Manchester United Thread

:D Yeah that's briljant. Something like that happend awhile back aswell. Another big player with quote's and everything coming out of Brazil but it was again just a fan site having a joke/making a point.

That's what gets me aswell wth all these "mind games", they never publish the interviewer's question and make it out as if something has been raging and all that. It's just boring!

 The story is getting really big, Imagine if we get Ancelotti, Kaka and SAF to talk about it...and it all started from a thread!

The Italian press already asked Ancelotti about it today ... he just said that Kaka is going to stay, especially after turning down the City offer.

Looks like we're trying to fuck it up again. Evra has been piss poor. Unless we can get an early goal I can't see us getting anything from this now.

Pool fans are such bitters. Like they never get any dodgy decsions (our penalty today for the record was very close).

Great comeback, whatever Fergie said at half time clearly worked. He must have told Ronaldo that he can go to Real if he scores twice cos he was well up for it! ;)

The 2 goals were off the run of play, poor defending but we were on top in the first half. In the second they just couldnt handle the pressure and frequency of our attacks.

Shame Cariltos didnt score would have capped a perfect comeback.

And let all Manchester United Fans give a BIG Thank You to Gomes!

Thanks Gomes.

So, so elated after feeling so terrible from that first half.

With or without the penalty (it wasn't one but hell, last week it was) we absolutely battered them. Granted we needed something to get back into it, but we (especially Rooney) were magnificent.

Ronaldo had a good game as well, scored twice but actually look bothered in the process.

Hopefully we'll play like that secnd half for the rest of the season.

:OOOH:Bit rich that, and a bit OTT. The game looked like Utd were never going to get back into it despite their hard work after the break until the penalty. It gave them hope. What was seen afterwards was brilliant attacking verve. Bitter? I don't think so.

Today reminded me of Everton 06/07 Im worried for Wednesday as last time in the CL semi after that match we got a 3-0 humping

After a dull first 20 minutes I thought it was going to be one of those we we might need a late 1-0 but turned out to be anything but. How good was Rooney?! Ronaldo as usual when we need him steps up, he does it EVERYTIME!

Overall we got a bit of luck but got the much needed 3 points.

I'm just glad I stayed up. I honestly thought of going to bed at half time. I think yesterday would have cost us the league if we'd lost. The penalty may have spurred us on but we had created a few chances before that. It's impossible to say if it really changed the game as we may have converted a chance just after and then gone on from there. Still, I'll take it as we've had a few penalties turned down this year.

So this is what's left..

Liverpool fixtures :-
Newcastle (H)
West Ham (A)
West Brom (A)
Spurs (H)

Man Utd fixtures :-

Boro (A)
Man City (H)
Wigan (A)
Arsenal (H)
Hull (A)

..................P....Pts..GD
Man Utd.....33...77...38
Liverpool....34...74...40

I think Liverpool will win 3 and draw the Spurs game. That will put them on 84 points.
I think United will win 3 and draw Wigan and Arsenal. That will put them on 88 points.

Even if we lose 2 games, that still leaves us on 86 points. So basically, Liverpool have to win every game now.
Sounds good to me.

I would say the WH one would be the draw for Liverpool, if thats a draw then its over, but a win should keep it tight for them to win the other two. And playing Hull away on a cabage patch pitch is a pain in the arse aswell for utd. Hopefully boro can do their usual against a 2nd string utd.

It's funny how people are saying the game only changed because of the penalty...
What about Palacios' disgusting 2 footed lunge on Ronaldo after 10 minutes? It should have been a red card (even my Spurs mates agree), but because it was against us it isn't being mentioned...

Sorry maybe it was a bit harsh. Yesterday's reaction really wound me up though, the ABU mentality from the media is ridiculous and we all know how most people just follow everything that the media say without thinking for themselves.

Just watched the match again. Ronaldo's passion was great to see, him and Rooney were superb and Tevez's energy really lifted us when we need the goals. Berba was great too, really started picking the passes allowing the other 3 to pivot off him like we've been saying to try all season.

Still getting shivers watching the team celebrate the 3rd goal. :WORSHIP:
