i have no problems with future foreigner manager like AVB...

but i would let AVB prove something on european stage with Porto...there has been many of this one season wonders managers also in premier league in past we were all linked..remember Hull´s Phil Brown?..

Well, he's doing a magnificent job in Europa League, but I get what you were talking about, you meant CL material.

By the way, today he has been linked with Chelsea. Apparently Roman is looking to "Mourinho" again. OMG, yesterday was Juventus, the day before was Pool, today is Chelski so who's tomorrow? :LOL:

AVB is a better manager imo but Dalglish is the right "fit" for Liverpool, just like I think Pep isnt one of the best coaches he's a perfect fit for Barcelona and I think the same for Dalgish. He has the respect of everyone at the club automatically which makes his task a lot easier. Comolli will bring in the players anyway so Dalglish being the "motivator" makes perfect sense,the very least give him the whole of next season.

What´s to agree with that? Whole squad we have now except Suarez, Konchesky, Poulsen, Carroll and Joe Cole are Rafa´s playes ...

not to mention whole academy and Aquilani, Insua and Ayala on loan...this is Rafa´s squad.

Except Gerrard and Carragher all came to first team under Benitez.

I dont consider this is Rafa squad, because Mascherano, Aquilani and Torres were going to be with Gerrard and Reina the key players of the squad if Rafa stayed here (well, Mascherano was probably going to leave anyway and that is why Rafa has been scouting Meireles for so long).
The squad that he inhereted in January was Hodgson ´s squad, not Rafa, the tumor made enough chances in the squad to make it his own.
The other thing I agree with Misfit view, is that you have a high tendency to overrate youngsters.

Well..Flanagan is young, obviously, but there is big difference in him and others before like Darby, etc.. Flanagan proves his quality in 3 full matches against City, Arsenal, WBA and he didn´t make any major mistake, in fact he was fantastic...that´s not overrating, that´s saying true, that we might have a future right back in him...the fact Spearing and Robinson play great as well is proving they will get more and more chances by Kenny i think..

i agree with liverbird about the youngsters tbh, if a local kid comes in and has a couple of good games loads of people are suddenly convinced he's going to be world class, yet if a foreign player comes in and has a couple of good games all you hear is that it's a honeymoon period and he could end up shit.

Spearing has looked good a couple of times lately, but i still don't think he'll make it at Liverpool. He's a decent little player, but no better than Lucas or Meireles and so when Gerrard's fit he won't play imo.

I agree that they performances have been encouraging and they have looked as players with potential but there is a big gap between saying that and saying that they have been world class or that they force the way out of other players that really are world class.

I said his performances lately were world class, that´s why he started in first 11...

Poor 1st half. Really stopped playing after the goal. Fortunatly started playing again in the 2nd and finished them off. Will be interesting to see how they cope being in the driving seat now, atleast form-wise.

yeah, it was not the best football, but this is what we need, win also if we don´t play our best.. i thought Johnson was realy good today..hope we won´t sell him :)

Not realy much to pick from our performance...this was tipical, defence was rock solid, Spearing confident and show some great passes...Lucas played very good as always... i thought it was not the best game for Meireles in first half..but also Suarez could have created or finished some situations a lot better...yet he scored, wich is important for a striker..

Fulham will be a lot thougher match i think..

Werent you just saying a few days ago that we should sell him because Kelly is much better than him and we also have Flanagan ?

yes i was, what´s your point? I still think he is luxury player to have when Kelly is fit, and if we sign a LB in summer..
