Manchester United Thread

You should see how he celebrates in the league.... no respect at all for opponents or fans. He's a prick. Funny thing is, he's such a typical Inter player. He's got so much raw talent but I think he needs a proper mentor, and Zlatan is a very poor example of one.
Yeah, I saw the way he celebrated against Roma after diving to win a penalty. Totti had a go at him as well:

"If at 18 I would have had the same approach as Balotelli, my team-mates would have kicked me in the back, my coach at the time would have slapped me in the face and the rest I would have received from my parents back home.”

Bloody hell! The day before the biggest game of the season and its empty in here.

I hope we can cap of a class week by totally ending any hope for Pool. :))

fingers crossed their crap record at old trafford continues. if they play like they did midweek it'll be tough for us though.

I'd take a draw to be honest. Not sure our midfield can cope with theirs. I can some tempers so maybe better if Scholes doesn't play.

Rooney will get booked or sent off, as Marukomu said it may be better if Scholes doesn't play too. Anderson and Carrick in the middle for me, not sure Park suits this fixture although he has been playing well. Not sure if Tevez is gonna start, hope he does though. I'm so excited. HUGE game.

The thibg I like about Park is he draws fouls so much we will get a lot of free kicks and maybe even a few yellows for their midfield. I would play Carrick with Park and Anderson in front of them.
Something like this.

----------- Van der Sar -------------
O'Shea ---- Rio ---- Vidic ----- Evra
------------ Carrick ----------------
Park --- Anderson / Giggs --- Ronaldo
------------------ Rooney -----------
-----------Berbatov -----------------

Yeah that could quite possibly be the team mate, looks realistic. Only thing is, Giggs played the full 90 on Wednesday so I can't see Fergie starting him again which is why I picked Anderson. Shame though as he's probably our form player at the moment along with Rooney.

Anderson had Gerrard in his pocket at Anfield last season and I think Liverpool sent a look-a-like for the match at Old Trafford but he is another who's in form at the moment so maybe he could shock us and TURN UP AT OLD TRAFFORD!

On a side, I've had three dreams in the last few days involving Vidic getting sent off so hopefully that won't happen again!

I will not be surprised if we start with a 4-3-3 with Ando,Carrick and Fletcher in the middle.

Berba,Rooney and Ronaldo will be the triple threat upfront.I think this will nullify Pool's approach.

Benitez has never assembled a team to win anything at Old Trafford so,it is highly and different tonight..

2 nil to United...C'MONNN!!!

Good game so far - can't believe Vidic's mistake, saw that coming a mile away. Liverpool are soooo lucky they bought Torres, he's the only player in the world that could enable them to win matches against top teams. They can effectively defend with 8 outfield players, and just hoof balls over the top.

Think a draw from first half would reflect it, but hey, we need to turn it around.

A bit unlucky with the way the two goals were conceeded (I know it does sound ridiculous doesn't it? But everyone a bad bounce...) and now without Vida for a few matches.

I think it's exactly the kind of kick in the ass we needed. You could tell from mid-week we were getting complacent, hopefully this will focus us to getting back to what we do best - winning the premier league.

Credit to Liverpool - their game plan worked a charm.

Unbelieveably poor.

Vidic was awful, Carrick was worse (again), Torres was fantastic, and that was that.

We could've seen it coming though I suppose, the defence hasn't been right since conceding that first goal, and I fucking called that one.

Vidic is the best but a few lethal mistakes in one game against a team that took advantage of each one of them... Not his day at all.

Glad its over and done with, As I think your right we showed complacency against Inter and im sure the players will feel hurt after this. Fulham away next which will be a tough game.

Could work in our favour. Teams might open up a bit more if they think we're beatable now.
A Dalglish once said "I don't care if Man Utd beat us 10-0 home and away as long as we win the league".
Small comfort but it's still ours to lose.

carrick played fine, the team as a whole played like shit and deserved to lose.

Could you have your head any further up his arse!?

His passing was absolutely abysmal today, he was caught in possession loads and I thought he couldn't have a worse game than against Inter but he proved it.

I'm one of his biggest fans, full of admiration for the guy, he's probably the biggest factor in why we won the title in 06/07 and he was fantastic last year.

This year he's been good, but the last couple of weeks hes been off with his passing, and we usually play a lot worse when that happens. Seems to me it happens in the big pressure cooker games. It went off against Milan in the San Siro in 06/07, and it's happened twice on the bounce in massive matches.

But I do agree with the last bit, we were awful and deserved to lose, you're right.

sorry man but you need to get your head out of your own ass, he missed one or two cross field passes the entire game. played as well as any other one of our players and doesnt deserve to be singled out. he played fine against inter as well.

I think overall the scoreline was a little harsh. Nowhere near as convincing as against Madrid, but we had a gameplan, and it was perfect.

Weird match in the sense, that two of our best players (Vidic for you guys, Reina for us) this season, had such shockers.

And, I'll say it again, Ronaldo is a lazy twat. You need passion for these type of games, and he didn't show any of it.
