Run in looks a little tough but the key will be our start, hopefully we can get our confidence early, last season we were like a boxer who got knocked down and could never recover.

If LvG wants a more "old-school" touchline winger than he should look no further than Cuadrado, who's been excellent for Fiorentina this season and impressive at the World Cup so far.

Could be a tactic to increase his transfer sum should LVG want to get rid of him at some pt.. Or does that kinda thinking sound too non United like?
 
Makeshift RB? If only he didn't give 2 great chances a match due to his terrible positioning, he'd be useful there.

I'm surprised by this. Not the first play I want out of United (Buttner) but not the first I'd expect to see signing a new contract either.
 
Yeah I don't get it, I genuinely don't think he has a spot in the squad unless were shifting formation to 3-5-2 where he can be a RWB.

in a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 Id already rather see Nani, Kagawa, Welbeck and even Young ahead of him and I'd consider selling one or two of those too!.

Also rumours are I might get my wish, some team owner in Russia/Ukraine has said they've signed Alex Buttner!

That MUST mean we're confident on Shaw, who obviously will be home next week ;)
 
Yes Büttner has signed for Dinamo Moscow. His agent has come out and said that it's realistic Büttner will move to Real Madrid in three years. :LOL:

Not sure there is a reason for him to be pissed off. Everything about that saga last year seems to be a lot of press hype. Even it being Utd I find it hard to imagine everything was as much of a clusterf**K as it was made out to be.
 
Hopefully sorted in the next 24 hours and Shaw within a week with him returning from International Duty.

probably a waiting game for others as still likely at WC.
 
Herrera is in Manchester @ Carrington today to put finishing touches on the deal.

Should be announced soon, I for one am excited about us having a bonafide CM/AMF back in the team.

oh and now there is some news that herrera paid his buy-out clause to complete the transfer.

nothing to worry about, just Bilbao posturing to appease fans by trying to say we don't want to sell but Ander wanted out and forced the move.

He's passed his medical and personal terms.
 
To be fair, this one isn't on the media. Both of those tweets came directly from Bilbao's official account. For me:

1. Bilbao made it clear with first tweet they weren't agreeing a sale to another club (i.e., f*ck off and don't try to buy our players)

2. Bilbao made it clear that Herrera had paid his full contract release clause, i.e. you can only leave if you terminate your contract

Good negotiation from them. Haven't seen enough to judge him, but £30m seems a lot for a relatively unproven talent. Then again, City spent more than that on Fernandinho and he was a revelation. Oh and we have a minor midfield problem at the moment ;)
 
Best bet is that he updated his whole twitter page before United have announced it. Good work lad!

We're surrounding Big Dave with his mates. Best young player at the club, so makes sense to me!
