Heinze move to Liverpool and its 'reason' ---> Strange
Do you quote from Heinze himself or is it just your assumption? I believe its the latter in this case.John Arne Riise is their first choice left back for many years now and they got Fabio Aurelio too if he hasnt left.Thats enough competition in my opinion. The only natural and proper leftback we got is Patrice Evra who is relatively a rookie in the Premiership and The Champions League!!
I don't know if I'd call a CL-finalist, a champions-league rookie. :p
Not too many guys like that around even at big clubs
like Man Utd. (Many of your current stars and good players haven't even had that experience yet)
So if we are to call him a CL-rookie, then what are we supposed to call guys like the man in your avatar, 'phrase'?
As for being an EPL rookie, yeh I guess you can say that but then again, so many players including many successful ones are EPL rookies if you want to look at it
that way as well then since they've only been there for a short time and that includes a guy who you all rate so highly nowadays I suppose in Mr. Vidic. If Evra is an EPL rookie then so is he since they came at the same time and Tevez who looks to join Man Utd fairly soon is an even bigger one! (of course I'm aware of the argument that Vidic has perhaps played more games though)
As for what Gomito is saying, I'm not sure I understand him either. :-s
If anything, competition is more fierce for a 1st place in Liverpool's LB spot. This whole
"Heinze is leaving because he want 1st team football" that much of the media has presented this way, is quite confusing and sounds very fishy to me. =P~
He's always been a determined and competitive player before and I knew him from years back like when he was with PSG where not that many people outside France knew him. Not even many Argies rated him that highly at that point, I seem to remember. I'm not sure why he's acting like this all of a sudden, it's not like him.
He's not stupid either. He knows there is a Norwegian dude by the name of Riise who has cemented his place in the first team of LFC even more than Evra has with Utd and scored some cracking goals as well, making that battle for a 1st team place even harder to win than the one he has against Evra. (Of course he can play as a CB as well but then Agger and Carragher aren't push-overs either)
So it seems to me, like there is something else going on behind the scenes which hasn't been brought up to the publics attention yet but may come out months from now when this topic isn't 'hot news' anymore and forgotten about and the dust has settled, as often is the case with situations like that.
A fight/argument with another player or a bunch of players perhaps or an argument with a staff member or his agent trying to unsettle him for whatever reason or
something that is bothering Gabriel about the club and its atmosphere or its location, weather (whatever, it doesn't matter) that has made him want to leave. I'm not saying it's any of those things and have no interest in speculating in what I know nothing concrete about. I'm just saying,
something (which we don't know about yet and maybe only Gabriel and his agent do at this time) has made him want to leave it seems because I don't buy the whole "1st team football" excuse.
You have that competition for a 1st-team place at every big club. Hell, you have that at even semi-big clubs and medium sized clubs and in some clubs with extra and sometimes too much depth (like Inter usually), you often not only compete with one but several players for a single position in the starting 11. So it's not like, this is the first time this has happened in the history of football and he has any right to be pi$$ed off or complain about it.
Plus, I personally feel that if he was to stay and stop giving excuses and just train hard and play, he has so much quality that he could actually end up getting his 1st team place back and play at
least 50% of the games for United when not injured and maybe as much as 75-85% anyway. And I can't see how, he or anyone else in that position (LB) would complain about that or think their chances of playing more than that amount would be improved by moving to Liverpool.
Therefore, methinks, something else is probably going on behind the scenes. :-k
Something that at this point perhaps, only a few club officials/staff and Gabriel and his own agent may know that hasn't been set straight or talked about in the media or communicated to the fans like yourselves.
Something that has turned Heinze off about the club and make him want to move... otherwise, his recent actions don't really make sense and are quite baffling.
I could easily be wrong but that's my 2 cents and what my mind suggest to me, could be the most likely scenario from the little honest info we have been given about this until now.
I think soon the
real reason for all this fuss will come out though.... and then we'll all be more informed and have to do less guessing and speculating like I just did.
