Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Most sources quote around £17m but it was a structured deal heavily based on payments for performances/goals/trophies etc so not sure exactly how much we've actually paid. Same sort of deals we've got on Anderson, Tosic and Ljajic.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

In other words you spent 15 million to buy a guy that played at maximum 3 games this season.
This is how football is going to look for the next 20/30 years if something doesn't happen. Teams just spend huge amounts of money in players they don't even use instead of leaving them in their clubs, oh well..
Hope you can give him a brighter future not a "saviolas" career.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I can't believe these rumours of Van Nistlerooj to Spurs. If he goes to Spurs for cheap I'm going to personally seek out SAF and punch him in the face (okay not really, but still). So we're a bit goal shy, lack a poacher, and could use someone who can't play every match. Oh the fans love him, he's said publically he's over hte Ronaldo thing, he would deal with Manchester and he's already a legend. Hell it's like getting Ole back for a season or two.

If it's under £5m, who would you rather coming on in the 70th minute when we need a goal? Macheda? Tevez? Welbeck? Owen? Or Ruud?

Man is a goal machine.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Yeah, he might be over the Ronaldo thing, but he's not over the Fergie thing.

The only reason he left is cause his relationship with the boss broke down, like Becks.

That said, I would go fucking mental if we got Ruud back, I love the bloke.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Loved Ruud but he asked to leave 3 times, in the end he got his wish and didn't have the right attitude when Saha took his spot.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

So whats this huge rumour about Real offering us Sneijder + Huntelaar + 30mill for Cristiano Ronaldo?

I am sure if that deal is on the table, the whole effing board along with Sir Alex should seriously consider it.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

@ Phrase - I'd go for that, assuming its £30m. But I don't Ronaldo would go for anything less than world record, wouldn't fit his ego.

So I say £60m along with the Hunter and Sneijder. It's not like Real need either of them!

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

It's bollocks. It's just the papers telling lies again. Don't believe anything until you see them wearing the shirt.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Not worried in the slightest, Honestly. Just paper talk IMO Ronaldo won't be leaving United unless Real can offer probably 85M, That offer Phrase has quoted is pretty shit. I think we'll only sell once SAF see's a player that he can replace him with. Moving on...

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Real cant touch this shit

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

It depresses me seeing Rooney scoring for England all the time.
I think it's good, just shows he can do it. He goes through patches with us where he can't stop scoring, Fergie just needs to recognise it and make sure he gets the most out of Wayne cos he's fucking awesome.

This is what he said in his defence

"Have you seen what people in LA wear? I was the most normal dressed person over there. Anyway, what's wrong with wearing tight pants? They look good and it's better than having tan lines down your legs. This year it was the pink hat with the flower. I don't see what is wrong with it. I can see why, if you weren't comfortable with your sexuality, you might not wear it. But I'm very comfortable so it's not a problem for me. Men wear pink these days. OK, not many men wear flowers, but it's good to be different"

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

He listens to Ricky Martin FFS. How awesome can you get?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Lol at the "Dido" video...

The guy in the video's [nick]name is actually "Dodô", and he's a striker. He scored plenty of wonderful goals last two seasons but he's not near top class, and is 35yo. You all got pranked there :P

The rumour is about the 17yo center back Dodô from Corinthians, who I never have heard about tbh.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

He's a poof...Anyway he'll be off...Superstar team switching summer it seems; Eto, Kaka, Ibra, Tevez, Trezeguet, Ronaldo.....Djeesj

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

There's a story on The Guardian website suggesting Sporting are trying to negotiate a deal to take Nani back on loan involving us getting Joao Moutinho! I'd take that in a second, and it would add weight to the rumours about Antonio Valencia. It's probably come from the tiniest bit of truth and been exaggerated though. I mean I'd trust The Guardian not to make up sensationalist bollocks more than most other papers but it's still probably not completely true.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

So Real are offering 90 mil for Ronaldo it seems.....

Jorge Valdano, ds delle merengues: "Non posso rispondere per lui, parlo solo dei giocatori che sono qui con noi, non di quelli che stiamo trattando".

Roughly translated; I can't answer for Ronaldo, I can only speak for Real players and not for the players we are negotiating for...

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Jep, medical is being completed in Beverly Hills as we are speaking..

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

On a side note; I FUCKING HATE REAL, FUCKING GENERIC ALL STAR TEAM

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Now all they need are Ribery and Ibra...I fucking hate that team...

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Having an all star team does not ensure automatic success. It will be interesting to see how they do in la Liga next year. Surely if they end up winning nothing it would be an absolute disaster for them, having spent that much money. Though I'm sure they would get a lot of money anyway with the sell of shirts.

I'm very sad Ronaldo is leaving, but at least now all this chaos is over. And £80 million is an incredible amount (football has definitely gone crazy). Maybe finally United can build up as a team, where there is no ego problem. We will miss his goals, but if Rooney can finally play in his proper position, just like he does in England, then I'm not too worried. It depressed me seeing him on the left wing during the end of this season. I'm sure we could have grabbed a goal against Barca had he played as a striker.

I hope we will now buy Tevez. I know a lot of people are fond of Benzema, but I don't find him that impressive, and I'm French. We definitely need one winger now. Valencia's fine with me, no need to get one big name especially with the inflation in the transfer market that is going on.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Can they seriously afford these transfer fees?

More importantly, who do we bring in? The rumour mill is going to be on fire these next few days...

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Ribery & Valencia are the obvious ones from whats been quoted in the press previously.
