Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Anyway..............

Top of the league lads! We haven't lost to Arsenal, Chelsea or Liverpoo this season either. We've scored the most goals & have the best defence. On top of all that, we have the most exciting player in the world at the moment in Mr.Ronaldo.

Times are exciting right now for United supporters! Aston Villa at home next!

:)

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Yes, he was an idiot. He should have kept his mouth off. But should it have been any other week, against any other team, nothing would have happened. Neither would have Torres gotten booked (which so many people have conveniently forgotten).
Mate ive not forgotten and im not sure why Torres was booked... maybe for simulation? its a foul yes but making a meal out of it and hugging the OT Turf.... I hate it when players go down easy,I was pissed at Ronaldo for going down easy when he could have easily beaten Aurelio and probably scored.... Some football players are a bunch of fuckin nancys!

It wasn't a dive. Torres had the ball, and 4 United players were on him, and fouled him. No foul was given, so Torres continued running with the ball, and was pushed down again. Foul was eventually given, and he asked the ref why he didn't give the foul the first time. Yellow.

Anyways, no point being bitter now. It's over. It's United's to lose, but you have a tougher run in than Chelsea.

We're the best team in England right now, we'll be ok. ;)

Where do you get these 4 players from ??he beat Ferdinand no tackle no foul, then he passed Scholes who had a little nibble at him , he went to ground and Ferdinand came in with a foul on him and the ref blew in your favour, where are the 4 men kicking lumps out of him, watch it more than once.

I watched it when it did happen. Ferdinand and Anderson (?) fouled him twice, but he kept up and running, and then Scholes joined in. Pretty sure there was another.

Anyways, if it was 3 or 4, how does it matter, they were all on him, twice fouled him, but he kept on running, and eventually was given a foul. Following which Torres was booked, which you obviously didn't mention. If you really think the ref wasn't biased, then there's no point arguing, because even some of my friends, who are United fans admitted that much.

Time to move on. There's no point arguing now.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

That's what winds Antred up, everybody has said masch was an idiot and a red card waiting to happen today. Yet your post only shows ignorance of that talking to him like he is saying it shouldnt be a red, ignoring the actual point he was making. Being that the ref was shite, but was also biased towards manu today/yesterday. And then, as a token gesture add that the ref was shite. He was pretty good for you lot today! I remember seeing 4 manu players surrounding him after anderson had made an equally bad challenge as masch and he got nothing, neither for the tackle or for the dissent. Torres gets kicked by 4 players and then finally gets a foul given, moans about the ref taking so f$%king long and gets booked for it.

wait so he doesnt call a clear penalty for manu yet he is biased towards manu...

How do you know what any of the players in any situation said? you dont.. i guess you ignored that in my post. yOu dont knwo what torres said, you dont know what the 4 man players said. Asking a question does not mean dissent, saying fuck off to the ref probably does. I dont know what happend in any of the situations, cause i dont remember hearing a mic on one of the players in my broadcast. however due to the technology of replay, rooney was clearley fouled in the box for a penalty and none was given. Tick for tack which many of the united supporters are saying. the mash card was warranted if he said things out of line, but are cards warranted for just speaking to the ref? Can you show me in the rule book where speaking to the ref is an automatic yellow? If the manu players said fuck off to the ref and if mash said or torres said the same thing, then they should all be treated consistently and that would be unfair if that did not happen. Unfortunately we dont know what was said, therfore this is all just speculation, the biased towards manu, the undeserved cards, etc... What we do know, is that it was 1-0 to united before the card and manu had 11 shots on target to liverpools 3. After that everything is speculation to what could have happend, had no cards been given. Do you agree or not agree a penalty should have been given?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Give up Gomito, it's like talking to a brick wall! Bitter Scousers will always be bitter scousers I'm afraid. When Antred is losing a debate he resorts to "We have won 5 European Cups" and "You're all plastic fans who don't even go to Old Trafford" when I can't even count 5 people in the Liverpool thread who have ever seen their team play at Anfield - they're too busy watching them play on dodgy internet streams!

Sorry when the fuck have i ever mentioned European Cups? You make this stuff up as you go along you ass.

Your one of the worst on here, you try to come over all objective, then sneak in sly digs when you feel like it. As far as im concerned the lot of you arnt worth shit. Your just the usual gloryhunting brigade that think because you've been to Old Trafford twice in your lives that you are some sort of supafan even though you all live miles away and should probably support your local team. In fact your probably the generation that has a 'few' teams that you follow and all that garbage.

And do you know what, others may support from afar and not get to the games from Arsenal, Liverpool etc on here, but they arnt arrogant, and they can be open to good debate and can be objectional - and that is worth more respect than any of you snide lot on here.

1. Why are you still crying in OUR thread then?

2. Does that apply to your fellow L'pool supporters like Peter Eyres who were born & still live in London too? I was born in Manchester and lived in Salford until I was 9. What was I supposed to do? "Oh sorry mum, I'll live on the streets, I can't come with you because I won't be able to see Man United regulary."

You're something else mate! EVERYTIME "title contenders" Liverpoo lose you always come on to Evo-Web blaming refs, other supporters and other players. It's NEVER your team's fault for being, quite simply, NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

Your right about the 4 manu players and not knowing what was said, however the point was that the foul was equally bad as masch's and not a card. Nor the scholes tackle, who should know better then to even attempt to tackle, which was also the first foul. I was surprised Masch was still on the pitch till that point as he was pushing it after his yellow card.

