Lost - Season 5

How can people compare Lost to PB...lol. For those commenting here, they should know that, from the beginning, the producers said that they already knew all story...they aren't making any major change to anything they thought...and that is easily understandable when we see on 2nd season (or something like that) Richard visiting Locke as a kid, asking him to pick an object, and being explained at season 5 why it happen. If it wasn't in their mind...lol
Anyway, did you know that Lost made a unique contract for 6 seasons when they were at half stage? They know it will have 6 seasons for ages...they signed the contracted with them because Lost story can't be just ended like that.
So..it's definetely going somewhere..maybe they are going somewhere you don't like it, but it would always happen that to someone..with so many suggestions... I personally like the way it's going...and please understand that this is a special island..it's not supposed to act like our nowadays life so..
And if some people followed the series a bit more, you'd see that some of the concepts they took aren't that irrealistic. Time travel is still an hypothetical chance discussed by cientists.

Aaaaaah... now you say! I thought it was a fact based documentary!

My theory:
Ben was elected the new leader, Whitmore got annoyed and pissed off because he was also probably kicked off the island. So now Whitmore is trying to get it back.

The nuke might also have something to do with the island's messed up core.

Brilliant!

Maybe Ben and Whitmore where battling in a U.S style government election!

Im only joking but its Lost so it will probably happen

if you approach this expecting a realistic tv show with some mistery...better search somewhere else.

first two episodes of 5 were okay, but this week's was brilliant.lovely details.

well said. its like expecting heroes, 24 and even PB to be a realistic show.

if you want to watch a realistic tv show, watch the wire

Very good episode tonight.

Michael Giacchino's music is excellent.

I'm sure the 'back again' line was just the screw with us - she meant back again as in who they thought not actually directly towards him.

I'm also starting to dislike Faraday - anytime something weird happens or he's asked a strange question he just spaces out into his own little world.

Random theory post from a friend on the WWF kingdom forums
The whole time travelling bit is like in the Time Travellers Wife.

You can't change what didn't happen in the past, but the things they are changing "did" happen.

Like last night when Locke suggests to Richard that he is at Locke's birth if he wants proof he is who he says he is. I'm 99% sure that there was a Locke flashback episode where Richard was at his birth.

Desmond said he had a memory. For all we know Daniel did talk to Desmond in Desmond's past but he's only just remembered it or realised it's significance. Desmond is on his own timeline anyway which makes him an abnormality.

I don't think Richard is old, but just that he's worked out how to time travel on the island or maybe we'll see a flashback episode for him where these current "flashes" are sending him forward from the 1950's to every other time we've seen him so far.

I think he could be onto something with richard time travelling forward, but then again i'm thinking that he's dead and thats why jacks dad came back to life and locke will. you can be brought back to life on the island for basically eternal life. Which would explain why whitmore is desperate to get back there.

If Charles Widmore was on the island in the 50's and looked to be like 20 ish, then is he supposed to be 70+ in the modern day?

Maybes that's why he wants back on the island - maybe it slows or completely stops the ageing process and that's why Richard never aged and why babies never last?

MAJOR SPOILER !!!
Love the ending. I figured it out as soon as we saw the rescue boat, but that's great. And for most of them their French is Canadian...like always :)

I loved everything that happened on the island/water (thanks to the little confession scenes).
And I really don't like Ben's double game.

7/10

Im just in love with Lost right now, they really are creating lots of empty spots in the storyline, but at the same time, their filling up the older ones. The story is really good atm, when i end one episode i just want to get right into the other, lol too bad it will take some days. =p

Good to see things being pieced together.

Too much jumping in time though, too confusing and irritates me a little as it's hard to keep up. The fact that the show has been on so long now also means that things are being "explained" but I've forgotten a load of stuff that happened back in the earlier seasons.

The ending was fantastic, I'm delighted that Jin is still alive, i was actually thinking about him earlier in the episode. And i agree with above, I'm not really like this Ben shit anymore, and he's annoying. Oh and who was shooting Sawyer, Locke and etc on the boat?

Other than that, Good episode I really want to watch the next :(.

S05E04 Top notch of an episode
Even though the flashes that put them in a certain period of time on the island is the wackiest idea ever, Im starting to get used to and liking it. It gives us a chance to "witness" past occurrences that have happened. Really imprest with the ending too

Id like to know a bit more about these nose bleeds though!

Well at first i didn't like the idea of the flashes but the last 2 episodes have been brilliant

Lost is back!!!

Top, top episode :)

Had to wait a while to watch this one due to being busy, but it was worth the wait when we got round to it last night.

Not even going to begin to analyse it as so much went on, but nice bit at the end that I didnt see coming. Wonder when Ben will be on the scene!

And all the 'save the island' thing is interesting - fuck it, I'm going in to analyse...

Will the 2 paths cross do you think? I.e. if the O6 and Ben do get back to the Island - which we assume they will, will Locke get to see his dead body?!

Total headfuck this show!

Oh, finally, Kate gets more beautiful every time she is on screen... amazing woman!

and we all know what happened to her crew..........

I have really got into the time travelling part now, it just seems to make more sense because you get to know more about all the characters that you didn't see much of and why they are there ect

Superb episode.
It's very hard to find superlatives with such a "great" start.
Lets' get started !

9/10

Great episode, I didnt think it was going to live up to last weeks episode but it was just as good if anything maybe better.

I wonder Hawkings's way of just sending a few of them back instead of all of them will be

Have we seen that place where the Smoke Monster disappeared to before with the rocks and hieroglyphics ?

Anyone else have a feeling Locke is still alive ? (Remember that couple that got buried alive, they were presumed dead because of the insect bite when actual they were just paralised for some time)
