Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Well fuck me

Im a bit gutted, you cant replace whats already the best in the world no matter what the money is, it can be £80M or £80B you cant buy better than this player.

Lets all put trust into Mr Ferguson after all he knows best

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Not signed yet. It does look like it might happen though.

80 million - 25 for Tevez. We still have enough left for Ribery and maybe a couple others.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Anyone that you try to sign now, those clubs will know you've got a massive amount to spend. You'll probably get ripped off big-time now for any signings.

Glad to see him out of the league though, easily the most hated player in football for me :D

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

This is it, I think I'm about to jump off my roof.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

If / when it's offically completed, I'd be sad to see him go, but at the same time I'd thank him for what he achieved with us. I think he's in for a shock at Madrid though...

I guess Valencia is almost a given now. I'm not 100% we'll keep Tevez yet, though I'm sure we'll find out soon now he's finished International duty.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Yeah I agree with that. We got almost double the previous world record fee so we can't complain.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

That one got a bit silly in the middle. They get less funny each time someone tries to copy that really good one that was out ages ago.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I can't believe how ungrateful some of the United fans are. Maybe we wouldn't have won last year's Premier League and Champions League if it weren't for him.

If I could say one thing to Ronaldo, then it'd be "Thank you for all you've done".

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

But he actually said that he's staying and then left. After last season, if he had said that he still wishes to leave, today wouldnt have come as such a surprise. He had us believing in him again.

Well either he genuinely meant it and has only changed his mind since they actually bid for him, or more likely that agreement that one of the Real directors spoke of ages ago was actually the truth so Ronaldo knew full well he was leaving so turned on the performances for the final couple of months of the season.... and Fergie has been lying about it all along.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

It will be interesting to see how he does in Spain.

In the eyes of most ignorant English football fans, any less than 50 goals in a "defensively weaker" league will be a disaster.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

That's what I fear the most. Now that every club knows United has £80 million to spend they will surely higher the prices of the players SAF is interested in.

Clubs can give up on signing Ribery at a reasonable price. It might even get harder now to sign Valencia. We can all thank Perez for causing inflation in the world's transfer market.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

:SHOCK::CRY:

Can't believe it really? If it happenened last summer fair enough but with the constant "Im gonna stay" recently I couldnt for the life of me see him go? He actually put in a Transfer Request people so he has asked to move. Overall he's I have to say thanks Ronnie, he's a great player but as United do we'll move on.

Muppet Time:

So 80M...I've got the feeling SAF has got someone lined up to have accepted it, I think we'll get Ribery, bring in Benzema.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

How much did you have to spend this summer before the Ronaldo deal?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Well fucking hell he's finally gone.

I'm completely neutral about it to be honest, one side of me is glad to see the back of him after his attitude from last summer to now, and the other side is absolutely fucking gutted because he's that damn good.

I just want us to spend it all this summer now, make sure we buy big names.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

When I first read about this just now,I cannot help myself but repeat "80 Million Pounds" for like 145673 times.Freaking 80 Million Pounds for Cristiano Ronaldo...

I still cannot snap out of it.The money is explicitly ridiculous.I would have taken the players plus cash offer from Madrid if its really on the table but this is something else.

We now have the cash and we will definitely see someone else in our famous number 7 shirt. Please dont give it to Nani or Valencia...we need someone bigger,a superstar...it has to be Franck Ribery or Karim Benzema please.

Now I have to explain to my 6 year old nephew who is a super fan of Cristiano. He might not understand this.He grew up loving football and adoring Ronaldo in our shirt. It will be difficult for him.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

My gf's 6yr old nephew is obsessed with him too, I cant wait to break the news and tell him to get a Rooney shirt :D

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Ronaldo had a team built around him, a coach that guided him to sucess. In Madrid, he won't have that, and as soon as he slips up, the press and fans will be all over him, after all, he cost a gazillion euros.

This will be good for United, you need to be a true team again, instead of looking for Ronaldo to make miracles.
