Why do they mention ex-coronation street star Liz Dawn's pub in the report? What has that got to do with it?
Several of the players are also believed to have visited a newsagent and purchased various items of confectionary prior to the attack.

Stories are popping up again about us signing Didi Berbatov in exchange with Brown and Saha.I'm not too sure if the want the crocked frenchman though.Stories of Brown leaving us for Newcastle has surfaced too. That would really be a good move for him but I cannot see him going anyway to be honest.Reports are saying that we are raiding Bayern for Lahm or Sagnol but it seems we are more interested in the young German ace whom can play on both flanks.Nothing short of interesting.

All media speculation mate. Fergie has already said in an interview I watched that he doesn't want to add to the squad in January because it usually unsettles their flow. Also, he feels we have enough in the current squad to challenge for all trophies. I agree with him.

You must have forgotten that the Premier League is the richest league and MU one of the richest team in the world. In comparison, French teams are composed of a majority of French players. So comparing your today's result with Marseille (a team you didn't even played against this year) ? Oh boy... Pathetic. :applause:
ha :) had to laugh at this. Why do people always try and cause an argument by calling me pathetic for having an opinion on how CRAP a team played?

Man United sign striker Manucho
Manchester United have agree to sign 24-year-old Angolan forward Manucho.
The striker, who has been on trial at the club, will join from Angolan side Petro Athletico on a three-year deal.

"We have had Manucho here for a three-week trial and have been impressed enough to offer him a contract," said boss Sir Alex Ferguson.

"He is a tall, agile, quick forward and through contacts that Carlos (Queiroz) has, was brought to our attention around six months ago."

Manucho, whose real name is Mateus Alberto Contreiras Goncalves, arrives at Old Trafford in January subject to a work permit.

He joins Carlos Tevez, Wayne Rooney, Loius Saha and Dong Fangzhou in United's striking department.

Not sure if he was in the Angolan team at WC2006 but he's been top scorer in the Angolan league for last 2 seasons. That's all I know.

United has reached agreement with Petro Athletico of Luanda to sign Mateus Alberto Contreiras Goncalves – "Manucho."

The 24-year-old Angolan international striker, who has scored twice in 10 appearances for his country, has agreed personal terms and will join the Club in January on a 3-year agreement. An application for a work permit will be made in due course.

He was top goalscorer in the last two seasons of the GiraBola, finishing with 16 goals for Petro Luanda in 2006 and 15goals this year. Manucho will be part of the Angolan squad for the African Nations Cup in January.

Sir Alex Ferguson is delighted by the new arrival, saying: “We have had Manucho here for a 3-week trial and have been impressed enough to offer him a 3-year contract.

"He is a tall, agile and quick forward and through contacts that Carlos [Queiroz] has was brought to our attention around six months ago.”

I managed to get two tickets for the game on Sunday sitting in the East Stand. I always look forward to the Everton games. :)

I think Manucho Goncalves must be pretty impressive to be handed a straight 3 year deal.He is 24 and cannot be bracketed under a hot prospect tag but its the work permit that will hinder his first team oppurtunity this season.I hope they get it sorted out soon as possible.

ps: You are right about that Adu fact Jumberto...This guy might be special.

Dont forget to close the door on your way out Mike!

As for signing Berbatov, Im not sure that would be a good thing. Having seen him play lately he's a great technical player but the fact he continues to be such a moody, lazy bastard would really put me off him. Maybe fergie can shout some sense into him but there's an equal chance he'll just go off somewhere to moan and not have the mentality to fight for his place with the likes of tevez, rooney, etc.

Its all very well playing great and doing your best when everything is going your way but so far, the moment it hasnt gone his way he's gone into a half a season mope. Watching the game today just really pissed me off. He has the ability but you can just see him not even put in any effort whatsoever and the only time he didnt walk around like he couldnt be arsed to be there was when he scored. After the penalty miss from keane he was back to walking around with his head down.

Good post Tik, completely agree. I don't want Berbatov at United - just like I wouldn't want "Le Sulk" (Anelka); they both have attitude problems in my opinion. I mean come on, how many clubs has Anelka played for so far? Yes he is a quality player but would you want to manage him? I wouldn't. :)