Im pretty sure manu didnt have 11 shots on target in the 1st half and I know that Liverpool didnt have 3! ;)

I think it was a penalty yes. Im not saying otherwise, although there are enough that think it was a fair challenge. Had rooney gone down it would have been a penalty, another crap reffing decision.

However, being objective it was plain that the ref was biased, it even managed to shine through his overall crapness. The amount of fouls and decisions that were harsher for Liverpool and lenient for manu was plain to see. Even manu supporters have said it, although not on this forum.

And Mike, why am I being labled in with the bitter scousers?! For debating the ref's quality? Have you read the different articles about Bennett, Hackett and Fergie? Do you not think that there is something odd about it all?

Pointless discussion though.............

funny that, as I could hear the Torres song and Fields of Anfield Road drowning out the sounds of camera flashes at 3-0.

mate im glad we can have this discussion without getting personal. Its refreshing. I heard the announcers say that about the shots on goal. And if you look at the stats united had 23(16 on goal) for the game. So maybe it w as true :) Well to be honest i would have to watch the game again, I dont want to say that your wrong, cause i just honestly dont remember much about the ref other then the two obvious decisions or non decsions being the red and the pen non call. However looking at the match stats, there 11 fouls call on united and 12 on pool. United was offsides 4 times while pool was offsides zero times. United received one yellow and pool, 3. The first mash yellow card in my opinon WAS HARSH. So in that instance that call, maybe there is something to that decisions, but im not so sure it was because bennet is biased... or because he just is an inconsistent ref(which imo is worse sometimes). I dont know mate. All im gonna say in the end, and i will say it again and again, i hate red cards(when one team is down), they always seem to ruin any game where they come into play. Do i want them to go away? No, but i woujld like them only to be used when there is malice and intent in a bad tackle or elbow, or last man. Mash had neither on the first challenge and he actually put his feet down to make sure there wasnt confusion about his intent, Again it was a shit yellow, clearley a foul, but no need for the yellow. Good luck to pool in the CL and hopefully there wont be more controversy's and the players can decide the outcomes themselves.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Glad you noticed that about masch, I thought the same thing. He seemed to make an effort to put his feet on the ground.

Im surprised about the stats though, as I cant remember many shots, besides the goal I think manu had 3, Liverpool didnt have any on target. Nevermind, not important.

I dont mind losing to the better team, its just these types of "performances" by refs have been going on for the whole season, both postive for pool and negative as well as other teams, and it really does take away the itegrity of matches and the league imo.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

plan m a little early to denote your team as Champions?? tough matches ahead ... hold on tight guys this is will go till the end!!

What the hell are you on about? It has said "CHAMPIONS" above my avatar for most of the season because WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS! :))

I am NOT saying we're gonna win it this season though - I think Chelsea and Arsenal will push us until the very last kick of the ball. :)

Tik - I wasn't directing the "bitter" label at you mate.

We're still champions from last season until someone takes the title off us. I dont think it means we've won the title this season as well.

ok Plan M, we've had this discussion before. Had you been in my place, living in another land, and me in your fucking place, then we'd talk you tw@t. Dont you have a brain for fooks sake? EVERY FAN CANNOT TURN UP TO THE STADIUM BECAUSE OF GEOGRAPHICAL & OTHER CONSTRAINTS. so if you have to, blame and talk trash to the one who's talking it to you, and dont fucking generalize. It doesnt mean that if i go to a stadium, i'm a fan. And if i dont, i'm not. Abhishek and Delta619 will be well aware that what kind of 'fanbase' you have in India. HAH! CANT NAME A FUCKING STARTING 11 OF THEIR 'TEAM'......fans....

Which is exactly my point to Antred; he said "None of you actually live in Manchester, you're all plastics blah blah blah..." and "None of you have ever been to Old Trafford" and "You don't come from Manchester therefore you should support your local team and NOT United." I just pointed out a few home truths to him.

You're attacking me when I ACTUALLY agree with what you are saying!

Also, no need to get personal - calling me a "tw@t" is not very nice. I think we all need to calm down, have a nice cup of tea and move on.

i have said earlier also (before you got banned i beleive?) that it isnt personal. dont go around with this 'stadium' shit of yours. and if antred said something, tell it back to him. DONT generalize. i'll say it once more, everyone is'nt lucky like you to be at manchester or a merseyside.....

sorry about the tw@t thing. but you are talking a lot of non - sense. admit it.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread .

Lak, I haven't said anything that is nonsense my friend. Every is entitled to their own opinion and I have mine.

My point is simple:

Antred was calling ALL of the United supporters "plastics" and saying that United supporters don't go to watch their team play. I responded with the fact that he should look at HIS OWN team's supporters when most of them I know live in London, India and Cardiff!

Thanks for the apology.

:)

now where did opinion come into this???? no one said anything about your opinion, plan. a forum is about opinions.

BUT, second or probably 3rd time you're saying this thing. even earlier, before antred and our game last night, you said this. i remember telling you this even then. and at that time, when you said it, there wasn't an antred in the discussion. it was you who had solely started it. i am not defending antred or anyone.it's you both who were on about this. so go on. just dont generalize is all i said.

and jumberto, my friend, if you had read plan's posts a few months ago about the same issue when no one said anything about plastic fans, and he began about going to the stadium thing, you wouldnt be telling me to read it again.
