Not a case of not trying, its called being outplayed.

spot on....KaKa was World Class....
Ronaldo! getting a little agitate that twit

Atleast you can console yourselves with the prem, and hopefully the fa cup aswell.

Milan were really good, especially kaka, awesome player. And the formation didnt work for manu. It was most evident in the second half with manu trying to get in the game and playing in milan's half. A lot of times utd ended up with giggs on the wing and ronaldo and rooney together on the edge of the area and scholes a bit further behind in the middle, leaving who in the centre as the attacker? No one. Was hopping for another comeback actually to take it to extra time.

Need to get Hargreaves. Carrick cant tackle & has no energy either.

Need to replace Roy Keane & Hargreaves is the nearest option who actually wants to come to us.

Please buddy, you didn't deserve the dignity of penalties. Milan playing like they did this evening would have wiped the floor with anyone. All credit to them.

I always thought Carrick was overpriced. Now I'm sure. Manuel Fernandes, who we do not want anymore is a lot better.

Best team won.

I'll tell you something, I was really buying into this "down to the last four and there's three English teams left, the Premiership really is the best league in the world" stuff. Now, watching the Premiership leaders get utterly humiliated, I feel like an idiot.

Italy win the World Cup, Italian team through to the UEFA CL final. I think I'll have to move to Italy for a few years...

Yes well done!!!!!!!!!!!!milan ac the best team won:applause: :applause: glad to see Man u get hammered:) :)
no STUPID/bad defending ,own goal or fucking useless goalkeeper (everton???)forza milan!!and ronaldo who??

There was bad defending on our part.

Jump on the happy to see us lose bandwagon. We should still have 2 trophies this year. More than what i thought.

Still a happy red devil

If we had Rio, Gary, Vidic and Evra all playing and fit, I am sure it would have been a completely different story.

But, props to Milan, they played VERY well, and we defended shit, and Fletcher was very poor. We missed Evra :(

Heinze is shite! Sorry he has passion but he just lumps it forward.

GET BALE IN!!!!

Hes young but he can take free kicks & is already quality at 17

I wouldnt get carried away jack, remember the previous round with manu? Italy were close to going out to australia (down to 10 men and extra time looming) and dived to get a 95min penalty. Got past germany in the end of ET and were for the most part only dangerous with the matarazzi corners and ended up playing 10 men france in the final. Manu didnt turn up tonight and milan played some great stuff. What i did notice though was when manu pushed forward more and harried the milan defense they werent confortable and in the home leg they were hanging on when manu went into prem speed. Manu played european speed tonight and forgot to fight for the ball. That together with the attacks positioning, not having anybody in the area, meant they never looked dangerous either.

It was just a really good performence and a very poor one from manu, doesnt make their league the best because one of their teams played a really good semi (last time against psv they had to hang on for most of the games and were very fortunate to even win their home tie). And having 3 english teams int he semi doesnt make the prem the best league in the world. We just had 3 of the 4 strongest teams atm.

 man u did meet more then there match tonite , conceding 2 goals at home is a kick in the teeth when your going to a place like san siro with the defensive record they have kaka is simply brilliant :D

and I've got some strange, horrible feeling about tomorrow. Fate dictating another Milan-Pool match? surely not?

I hope not anyways

well, I really hate the fact that this feeling came to be true, I really do. We were completely and utterly destroyed at the hands of Milan. Kaka is a world beater, and Gattuso was everywhere. And Liverpool fans can say all they wish about Istanbul, and how they came back after Milan destroyed them, but this year, it's just not gonna happen.

I was scared at how good Milan were, and if they don't win it this year, then the footballing world is bent

I do believe our first 11 would certainly have been a better test, but still, we've had a great season regardless. Also thought Scholes was at his best, just desperate for someone to rise up to teh challenge with him. Not sure he gave the ball away once. Unfortunately Giggs, Carrick, Ronaldo, Rooney and Flethcer made up for it.

To be fair, I doubt very much Milan could have played at that tempo for 90 mins had they not rested sinec last Tuesday. But play at the tempo they did, and completely outplayed us. Still a young team, not like Giggs added anything whatsoever.

Gary Neville would have made a lot of difference if he was playing, in my opinion.

He is the team's captain for good reason.

They might say the same about Maldini. I think we missed Park ji Sung more really. We could have done with someone pestering them.

Thanks for all the guys appreciating Milans performance. Im over the moon :)

Just got back from watching the game with mates from work, who all support Man Utd.

I have to say Im so surprised by Fergusons formation. The system seemed ok, but Rooney up front by himself? They invited Milan to go forward, awful decision. I was right in saying Man Utd away from home are poor, but this was one of their worst performances.

Sure it wouldve been different if Man Utd had their first team out, but the way Milan played I think we would of beaten anybody.

Unlucky, and goodluck for next year.

well done milan, fully deserved to go through, we had abad game all round, but at the start of the season any united fan would of wanted the premiership more than anything so im not too down, and the chelsea fans in this forum make me laugh, yeah we lost 3-0 but we still scored more goals in the game at old trafford than they scored in in 2 and a half games including penos, the leagues ours and i cant wait till the fa cup final, i'll be at wembley watching us lift the double, then i suppose mourinho will have some excuse like normal lol

Full credit to Milan they were utterly fantastic and hopefully they take the crown playing this type of football.
We just seemed to look lazy and jaded as though the Everton game took too much out of us. Once again we played our typical away from home in europe style the patient pass without a purpose approach with one upfront. Its never worked worked before and doesnt look as though it ever will but when will Fergie learn.

ya totally outclassed i was a bit shocked though the 2 super r's woulda performed betta but was a cassy outfit in milan tonight unlucky lads (hehe)

Forza Milan!!!!!!!!!!!!!

then in that case the prem sucks, cause ronaldo DOMINATED the entire league all year... one game does not make a player you douche

i agree the formation was strange, i also thought the ref was horrible, clear pen to rooney on the bike attempt

clear pen to rooney on the bike attempt

maybe, but I'd have been pissed off if it was given against us. Overall, Milan were very professional and our young players will hopefully learn a lot from the experience.

Let's hammer Ciddy at the weekend to cheer us all up a bit. \\:o/

Well,so much for high hopes and expectations. Its a surprising result to be honest.Nobody would have thought that we could beat Roma 7-1 and its the same case here.Man United was thought a footballing lesson by Milan?! It was an outside chance but the reality is that we were comprehensively beaten.

The saddest thing about our defeat was that we were poor all around. Our 'star' players never showed up with the exception of Scholes. We deserved to lose in other words. However, like many has said before the game,I prefer we lost to Milan in the semis than losing to them Scousers in the finals.

To wrap up,this season is still fantastic for us considering those 'poor' 2-3 season ago.Semi-finalist in the CL,finalist in the FA Cup and with the impending Premiership Crown to go for.It would still be a standing ovation finish for our lads and supporters world-wide.Phrase,Manchester United fan, through and through.
