But we're not defending Ronaldo, no one does. Not even his own fans do.
But everyone wants to defend Gerrard even though he makes it more obvious than any other player I know when he's hitting the floor. And not only that, I'm sure his decisions have decided more games than other divers have.

More like ABFR

(Anyone But Fucking Ronaldo)

I think people would still hate him, even if he didn't dive. He's just that good, and people (particular brits) love to tear down anyone who gets above their 'place'.

That was a very rare sign of retaliation from him, I was pretty shocked. Given that he's kicked more than any other player on Earth (and often just for the sake of kicking him, which opposing fans love) I've been impressed that he's kept his compsure over the past 2 seasons.

I just wonder if he stopped diving, would you start liking him?

I'm hoping Anderson has a stormer tomorrow. Hopefully he and Carrick can run the midfield and get a result.

Was anyone at OT when we did them 2-1 last season? Anderson stood in front of the keeper (behind the wall) waving his arms and pulling faces at Almunia. Several seconds later, Hargreaves' free kick sails into the net.
Legend :)

Is Anderson the best player in the premiership to have never scored...?

man the real mancester united did not come to play today!! Saving grace was Park, Anderson and the newbie da Silva is it? He should have started over Neville!! Tevez should have started over Berba.... my dog is more silkier than him!!
Is there some kind of bet going on between Cro & Rooney???

Eh? Some of your lots response's  We played great apart from simply not taking our chances, Berba played well, Rooney missed 1 or 2 good chances, Same for Ronaldo. I think the problem for me is defensively were not doing so well.

Overall a great game for a neutral and Arsenal took their chances we didnt.

Didnt watch the game because I had to work darn it.Anyways,I felt better after reading this.Got it off Teamtalk's Your Say section.

I'd like to say that first, Man Utd played very well. It's almost an unfortunte irony for them that it was precisely because they were by far the best side we played this season that they lost. They actually attacked, played a good game, and simply, we were more clinical. But only just. United had some great chances in the first half, probably the better of the chances, but it was an even game all in all. The second half was ours, we improved and were better. Alex Ferguson has a habit of being a bad loser, but today he was quite magnaminous, which was nice to see. A great game, and had United deployed spoiling tactics and a defensive mentality, they may have got a point. But they went for it, and played well, and can consider themselves unlucky. There were two clear penalties for both teams, but we did deserve to win as we played exceptionally well overall against a team with better players on the day. Missing Rosicky, Van Persie, Adebayor and Tour¿as problematic, and you could tell that we missed a little something in the final third that luckily Nasri made up for as Bendtner wasn't great. So anyway, well done to Arsenal, well done to Man Utd, and shame on those who criticised us. Lack of fight? Lack of balls? Whatever.

Gutted at the result but gotta take it on the chin sometimes.

This right-back Rafael looks pretty damn good. Seen him hold off an Arsenal player with ease, and he's only a kid! Good technique, good strength, looks a cracking player!

Fair win for l'arse they took their chances and we didn't. Questiosn for me:

1. Rooney is back to sh*t finishing. What happened?
2. Park is realyl quite good. But where was Nani?
3. If Clichy's isn't a handball, then how was Carrick's against Chelsea last year?
4. At some point Berbatov needs to score for us, or else he's a wonderful to watch luxury.
5. Arsenal needed this, and I hope it fuels them into keeping up with the big 3.

yeah Rafael is a good find.... his challenge near the end was good... well timed... he is fast, strong and good passer too!! Should have started!! tough luck on not getting the penalty though he was removing his hand but had enough time definite penalty!!

I think mufc played solid but maybe a bit of a surprise to see how well we handle ourselves( I was surprised ) like SAF says that`s how football is played

Very good game what I saw (2nd half).

Great goal by that wee dude from Heroes that can play about with machines and stuff. He looked excellent today after I thought he was poor against Celtic where Shaun Maloney gave him a tough time of it.

What concerning me is how static our formation and play is becoming since Queiroz left. Last season you would see Ronaldo, Rooney and Tevez constantly interchanging positions and giving the opposition alot to think about. Maybe im nitpicking but watching Ronaldo for the past two games stuck on the right when he could be alot more dangerous with a free role as last season showed.
Fair play to Arsenal though and for some reason i just dont feel that hurt losing to them than Chelsea or that red crap from Mersyside.

Apparantly his twin is even better :BOP:

1. Rooney's goals come in sections, he's not consistent, he'll go 10 games with 15 goals and then 6-7 without one
2. Agreed, Giggs was a useless sub to make
3. Ref's are so inconsistent these days its not even funny
4. Well...So far he's scored 5 goals and got 6 assists? remember this is a player who didnt have a pre season with us and will probably improve with us, also he's one of the reasons were creating shitloads of chances
5. Arsenal are always good against top sides, Its when teams like Stoke give them a ruff ride they cant cope
:))

Yeah, I know some people who got a chance to see both play and Rafael is the better of the two.
