Rossi is set to start for the first time for Italy's under 21 game tonight, they need a draw to qualify. Its only his 3rd game and now hes a starter... that says alot. Italians dont generally rate 'foreign' Italians, especially an American. I can see him turning into the new Miccoli but at a much earlier age.

the kid is defo a talent and I rate his determination cos he could have walked into the USA side but his dream is to play for Italy and even though it will be difficult it seems to be paying off for him...

ummm he wouldnt have walked into the usa side.... what has he done to warrant that... maybe in a few years after he has scored some goals...

utterly and completley untrue. in a recent interview Rossi himself says bruce arena never invited him to camp.... so not sure where your getting your info from..

Didn't they repeatedly try to get him to play with them?
nah, there really wasnt a spot for him to even play... he would have been the same kind of selection as walcott. he wasnt going to play over donovan, and certainly is not the kind of striker that mcbride is... so he would have sat on the bench.... 2010 he would be usefull, but not this summer...

No offense but after seeing Donovan at the World Cup - maybe Arena should have considered Rossi? ;)

Fair enough mate your gonna know better than me, I just thought I read an interview that he turned down to the opportunity to play for USA so not to jepordise his chances of playing for Italy, I must have read it wrong.... (and added some VAT on it lol)

Seems like good news for United. No reports of injuries whatsoever to our players after last night's round of internationals.Hope they will be ready to brush Spurs aside this weekend.

It would be nice to have a Keane type player alongside him though as Italy had in the World Cup with Gatusso and Pirlo. Hargreaves would have been perfect but nevertheless lets see how things go and theres always January.

Well if you're trying to create a Gatusso/Pirlo style partnership, Hargreaves wouldnt be the answer, you'd need someone more like Mascherano.
But if you wanted the best possible midfield, you'd have to go for a 4-3-3 with all 3 cuz that would give you the perfect balance is ALL areas.

Hes scheduled to be back 9th September, I think hes been building the muscle up on his knee. Cant wait to see the tough tackler back, hes one of Uniteds best defenders if not the best

Heinze shouldnt be rushed back at all,its important to recover properly from knee injuries. We have great covers in Evra,O'Shea and Silvestre for his position so,it shouldnt be a problem. He will be back better than ever I assume. So its confirmed that nobody from the United camp is injured from the midweek internationals,yes...including Louis Saha.Great news for us that is.Hope we would be ready for Spurs.C'mon United!!

Yeah some drunk git named Gray was hurling abuse at rooney's girlfriend Colleen and her female friends. Rooney politely asked Gray several times to leave them alone but he couldnt understand, so rooney had to put it to him in another language.

Can't wait for club football to start again!
Just hope Carrick doesn't accidently pass the ball to his former team mates, seeing as he's only played but a few games for us. I'm waiting for him to show us what he's really made of.

Manchester United's perfect start to the new season has been rewarded after Sir Alex Ferguson and Ryan Giggs picked up the Premiership Manager and Player of the Month awards.

A shaky 1-0 win, nevertheless another 3points, while Arsehole and liverscum messed up. Pity the mercenaries didnt draw with charlton.
