This whole Torres leaving storry gets on my nervs now, i refuse to belive this.. from what he said in not so short past, from how he treated fans here.. i simply dont belive he want to go... but if he does, we move on..

I liked him a lot at the WC, but i'm not sure if he's good enough to be honest.
Time will tell.
I hope he does well because football needs a competitive Liverpool team.

Seems to be a lot of people, including journalists with good sources, saying Torres hasn't actually issued a written request but has verbally contacted the club and does want to speak to Chelsea now.

In which case, cya. The club is bigger than Torres, regardless. And the money from his sale would help the club immensely. But no thanks to £40m and Sturridge, the straight £50m please.

mate this don´t make sence, i would understand him to want out if he want biger challenge for titles, but then again, he was the one who said he stands to his contract, he would look a fool breaking this promisses he said to LFC TV some weeks ago..

well something must have changed....
it is possible he wanted to wait to see who we would sign in January...
and seeing that we were taking so long to make signings....who knows?
maybe he heard of Chelsea's interest and decided enough was enough...

It's crap....I wish he would have done this earlier....or in the summer...
now we have no time to buy any more players....

i find the timing of the Suarez deal...and Torres wanting to leave
a bit intriguing...

Does anyone here think that FSG were lowballing trying to get a cheap
deal...but when Torres said he wanted to leave....
they suddenly decided to increase the Suarez offer...
and show Torres that they mean business...

Was'nt one of the main reasons he wanted to come here
being the spanish players...

Don't understand why Torres had to do this so late...

I dunno. As soon as I saw how much you paid for Suarez, the first thing that came to mind was "I bet that's cuz he's gonna be funded by the sale of Torres".

this, to be honest i dont understand anything now, why this request now? what we do with Suarez deal if this came out...i lost my belief in loayality.. something i thought he has... i don´t want us to keep him in the club like United did with Rooney in simillar position.. if he want to go, sell him for his buyout prize, but 2 days to transfer window end? this is just ridicilous...

For what it's worth, and since I'm the only semi-regular Chelsea fan on here, I think he's staying.
There's no way we'll make a deal in 3 days not to mention one as big as Torres would require.
It could require a shrek-like U-turn but he'll stay.

Don't want him either tbh

Ronaldo and Carvalho were also persuaded to stay for another season before being allowed to move.

I would not want a player in the team that behaves like for example Rooney did... i was quite suprised that SAF was so desperate to keep him after his statements... i belive this is the start of end for Torres in LFC shirt...

I understand what Pipa is saying. LFC is bigger than anyone and have their own pride. Just sell and get someone better (e.g. Llorente - maybe this is personal as I don't like Torres and love Llorente).

The circumstances surrounding Torres are more in line with Ronaldo's departure, rather than the Rooney debacle.

I dont want him to play for us if he don´t want, if he does this two days before end of transfer window + not shure if Suarez deal is going to be reality..

Hopefully we get a lot of money for him..

I´m old enought to understand this, my childhod hero Owen is wearing United shirt now, but i realy thought Fernando is different and want to help the club with his goals..

There is no option. He won't move to Barça or Madrid due his 'Atleti' past. Don't see him in Italy either nor at Old Trafford. City? Yeah might be but Chelsea sounds more plausible.

Mate if you think football or supporting a club is all about trophys then i feel sorry for you.. It is about a lot more than winning, its about looses also, especialy Liverpool football club is about more than winning trophys in past or present.. its a family, tradition, religion... Everthing this club achieved they achieved through years of hard work, not about being bought by a milionaire and pretending they are big club that in reality is not..

Being football player is not just being desperate for trophys, there is lot´s of great players in past who stayed in smaller clubs and were legends, Football is about being professional, a rolemodel for kids, a symbol of the town when you represent...it used to be like this in past..

I notice you as Barca supporter, right? Were you supporting them in 2001 when Figo moved to Real madrid? would you then like to read from Real Madrid supporter the words you just written here?

Think about it..

Torres its an Atletico fan and if he left his beloved club its to achieve tittles. I don't think he's enjoying in the actual pool.

waiting for Dalglish to put his stamp on the squad...

Hopefully we have Suarez...

What a traitor. This is not the moment to set a transfer request. If he wanted to leave so badly he should have said it at the beginning of the month. Not now that he leaves us two days to spend the money.
