Couldn't agree more...see it exactly the same way.

Just commenting on this really. You disagree with me that we didn't need a striker, but Phrase says the final piece in the puzzle is Hargreaves. and you agree with him exactly. That suggests that you believe our squad is complete.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Agent links Berbatov to United!

Let me make it clear and bold.I BELIEVE WE NEED A STRIKER.I've came out earlier and pointed out that the only natural strikers we got is Saha and Solskjaer.

Seems that we are really pushing for Berbatov. He would add another dimension to our squad really. The bid makes sense as we do have money now after offloading Richardson,Smith and Heinze. All for pretty good sum of money too.If we make the offer too good to refuse for the Spurs Board...I certainly believe we have found ourselves a new striker.

How many times do I need to spell out to you what my opinion is?

Could I have been more unequivocal at any point?

I think I have made my own opinion on this matter abundantly clear don’t you!

.

I agreed this is why they were brought in, I agreed this is what I thought the Man Utd/managerial thinking was.

Hargreaves was brought in as the final puzzle in the jigsaw,a mobile, harrassing midfielder.Tevez as a foil and cover for Rooney.
.

Again I agree that Hargreaves was brought in as the final piece in the jigsaw, and I agree that Tevez was brought in as a foil and cover for Rooney.

I agree that is what Man Utd’s/Ferguson’s thinking was.

Does that mean I thought that this was correct; does this mean that I thought that you had enough cover up front?

NO!!!

I never said that did I?

I just agreed that what was stated was the thinking that Ferguson had/Man Utd had, in my opinion in making the judgments they had.

Where is the contradiction to my position that you required and still require a striker?

Answer- there isn’t any contradiction!

You didn’t correctly read what was written, something I believe you previously accused me of. That isn’t a big deal, but what is annoying is;

The very idea of trying to prove that someone doesn’t hold their own opinion.

It is beyond ridiculous and is utterly moronic but you were trying to do just that or you were trying to make me look a prat by shoving my words up my arse and somehow call them into question. The only logic for which would be because you don’t agree with my opinion. If the latter was your game you got is spectacularly wrong.

Both of the above are equally irksome….

I haven’t contradicted myself because oddly enough I know what my own bloody opinion is. So please stop pissing around with such piss poor semantics in some endless death jig in the attempt to make black white, day night and alter my opinion or call it into question in some way.

I have my opinion it is stated, it doesn’t change because you don’t like it now stop this crap and move on.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Agent links Berbatov to United!

My opinion hasn't changed either. We didn't need a striker and if you look at most of the posts before Rooney got injured and Ronaldo got banned, a lot of other people thought the same. At the moment we DO need one because of injuries but once all our players are playing again, we have plenty of options. OK. move on.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Agent links Berbatov to United!

yeah us and every other major european club...

siddy are trying to tie him down to another new deal cos they know, like SWP he will wanna leave for a club that actually attempts to win silverware every season...

personally would love to see him sign for us next year, take over from Neville at right back for a couple of years then suceed Rio at CB....

Dream on Vann did you must have missed this post!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Agent links Berbatov to United!

How about trying to get Adriano on loan? He refused a loan to Parma...
I'd love that but Inter only want to loan him out for one season to regain his fitness. I'd want to keep him at the end of the loan if he did well.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Agent links Berbatov to United!

i think Adriano on loan would be pointless he's a poor mans version of fat Ronaldo and he isnt anything special eiher knowadays

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Agent links Berbatov to United!

Adriano on loan is a good option but I dont think he wants to play in England.Inter wants to loan him out in the Serie A to regain his full fitness, real ability and match confidence.I watched 'The Manager's Press Conference' on MUTV and Sir Alex is nothing short of confidence in his team.He said we will beat Spurs today and I am with him all the way.The squad is strong with only Rooney,Park,Solskjaer and Ronaldo missing from the first team to face Spurs.Saha and Anderson makes the bench with the same first eleven from the Citeh match certain to start.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Agent links Berbatov to United!

Sir Alex said that Rooney is already jogging and could be back within 3 weeks.'Mickey' Rooney even cheekily asked the gaffer if he could play against Spurs today.Right on...C'mon United.

3 weeks from now league season could be done....Saha needs to return if we dont get a striker. Anlks loked awesome again scoring & an assist

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Agent links Berbatov to United!

Yeah, I think he convinced me yesterday. Makes you wonder why he hasnt been playing for a bigger club recently.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Agent links Berbatov to United!

Man utd have had there worts start for 12 years or wot ever it was.

Thats cause they don't use Nani and Anderson enough.

:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Agent links Berbatov to United!

In August you don`t win the league you lose it! Beat the spurs!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Agent links Berbatov to United!

Almost let it slip again....you desperately need Saha back.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Agent links Berbatov to United!

I agree. We lack a focal point in attack and even with quality we possess it still shows.
We do need another striker though considering Saha's injury record and Ole being quite a bit past it so which leaves us with Rooney and Tevez who as good as they are will not fill that void left by Saha.

agree totally.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Agent links Berbatov to United!

Funny how we got our best result so far with a mediocre performance. We looked great in the buildups to attack but still lack the cutting edge.In this match we can clearly see we need someone strong enough to hold the ball up in the opponents penalty box.Tevez tried hard but he is not the man for the job.He looked good, cutting from the flanks though but still lack that match sharpness.

Does anyone feels that Nani is more comfortable and confident than Ronaldo was when he first played for us? I certainly think so.Nani is more direct than Ronaldo was and he can only get better. With tremendous shot like he has,it is only right for him to have a go from that position.Cracking goal.

Still puzzled to why Anderson and Saha is still missing from the first team after all that hype before the match about their returns.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Agent links Berbatov to United!

I don't think it was a mediocre performance really. Spurs are a very good side and they'll give most teams problems. They made it very difficult by closing us down so quickly; especially Scholes.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Agent links Berbatov to United!

Spurs were very unlucky not to score at times, Berbatov was a whisker away from an early contender for goal of the season in the second half, but a good result for United nonetheless. Ferguson is no fool, and for the time being has to field what he feels is his strongest side to get results, and let's not forget Untited haven't exactly played badly either, they just haven't been as clinical in front of goal as they should be/need to be.

If anything the worse thing about the game was Chris Eagles haircut. ;)

Once Rooney, Ronaldo and Saha come back from injury we'll begin to see a more stable and consistant United, however for all their attacking flair at the moment United really do lack real presence up front. Don't get me wrong on his day Louis Saha is as good as any striker in the premiership, but United don't have adequate cover in that department to protect him. Solskjaer is on his last legs, Dong's going out on loan apparently and Frazier Campbell for all his talent is quite inexperienced so Ferguson is unlikely to feature him on a regular basis.

But you know, it's early days...

Anderson broke his leg last season so he's not gonna be rushed into the team. But I alteast expected Saha to make the bench though.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Agent links Berbatov to United!

Ole has retired.

Thanks for the memories.

Time for a striker imo.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Agent links Berbatov to United!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Agent links Berbatov to United!

A sad day,but an inevitable one, surely now with Ole retiring,it's time we bring in another striker?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread - Agent links Berbatov to United!

A true legend. Really surprised it happened this way. I was hoping he would have had his last game at OT so we could give him a proper farewell.
