Manchester United Thread

i told you guys the glazers know what there doing

ive gotta admit I got caught up in the hype and negativity surrounding the takeover...

but the club was ran very well before they took over, its not as though we were falling behind the rest...

anyway hats off to them, they've backed SAF and the team is looking good as a result....

Thats a little bit over the top but typical marketing style of Nike. How can a human be as fast as a car which can go from 0m-100m in approximately 4 seconds?? That boy Ronaldo...we know he is fast but not THAT fast!!...Cool ad nonetheless.

Great to hear news about our interest in Huntelaar again. Is he cup tied for anything? If I'm not wrong Ajax did play in CL qualifiers right?

Best bit about our tranfer policy and the Glazers from gomito..."'There is a new structure in place now and decisions can be made pretty quickly. I was on the telephone in Portugal to Joel Glazer over Nani and Anderson. He said just do it."

Replace "Nani and Anderson" with "Klaas Jan Hunterlaar" and we're good to go!

Dominating, creating chances and awful finishing as usual. Frustrating. Rob Styles is clearly anti Ronaldo, it's actually amusing me now. Penalty on Giggs clear as day, not given. Then again, Owen was onsid,e so at least the officials are making up for their crapness by sharing it around.

Still United need a finisher on days like this. Chances are there.

you telling me one shot here or there wouldn't have swayed all 3 of those successes? Whereas the league is about consistency and how good your players are through a year, not in a one off.

Love seeing this as a argument to state that one if better then the other. Both are really impressive achievements in my opinion. You guys won the league by being the best at beating the prem mediocraty for a season (the big game league had you at 3rd I think, with arse top). Liverpool beat the Dutch, Spanish and English league champions to get to the final in 07. Also a very good achievement, the one is based on being the best against a majority of poor teams over a lot of games, the other is being the best against the best teams in a short run of two games for each round. Both have their merits.

I posted a list of players Rafa had signed and sold and with mo's sale he was going to break even. With Carson's likely sale in the summer to Villa it would put him +9mil or so for the players bought and then sold. Not a bad return. What was left was 70/80mil spent on a good spine (Torres, Alonso, Agger, Reina) with quite a few decent players alongside them and quite a few players with potential (babel and lucas for example). The decent players arent good enough for a champions 1st team but have been better then the players replaced. Looking at it from that perspective when nearly the whole team has been replaced, and it was needed, doesnt make him a poor transfer manager.

All I can say is

:applause::applause::applause::applause:

any other team in the league, missing all those chances in the first half, would start to crack under the pressure, but you lot were patient and put six in.

Envy is the word.

Any idea why he does it? Someone did it last season in a different league but I can't think who.

Its while his daughter is away in argentina.....

great performance tonight, top class football....

bit sloppy in first half but what a way to go top of the league....

both arsenal and lfc put 6 past teams earlier in the season...

but clicking into this sort of form now, is just what we need...

funnily, the first post of this thread was after we banged 6 past newcastle...

10the Prem coming home!!!
