Manchester United Thread

Also, there are rumors going around that this is our first 0-0 in the prem for years...feels wrong to me but then I can't recall one from last year or this year...

Cripes, that was stressful. Reminds me of the Ronaldo goal against the same opposition from 3 seasons ago. Feels huge.

Class from Rooney, but we really should have been out of sight in the first half. So many chances, 4 posts!

Yeah we played amazing in the first half, but credit to Fulham for being dangerous on the counter and their goalie saved their asses today. De Gea with some brilliant saves. Valencia was kinda shitty okay but thought Nani did great. He's clicking with rvp and Rooney though he s still too selfish at times. Great goal by Rooney and Rvp saved us again by clearing that ball at the end off the line, rather than scoring. I'll take that.

No lights, Camera, Action !
Fulham 0-1 Manchester United
Rooney with a well placed goal that seperated the two teams. Man we could have scored more but it could have gone either way i now we get even closer to the EPL title ! Why wasnt Berbatov playing ? I feel he would have made a difference for Fulham. Oh and by the way, that CAM for Fulham on loan from AC Milan played well when he came from the bench.

Looks like Ando's out with a head injury...

Lol hilarious. I agree with folks that SAF can be a twat, but you can always tell in little moments like that that he tries to create and maintain an amicable atmosphere with the team. Doesn't seem like he's really pissed off there, especially the way he hits him and the way Anderson playfully seems to try and provoke his reaction by looking at him.

Ferguson is best manager in the world. He gets everything out of his players.

Imagine if he had City or Chelsea money? He would walk the league and Champions League.

Team against Everton should be missing most of the lads starting in Madrid, Liverpool did us a huge favor. I'd even take a point just so we have everyone fresh for Wednesday.

Everton is more important than Madrid game. Silly statement? Not really, I dont see Utd winning the CL with Barcelona and Bayern Munich looking so good.

But Utd can win the league - throwing away points whilst City beating Southampton on Saturday will only put uneccessary pressure on Man Utd.

Play your best 11 every game now unless its against sides you can afford to rest players i.e. the Aston Villas of this world.

No sense in why they can't play both.

We'll struggle against either without Carrick though, hopefully his 'hip injury' is more SAF telling Woy he isn't playing a pointless friendly.

Yeah he's got Woy in his pocket so their shouldn't be any issues :D SAF want's a 3rd CL, its his priority even if he doesn't come out and say it, I think RVP wasn't even bought for the league as much as he was for the Champions League.

One cold and bitter Thursday in Munich, Germany,
Eight great football stalwarts conceded victory,
Eight men will never play again who met destruction there,
The flowers of English football, the flowers of Manchester

Matt Busby’s boys were flying, returning from Belgrade,
This great United family, all masters of their trade,
The pilot of the aircraft, the skipper Captain Thain,
Three times they tried to take off and twice turned back again.

The third time down the runaway disaster followed close,
There was slush upon that runaway and the aircraft never rose,
It ploughed into the marshy ground, it broke, it overturned.
And eight of the team were killed as the blazing wreckage burned.

Roger Byrne and Tommy Taylor who were capped for England’s side.
And Ireland’s Billy Whelan and England’s Geoff Bent died,
Mark Jones and Eddie Colman, and David Pegg also,
They all lost their lives as it ploughed on through the snow.

Big Duncan he went too, with an injury to his brain,
And Ireland’s brave Jack Blanchflower will never play again,
The great Matt Busby lay there, the father of his team
Three long months passed by before he saw his team again.

The trainer, coach and secretary, and a member of the crew,
Also eight sporting journalists who with United flew,
and one of them Big Swifty, who we will ne’er forget,
the finest English ‘keeper that ever graced the net.

Oh, England’s finest football team its record truly great,
its proud successes mocked by a cruel turn of fate.
Eight men will never play again, who met destruction there,
the flowers of English football, the flowers of Manchester

Gone, but never forgotten. RIP Lads.

Respect. Always pisses me of when idiot supporters of other teams joke about it. Not saying all Utd fans are saints. Whether it's the air crash, the Hillsborough disaster or any other situations where folks got seriously hurt or died.. It should never be used to taunt other teams with.
