Manchester United Thread

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

LOL 2-0 to norwich. THis is laughable even as a supporter, United standards are slipping coz it will be disgraceful to end season third place again.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Thats it. It's all over. Were 2-0 down to Norwich. Not only are we starting to lose matches, we're losing our pride.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Although I will say, I was pretty impressed with Kleberson. Not that United had a single pretty attacking move, but all the 'almosts' were originated from him. SAF is an idiot, the strikers aren't getting support, so lets through on 2 more strikers and take off the midfield. Brilliant.

Are there really many Smith supporters after a night like that? Was he playing in the first half? That was his game to show why he should start, I thought he was terrible.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Sorry to do this, but I just can't help but to point out the irony of Rooney being the loser of the game after the discussion on him a page earlier!

Cristiano Ronaldo was god awfull again as well :D.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

the midfield is the problem. no creativity

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Yeah, I felt bad for Rooney, his first challenge was terrible, but if Helveg had done it to him there wouldn't have been a booking. Then the second ball loss was partly due to the push. That Safri player is seriously dirty, I coulnd't Scholes blame when he took him out towards the end, and I generally hate to see that kind of thing. He pulled, tugged, kicked and lashed out the whole match, but I guess since he's so insignificant the ref decided to ignore him.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Poor poor performance today by all accounts. Heinze looked nothing like the player he has been since he arrived (all be it late ;)) this season. Ronaldo, Rooney and Ruud were unable to change the game when they came on and looked like they could have done with a rest. But the serious concern is again the midfield. Kleberson failed to make a mark on the game - again. Will he ever get a chance of a real run in the side to cement a place? Unlikely. The chances he has had, he's been unlucky to get injured. But his time is up. Quinton is a determined player but not good enough as a serious contentder for a first team midfielder and Phil Neville is the utility man who only really shows his worth in midfield when given a specific job of cutting down play against the big guns. Scholes and Keane are aging. Replacements needed ASAP.

This point has been made a few times earlier this season and it does make you wonder, surely it would be better to play the big guns from the start then remove them from the game should we be comfortable rather than have them on the bench and then throw them on when we are chasing so will be less effective!?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I didnt see game yet but heard Howard had shit game(carroll's turn now) Rio limped off injured and overall we were humiliated. Fergie is an idiot. he clearly doesnt know how to support and put faith in his players on the pitch. As soon as things go wrong, he takes players off or doesnt play them the next.

I dont believe you can expect much from smith or saha as they havnt beem given enough games this season due to injury and Fergie just having his favourites in Van and rooney, these two players dont always play well surly one of thme can be swapped from time to time.

It was confirmed United will only have money for a goalkeeper when we clearly need midfielder and another class defender, imagine if United didnt sell stam, he would be solid with rio. I think it will be safe to say United will be in a crisis by the end of the season, if not then next season.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

This teams PATHETIC!

Time for change and quick may be a mini clearout of something. you guys may not agree but mmna this team has no heart, pride creativity and more.

Need players NOW!

Rant over.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

The worst is knowing that only last week norwich got complelty destroyed by arsenal, who havnt even spent nearly as much money as United on players and still, we cant compete with them.

We surly aint going to see a new team next year unless UNited ditch some of the useless crap in the team.

Yep!

Thats what upsets me is Arsenal now they have Gilberto back seem like a different team with NO new players!

This United team and management(Fergie) need 2 go i dont understand his logic you say RVN needs game but leave him out? Sure he aint scored but y play Saha when he could probably doeith a rest?

Howard needs 2 go as he gets worse and worse.

Need some fresh blood as this team is stale.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

what even more worrying is that we dont have the money to buy more players.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

there will be money if needed. gill is saying it so we dont get held to ransom. if money isnt spent the team gets left behind, meaning less income in the long run. the team needs two players in the midfield. a creator, and someone who dominates.

im sure they will find some, and it isnt as if united will get refused for a loan if neccessary.

Ronaldo was the only player who looked like creating something to be fair to him. Put some crosses in and ran at players but not really helped from the lack of movement from the forwards. Smith is looking more and more average the more I see him play. As for Saha, injured again. He might as well fuck off really, he's hardly played for us.
Completely embarassing result though, missed Keane shouting at everyone it seemed.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

gutted... i haven't spoken to my family, and they don't have a clue what has happened. i'm in a state of shock right now, my God. 2-0? wow, kleber started? saha? fortune? phil neville? somebody tell fergie that we're in third place in the premier league right now, those aren't the players to put on when you're in the situation, no matter who you're playing

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Even if we do get passed Newcastle, theres no way we're gonna win the FA Cup if we face Arsenal in the final. Arsenal are gonna hammer us if we dont pick ourselves up.
When will Sir Alex learn?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Sack the man, he is way past his sell by date. He should have retired when he was on top but the man is far too greedy.

Nah next season will be his last chance, I hope Fergie gets it right coz it will be sad if he messes up everthing and has to be sacked to go on his record.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

Juninho from Lyon as a creator and Essien as a holding midfielder?

Would they come if Lyon get 2 the Final?

We were one of the most affractive teams 2 come 2,these days a slowly passing i feel.

It is the end of the world. This loss means that its very unlikely we'll even finish 2nd. This loss also also shows that our performances and mentality has gone so bad, we might not even win the FA Cup. And finally this loss also proves that Sir Alex has officially lost the plot.
This is probably the worst loss we've experienced in years.

lol you lot are making 1 loss seem like the end of the world.

Weve been getting by with mediocre performances and finally it caught up with us.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

We're probably the most under achieving team of the year.

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

that's an understatement, i truly believe that we can brand ourself as the underachieving club of the year for the second year on the trot. once again, i beg the question, is a player like cristiano ronaldo going to stay at united now? he has the potential to win only one FA Cup in two years with United. what about rooney? is he just as unloyal? what will the future hold for us now?

Re: Manchester United Supporters Thread.

I wouldnt blame ronaldo if he wanted to leave to become a better player. If he were at arsenal or chelsea he would be performing much better trust me, our shitty style we have adopted instead of 442 doesnt work for some of our players, mainly our strikers. The reason it works so well for chelsea is coz they can play long ball and have good heading players, we dont.

Where is he going to go?
By your standards...

Arsenal- Underachievers
Real Madrid- Underachievers
Juventus- Underachievers
etc
It's very rare to find a loyal player in football, everyone knows that.
We lost to Norwich! Calm down!

In the same way Jose Reyes has set the world alight this season? I admit we're playing some awful football at the moment, but we're going through a transitional period but still being able to put good results together.
Who are these fantastic heading players at Chelsea? Drogba Gudjohnsen and Kezman? Not renowned for their heading anymore than Ruud, Saha and Smith.
Chelsea don't play a long ball game anyway, they've played some brilliant stuff on the deck this year.
