I'm another in the tonking camp.
It's horrilble to feel this way considering we're the champions, but our midfield is gonna get overrun and if we play 4-5-1 we'll not score either.
I'm 100% behind your formation here, mate. This just might be the best way to go on sunday. As for the midfield issue, we can always play Giggs where you have Anderson listed and then have Nani on the left wing. Or maybe even go with what you have but bring Nani on later for Anderson while Giggs drops back into midfield, instead of having to bring Anderson on later.Kind of expecting to see:
-------------VDS
O'Shea--Brown--Vidic/Evans--Evra
--Carrick--Fletcher--Anderson
Valencia------------------Giggs
-----------Rooney
The only problem with that lineup is if our midfield get tired we won't be able to bring Ando on...
Its early in the season, its Stamford Bridge, Chelsea are on fire, and we havent reached our peak yet. I'd take a draw with a huge grin on my face.if we play 4-5-1 we'll not score either.
The problem with this line-up is that it'll automatically switch back to a 4-4-2 with Fletcher on the right, Carrick/Anderson in the middle, Giggs to the left. Reason being Rooney won't stay right as he'll want to move into the middle. So I reckon we'll probably line-up like this.
------------VDS-------------
-O'Shea--Evans--Vidic--Evra--
------Fletcher-Carrick-----
----------Anderson--------
Rooney----Berbatov----Giggs-
