Manchester United Thread

Talk of a double deal between Newcastle and Manchester United, Demba Ba and Cheick Tiote in a deal for £10million plus Berbatov and our verbal agreement that we won't bid on Debuchy, hear it from a toon fan who said it was circulating on a few forums, though I can't find anything.. This would be a brilliant deal, so I hope it's true!

No way, again deals like that never happen.

Also don't think Tiote is necessarily going to improve us in that many matches. Occasionally against the big teams, but in 75% of matches we don't really need an exclusive destroyer.

With Bielsa leaving we'd be mental not to at least bid for Javi Martinez.

I know, but Hopeful thinking won't hurt anyone!
True, Javi Martinez now he is a player who can improve is in a lot of our games, a beautiful destroyer!

Saw this in another thread and it cracked me up big time! :LMAO:

Thought I'd share it with you friends here for a good laugh :) in case some missed it.

If the ginger prince had been a bit shorter in this pic, it would've been perfect in my opinion! :P

It's incredible isn't it, And all because of feckin horse.
It sounds like a joke, but Jesus it is kind of true.. The glazier family are here because of 2 Irishmen, a scots men and a feckin horse, I'm having a breakdown.. If you need me I'll be in the loft singing sailor songs drinking rum..

Good bye and good luck Park Ji Sung.
Thank you for your fantastic 7 years of service at the club.
Truly a pioneer asian footballer who played at the highest level possible and won eight major honours, including four league titles, UEFA Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup.

:WORSHIP:

"Parkkkk, Parkkkk, Wherever you may be!"

Almost a legend. Definitely one of the players that made the most out of the abilities to take it to a level that most players would never get to. His trophy cabinet is rather stocked.

Used to like him, but to be honest glad we're moving away at this point. He was utterly, utterly terrible for the last 12 months, and given his game is more or less wholly dependant on fitness, I can't see him getting much better at 31 or later.

Yeah it's a good time to part ways with him. He had some poor performances this last season.

I do wanna echo what phrase said though. :WORSHIP:

A great servant to the club! And don't forget all the important goals he scored too. He seemed to pop up as a scorer just when nobody expected and in the biggest of matches! The occasion never fazed him much and he was great at making runs in the box as well.

In his peak, he was a beast! He's not the same player any more but he still has a lot to offer a club hoping to stabilize in EPL like QPR.

Good transfer for all parties.

We'll never know til we try! ;)

Maybe we could just kidnap him, Berbatov style...

We could just Fergie to woo him with his.. Rugged Scottish voice, wow I just realised we have the worst manager for trying to talk a player into joining the club.. No one would understand him!

Rejected is more controversial.. And will draw more people to want to read it..

Also, Park being considered for captaincy, hope he gets it..

Think Modric bid is way more likely. AVB basically came out and said that Modric will go for the right price - the question is just what our 'right price' would be. Certainly wouldn't complain with:

------------De Gea--------------
--Rafael--Rio---Vidic----Evra---
-------Carrick---Modric---------
--Valencia--Kagawa------Nani----
------------Rooney--------------

With options like Young, Hernandez and Scholes on the bench.

But, anything over £25m would be disappointing for me. He wants to leave, didn't have the best season and isn't going to have a re-sale value. Plus if he comes now, he can learn from Scholsey :)

Our right price would be £1, a pack of Haribo and a dinner with Fergie.

The Glaziers have come out in America and reiterated their intentions of giving Fergie £100m to spend on transfers (Down to £83m since Kagawa was bought)
I don't see how they have raised this money but if true there is no reason why we won't be able to get Baines (£15m), Modric (£30m) and Van Persie (£25m) and have £13m left which would be boosted to £15-18m by the Park sale and potentially £25-28m if Berba is sold ( I hope he isn't) we could secure another high quality CB.

I don't want us to splunk stupid money around. It's not necssary and it's a bit of a waste imo.

We don't need Baines and to be honest I don't want to take a starter from Everton and sit him on our bench. We certainly don't need RVP.

We just really need a midfielder and maybe a promising young left back.
