uncertain future at Old Trafford following his second-half substitution in the 5-2 victory over Tottenham. The Portugal international has yet to complete 90 minutes in six Premier League starts this season.
Nani Set For Exit

After his performances this season I don't think we'd miss him. Hopefully Tosic will be ready for next season...

It's a shame that his form has been so poor this year. I thought he did pretty good last season.

The guy just lacks confidence at the moment. He must be feeling a lot of pressure as well since people expect him to turn into some kind of Ronaldo. The fact that Queiroz is gone might also have something to do with his form. I really think he helped him develop his game last year. Now it's like he doesn't have a clue to what to do anymore.

Maybe a half-year on loan in another Premier League team would do him good. He's young and still has time to improve his game. At the moment though, he's nowhere near Giggs, Park and of course Ronaldo.

He's got all the ability. Its just the experience and decision making thats letting him down. I'm talking about shooting when he needs to pass or cutting back when he needs to cross, etc. And things like that shouldnt take more than a few months to fix. A loan deal would help but that all depends on where he goes though.

I dont think Nani needs to go anywhere. He just need to stay here and develop his game just like how Ronaldo did.He is at a top club with arguably the best facilities and coaches...however,he should show more grit and determination to succeed in doing that.

Danny Welbeck is rumoured to be going on loan to Everton. That should be a good move for him if it happens. He should get more game time in the Premiership with the Toffees.

Have you lot seen our new home kit for next season in the New Kits Section?

Nani isn't going Anywhere SAF has just said. I think Nani will develop into a quality player, Simao like. I think cause of Ronaldo we don't like to play with 2 out and out wingers. Either when Ronaldo leaves or gets moved to a CF then we might see two proper wingers again.

I think if Ronaldo leaves and we get Ribery, then we can concentrate on improving Nani.

Obviously I can't stand the bloke at the minute, but I'd be more than pleased if he turned out like Simao.

just seen Palacios's lunge. Shocking, one of the worst I've seen. I know its Ronaldo and injury to him would actually bring me a tiny bit of joy, but....he should be punished for that, big time.

@ Petrov - Respect for that mate. I'd feel the same way if it was on Gerrard or the like. Just awful. And made so much worse by the utter silence from the UK media. Scum. Of. The. Earth.

apparently its been a mix of injuries and in form players keeping nani out of the side and low on confidence. i see him becoming a good player, he hasnt played terribly when he has got a game, he played like he was coming back from injury and not getting any games.

i think im more of an optimist than some of you guys though lol

It's a fake.

Its not a fake mate...my buddy who works with nike just confirmed it with me.

I haven't had a away kit since the blue one from 05 so I'll probably get the away. The black one from 07/08 was class! should of kept it.

That black away was class...but I prefer our white away kit 06/07...thats top class!

The away kit for next season will be exactly like the home but in white with red or black 'V' design.

I dont mind that top at all, I thought AIG was off though ?

A white away with a black V would look nice

Onto tonight, please dont concede id love to see a clean sheet because United are more than capable of scoring at the Emirates (havent they always scored at Emirates ?)

If United can carry on where they left off attacking wise from Saturday and Arsenal defend like they did against Liverpool it could be very interesting

I remember before the OT match last year it was a similar situation and they wiped the floor with us. I think we'll be pretty cautious tonight.

Edging ever and ever closer! :))

Im looking forward to tonight. Have a good feeling about it. Something we should look at is Ronaldo V Gibbs. The young full back looked like he had trouble against Kuyt and if thats the case Ronaldo could tear him apart.

Hopefully the game can be great one, I'll take another 4-2 ;))
