Manchester United Thread

Gutted really because we looked great before and after taking the lead...after that it all went Pool's way.It a disappointing game for us but still,hats off to the Scouse for bringing their A-game...NEXT.
 
Man Utd played horrible the second half, one of the worst second half I have seen from them. They couldnt string more than 2 passes together. Very disappointing.
 
Abysmal.

All went downhill after the goal.

Berba was awful, but not nearly as bad as VDS, and Vidic was just silly.

And why, if you play all three of Tevez, Rooney and Berbatov, put Rooney on the right wing where he can't do anything.

Shocking.
 
Carrick out for Giggs, that's where you lost. After that the flow of the game changed completely. Anderson was no longer free.

Heargreaves should've come on for Carrick, and you remain on top.

And early on the 2nd half, Nani in for Berba would've been good. Rooney just doesn't get a break does he?
 
We were beaten by a team that wanted it more IMO. SAF tactics were pretty poor, Rooney on the right was just....lets not go there :SS Van Der Sar was extremely poor and really Liverpool werent threatening us until he gifted them 2 chances one which Brown had to finish! Then HT we bring of Carrick for Giggs? Eh! dont we already now Anderson-Scholes partnership is probably the worst we have together.

Liverpool were just attacking at will after that but I think even with Liverpool wanting it more than us if we had actually got the right team out we would have atleast got a point. I wonder who SAF plays in the CL game now! Im sure Ronaldo will play some part so he'll be ready for Chelsea. Hopefully we find a system to fit them in now.
 
Nice to see you all saying we deserved it, credit to you guys. When Berbatov got that assist, I dreaded the rest of the match. I thought he did alright though? He held the ball up, used his strength and fitted in well.

Rooney on the wing though? Bad move I thought.
 
Im not a bit sorry ..more happy you lots lost might give the rest of us some hope before you lots wake up and start running riot (Rooney playing behind striker suits him best) Berba-slug slow and lazy!! some work for SAF to do
 
Berba did ok for his first match, If Rooney isnt played as a SS now then I can see Rooney considering to leave :(( We miss Ronaldo's pace which and the fact teams put 2-3 players on him which would give the likes of Rooney, Tevez and Berbatov that extra amount of space.
 
Ye Liverpool deserved win shocking can only describe that performance i thought we really had grip on game with goal then nightmare happened. VDS with moment of madness cost us again i think he good keeper just lets himself down with moments of madness and switches off.

As for Berbatov he got assist he didnt really deliver much for rest of game but to be fair so did nobody else really.

Chelsea up next in Prem they will be without Terry by looks of things and us Vidic we certainly need to up our game we usually do after defeat but will be tough.
 
Were is ronaldo???

we need him back BADDDDly cause since the start of the season, were not playing well at all. Tevez is the only diehard worker
 
A win,a draw and now a loss for us...a rough start nonetheless.We should take pride from last season as we got off on a similar slow start.As many would agree with me on this,it was one of our worst performance against Liverpool for quite some time now.As this is Liverpool,it hurts more than usual but we have to move on from this as when the going gets tough,the tough gets going.
 
No-one is writing you off yet though. But you can't afford any slips ups to the "rest", particularly if Liverpool continue to win ugly, or click in flow, and Chelsea carry on as they are, heck even Arsenal look brilliantly confident again.

Yeah I think your right mate, Ferdinand and Upson scored with 2 headers in the second half,

We started really well yesterday, lasted for about 20 mins then Liverpool upped their game and we couldnt handle it, Carrick going off changed a lot to be fair, Rooney looked clueless on the right wing, totally got it wrong with tactics yesterday, Liverpool were unlucky not to win by more, fully deserved, It could be a blessing in disguise to be honest, might wake us up.

Exactly. Winning games is fine but it doesn't matter about being top or whatever right now.
 
Never write United off. They'll be up there, come the end of the season.

Though Liverpool did need to win. And they need to win and stay on top against Stoke. Because I don't think we're confident enough to chase a title, unlike United, who've done it time and time again.

Yeah actually doesnt have its complete squad rite now. When they have, they'll start playing properly.

One more thing i noticed, Ferguson, whenever is losing or having a draw is almost on the edge of the touchline shouting at everyone, but yesterday, he was as quite as a rat. Shows he was really pissed!!

Playing Rooney on the right wing was just wrong. If SAF felt the urge to play him on the wing then atleast throw him on the left so he can get to face the goal and shoot. On the right he's just as good as dead.
