Manchester United Thread

lol im hoping we dont lose...i dunno whats gonna happen its one of those thast simply cant be decided, but for me i think we have more match winners than they do , not a certain french man for them anymore

I must admit,I too miss the big match feeling and I am glad its back now.Its been a while since I feel like this. The mouth watering prospect of counter attacking football is a great deal indeed. For sure we wont let them have the upper hand like they had last season, twice,I might add.

I feel the lads were hard done by today...credits to Arsenal too for not giving up.We were only 2 minutes away from inflicting a first defeat for Arsenal but it was not meant to be and to get a point at the Emirates is not a bad result.

Difference between the team was marginal but this match has more respect shown to each other, more than I have ever seen in the past.Crunching tackles ends up in handshakes, proper winding up not entertained, end to end stuffs. The Keano-Vieira era is finally passed by now which is a breath of fresh air.

In the end it was a great result for Arsenal but surely the United lads feel that they have lost 2 points.

I really think Carrick should have started ahead of Anderson here. It would have made a huge difference for us.
I remember Andy Gray pointing out that the gap on the pitch between our attacking 4 and the rest of the team was huge. Having someone like Carrick would have made getting the ball between that gap would have helped a lot. Of course it would have been even better with Scholes but Carrick was the next best option here. Plus he would have given you a tighter midfield AND someone who can make forward runs every now and then.

Really should have done better.

yeah the anomosity between the teams wasn't as high and there was a lot of fair play (the pre match handshakes, lot of lifting up after tackles etc, the only heated pushy shove was between Flamini/Anderson I think early on), I'm very disappointed in the match overall in terms of going out and getting the 3 points, it looked like neither team wanted it, which is rare, I don't know how exactly to word it. I have a lot of mixed emotions about the game, for some reason if Arsenal never had equalised I might have been happier cause it might have woke them up a bit, I don't believe either team deserved one point let alone 3. Fair result I guess.

makes me laugh, We were distraught at the final whistle, and arsenal were celebrating like they won the league, they were the home team, shows whos best in the league doesnt it lol

What? Eh, I don't think they were celebrating cause of that, probably more because they came back in injury time after playing not as well as they could have done and they got a point to stay top of the league with a game in hand.

AND I'd be distraught too if I was a United player, you didn't play well either and had a chance TWICE to take 3 points and let it slip

Arsenal been doing that in every game showing unity and togetherness ...at least that`s what they said on Arsenal TV anyhow I imagine even in a lost they consult each other... a bit fruity

Fair enough mate

Honestly without being biased...Arsenal gained that point which would be a disappointed considering they were at home.

I remember Jose Mourinho saying we lost it last season when Chelski came out with a point at Old Trafford.Yeah Right.

i thought Ronaldo would be on form, i was totally wrong complete opossite BUT he was stil the one that made the big impact, setting up the 1st and scoring the 2nd, we should have won it when it was 2-1 definetly ...in the end its 2 points dropped but we got a good result away at Arsenal but could have had more..

I actually thought a point each was a fair result, but I think they'll be tougher games to come. Everyone has seen how we responded to losing against City, but it will be interesting to see how Arsenal will respond when they lose.

It could have been easily a win for United today but fair play to Arsenal they scrapped out the draw. After Arsenal equalised, United showed great professionalism and deserved the lead through Ronaldo scoring, but Arsenal had that bit of burst towards the end with Gallas scoring

The reaction at the end from the Arsenal fans was a bit over the top I felt, majority of the second half you was out played by a professional, calm team performance

The result was probably a deserved draw though

Gotta say, was a good game of footie, the hatred is gone for me. And it's weird. Some of th Arsneal passing in the middle third was beautiful, but they only really created a couple chances all game, and those were scrappy. I thought United's tactics were spot on, and if not for some dodgy defending we could have had 3 points.

Either way, I'd of taken a point this morning, so happy days :)

Perfectly sums up my feelings aswell

The game was pretty much even - just because you guys went 2-1 up it doesn't mean you deserved to win!!

The draw was a fair result - end of story.

Arsenal fans were happy because we got the result the game deserved. If the same thing happened at Old Trafford, would the Man U fans just sit there and not celebrate?!!

Someone said if it hadn't been bad defending on Man U part they would have got 3 points. Well both Man U goals were due to bad defending - bit unlucky on the first, but the second goal our defenders were shocking!!

Draw = Fair Result. If any team came out losers they would have been hard done by.

imo both teams are exceptional and young it was strange to see so much love(handshakes, hugs, exchanging tops...) pure respect for 1 another good luck in the rest of the season
