Manchester United Thread

well if they want 32 million for him i can. hes good, but hes not that good.

if he was scoring every week then that would justify it but hes coming off the bench and playing in the carling cup.

It has been a fantastic first half for us.The lads looked really good holding up the game.Fletch and Giggs are working their socks off and I hope they continue.

Would be great if Rooney,Ronaldo and Berba stepped up their game in the second half.

We should get one more goal...sub a forward and put in Carrick to shut up shop...

Giggs is looking dangerous. We just need one of his forward runs to end in a decent through ball and we could get another. Need to keep it tight for the first 10 minutes 'cause they're gonna go for us.

chelsea have looked dangerous, scolari has ferguson on tactics.

ronaldo is crap man, i cant wait til we ship him off to madrid. i tolerated the dives and the diva attitude when he was scoring every week but i cant take it anymore.

So much for Chelsea looking dangerous. They really don't have a plan B do they?

Anyways, this is the perfect way to ruin Liverpools weekend, and a massive statement to the rest of the league. Everyone played brilliantly today, couldn't fault any of them, even Ronaldo.

It's ours to lose I say...

Manutd just needs to walk in and take it like a winning lotto ticket that no one will claim. All of my opinion... chels just don't want it and pool is not even sure what to do with it. Arsenal having medieval Medical staff that does more harm then good to the players

plan A was working pretty well, he shouldnt have changed it at all.

ive got no complaints though, scholari being shite is only good for us.

GET IN! :DD Quality performance. The first goal (not given) was class, they had no clue! Giggs and Park were immense, Vidic and Evans did well aswell. Today summed up Ronaldo's season though, Scored twice and both disallowed wrongly.

Overall this maybe the weekend we look back on and say "thats where we won it" :))

Well that was just brilliant. I bet Rafa was squirming in his seat watching that today! The best thing is, we didn't even play that well, we still lacked incisiveness and that cutting edge when attacking, it was only when Chelsea started coming at us and we had more space that we looked good on the counter.

I thought Rooney looked onside when he span round Carvalho onto Berba's flick but I haven't seen the replay yet so I may be wrong.

The atmosphere was great anyway, John Terry got proper ripped

And when Drogba sliced we had "What the fucking hell was that? Whaaaaaaaaaat the fucking hell was that? What the fuck, what the fuck, WHAT THE FUCKING HELL WAS THAT?" Followed by "Are you Terry in disguise?"

Surprised we didn't sell out to be honest.

Did they have any tickets on sale to One United members or was it all just season tickets and so on.

I didn't check cause I figured there'd be no chance.

:WOOT:

So how did Rooney get away with telling the ref to fuck off, walking away, having a go at the ref again, then telling him to fuck off as he walked away?

And his tantrum at the corner flag?

Respect campaign eh? Yep, the FA have it all under control

Yes, thats the real talking point of the game. Forget the two Ronaldo goals that were disallowed.

Disallowed goals aren't a part of this ongoing "Respect" campaign that the FA keep bleating about, yet choose to ignore when they want it to, or when it suits them.

@ DagsJT - I was shocked he got away with his tirade against Botswinga. But he was later booked for a relatively meek challenge so probably balanced out. As for the linesman rant - wouldn't you be pretty pissed off is somethign you'd worked at in training, planned for the match, and executed to perfection in the rules of hte game was ruled out because a linseman was dimwitted? And Giggs and Fletcher also went off on him, don't notice you chastising them here.

I guess with such a good weekend you'd need something to have a dig at. Why don't you follow Benitez's example and begin to question David Gill's role at the FA? Because none of the other big teams have had their representatives in his position.

Bottom line is you're still top of the league. Start acting like it.

Hahahaha...true enough beachryan. Its a wierd position with them till they dont know what to do with it!

I knew we would really have a go at Chelski.Fletch and Giggs were awesome, young Evans held up pretty well against the Drog and Park gave his usual 200% performance.

We deserved to win but 3 goals really painted shame all over them.

The real test imo is how we play against Wigan. Our biggest issue this season has been inconsistency, and given that we're almost guaranteed to play a completely different midfield on Wednesday, it'll be telling if we don't get the 3 points. In the end, if Pool end up being the main rivals for the league, a win over Chelsea and a win over Wigan are exactly the same. And we need both (and one at Bolton) if we want to get back up to where we belong.
