Thing is we would lack width which IMO is vital in the league, but that formation could definitely work wonders in Europe.

Aye but apparently we are only going to be making ONE signing this summer, which is why I doubt it would be Huntelaar because if it was, we would probably need someone to supply him service from the midfield.

Sir Alex did say that "we are looking at one or two things" about the transfers.Did anyone watch the Euros? Yuri Zhirkov was superb,bombing up and the down Russia's left flank,not to mention his constant crossings....

Huntelaar would be a great signing, i doubt we would need to bring in someone with great delivery, we already create a bundle of chances and the reason Ronaldo scored so many is because he's the closest player we have for a poachers instinct. also Zhirkov claimed he's already agreed a deal with us so also he might be arriving aswell, seems a very good player.

I wont worry about crosses...we've got plenty in the squad.Hargreaves,Giggs and Nani(put in a peach of a cross for Postiga to score in the euros) all can cross the ball superbly...add Zhirkov to that and that problem is done and dusted.

I think Huntelarr is going to spurs since kean is leaving...Spur been so active in the last 2 season they got an itch for buying players :LOL:

Mauntd are very strong already don`t see anyone new making a difference (Arsenal plays so much better attracting football imo yes!I know no trophies:lol:) bunch of counter-attackers anyone you get w/ speed will kill most of the teams

Honestly, I can't see Huntelaar coming. Berbatov would make much more sense, as he would fit in with United's style perfectly.

Well the good news hasnt lasted long as most sources claim that Queiroz is close to signing for Portugal. This is really bad news if it happens, Carlos adds alot to the tactical side and probably had a lot of input to our style of play.also we'll miss his scouting ability as he was vital in bringing in Ronaldo, Nani and Anderson. :(

But his work with youngsters is important at the club, and he has that tactical side that Sir Alex lacks.

Anyone else think a out and out left winger is needed ? Zhirkov played great for Russia but isnt he a left back ? and I cant see Evra being dropped cos he had a great season last year

Hrm, interesting summer to date. Quieroz and Ronnie would be massive losses for United, I can't see us being as strong if both were to jump ship.

Then again, Chelsea will have a new coach and a host of new players to try and squeeze in, lárse seem intent on selling all of their good players so maybe the league will be interesting. Who knows, Liverpool have now had a good season with their core of solid players, maybe they will finally compete.

Should be open next season. Personally, I want Berbatov or Huntelaar, and Ronaldo do pledge his undying love to the city of Manchester. Not gonna happen, but there you go. Don't think we need much else, especially if Foster can live up to his potential. Oh and it would be great to sign up Tevez, though if the price is too high, I'm not sure. Stupid agents.

He was playing Wing back for Russia due to the system they played, his natural and preffered position is left winger. Seems like we all might aswell admit it now, Ronnie's staying. meh talented nob but we'd would miss him if he did go;))

Well Nani will slowly be pushed as a starter next season with Giggs coming on later in games IMO, I think we could do 1 more season without a Winger but i can see Zhirkov and a CF coming. I really hope we can hang onto Quieroz and if we do bring on the treble! :DD

Huntelaar has come out claiming Utd are after him now...

Ajax striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar claims Manchester United are "very interested" in signing him.

The 24-year-old's failure to agree a new contract at the Amsterdam ArenA has led to speculation he could be in line for a move, and the Holland frontman reckons the English champions are keen to acquire his services.

"I know certain English clubs are following me, like Manchester United, who are very interested in me," he told Dutch reporters.

Huntelaar added: "I love clubs with great history like Ajax, I also love Manchester United.

"It's a club that makes me dream, especially as Ruud van Nistelrooy played there and did great things with them."

How much do you think Nani and Anderson will play this year? Any news on Manucho coming over yet? How about the Brazilian brothers and the guy that balances the ball on his head?
