Liverpool Thread

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

Apart from goal scoring Inzaghi is nothing special too.
Same goes for Gerd Muller.

Thing is Inzaghi has a always had a good level of technique, same with Muller, especially when it came to shooting from awkward angles, volleys etc.. They are also a constant nuisance for defenses.

You as well as i do, Inzaghi is a fox in the box player, who not only works well with his teammates, who have good overall movement around the box and the ability to score half chances.

Maybe you should read the FIFA rules of football.
Then you will see somewhere that the team that scores most goals wins the match.
Besides that i wonder where you saw a lot of Lukaku? Unless you live in Belgium or are a talent scout, you can't have seen a lot about Lukaku.

I bet on a lot of football these days and tend to catch a lot of Anderlect on bet365, not only that Europa League matches etc..

Lukuku is nothing more than a bulldozer! There is nothing special about this bulldozer, he hit puberty early, so what? If he was 23 and scored the same amount he would not receive the quarter of the amount of hype hes getting, and when you consider, most players on average play football at a top, professional level for about 14 years, he's not destined to hit his peak at age 26, he will most likely hit it early at say 22!

The fact he's 17 would work if he was stick and they you had to factor in when he's 21-22 he will be able to cope better physically, but he's like 6'4, built like a middleweight, he hit puberty early, and if people are gullible enough to believe he's the next Drogba that's their loss.

People are going on a if he's destined to be the best striker int he world one day, get real!

I see him week in week out and i too have my doubts if he can live up to the hype, but like i said earlier, it's a little bit early to write him of. The kid is 17 years old.

Basically to clarify, the guy will most likely move to a better league, but the guys never going to be a top, world class striker, I'd say maybe a decent Ligue 1 player or maybe one of those mercurial strikers who hang around the lower Premeirleague Championship sides but the next Drogba? Not going to happen.

Whats happening to the game of football where we class a bulldozer as the next top world talent :CONFUSE: .

But of course you only do it to wind us up and we are so stupid to react...so i guess, you win.

I have strong opinions! If i offend anyone, suck it up, this is football debate

Are you gay? You wouldn't hit that?

Apparently we're looking at/talking to a few strikers. Negredo is still an option that we're considering.

It would be a quite good addition for Reds if Suarez's deal is done.

Negredo and Suarez! That's what I'm fucking talking about!:BOP::BOP::BOP:

Suarez would be great for you!

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

Did you guys know that "our" Kim Clijster's dad used to be a professional football player. He was once player of the year, played for the national team that played the WC semi-finals in 86 and he won an EC with KV Mechelen (in 1988 i think).

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

Good performance so far, some of the football has been superb. Good to see the midfielders getting involved in attacks so much.

Ref needs to get a grip of Wolves and their "hard-working" ethics though. Maxi and Torres are going to be bruised all over tomorrow already, any more and there's going to be an injury.

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

lol amazing game today...this is how we can play, hoping for new players and we might get something out of this season...

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

Superb goal by Raul, who had a world class game for us today overall.

And that is how we should've been playing all season, Roy.

Loved the movement again, the midfielders getting into goalscoring positions, a hunger about the team and working well together. Lots of flair, players looked like they actually wanted the ball rather than under Roy when nobody wanted anything to do with the ball.

Such a joy to see us playing like this again :D

31 passes for the third goal.

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

Managed to catch the last 30min, as the tv signal conked out in the neighbourhood just as they were to kick off! Team were counter attacking well and could have scored more, Shelvey had a great chance. 3rd goal was excellent, keeping possesion from the corner of Wolves' half, back to Reina and then back forward again all with decent small passing triangles.

Hopefully the team can push on in midweek against Fulham. Play pattern has very much changed which is great to see.

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

I knew Liverpool would win, i was sure of it, saw way too many punters on that Punterslounge site backing Wolves, always happens this :)

I watched the first 20 minutes, Liverpool looked better and i assured they would win, only just got back from football now and the result didn't surprise me.

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

I've heard that Adam has told Blackpool that he wants to join Liverpool and doesn't care about the wage offered, he just wants to play at Anfield. Good to hear that kinda attitude (if it's true).

He also took a wonder around Bloomfield Road at the end of their game and applauded all four stands on his own, usually a sign of a player on his way out.

Not sure where he'd get in with the midfield of Gerrard, Lucas and Meireles though.

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

I dont know what other think but Adam would be amazing for us imo, he is the kind of player with great spirit, drive and willing to go forward, great physique and also motivator on field with good passing and most of all fighter... just we have problem in midfield there is already Meireles plaing...

with Gerrard back and possible Adam transfer, we might play diamond?

-------------- Lucas -------------

Meireles --------------- Adam ----

------------ Gerrard -------------

with current form neither Raul - Lucas deserve the bench...while Gerrard is starting for shure..

i would be delighted if we have Adam in squad!

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

Wasn't that bothered about the Adam rumours as I regarded him as a senior player having a good season as an unknown. The same thing happens every season. However didn't realise he is only 25 y.o., thought he was late 20-ties early 30-ties. For 4,5mil it's worth a gamble as his game isn't about speed or trickery but about passing and vision.

As for the midfield set-up, I would expect a rotation between the 4 of them. Gerrard gets injured a lot anyway and Meireles is showing he has the ability to do a good job from there aswell. Depending on the opposition you could have a more defense, counter attacking team with Lucas, or a more attacking, possesion based team with Adam. With Shelvey coming on or filling in during the season.

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

he only looks older than he is + he is Scotland NT player..

hope we do a deal including giving them Poulsen in exchainge or someone like Shelvey - Spearing on loan...

Adam i think won´t turn LFC down... and i´m shure he already agreed to move.

Totally agree....I would want a player like Adam....he's got real
desire to want to play for us....and good passing/skill/spirit....
he could become a great squad player.....and eventually replace
the likes of Gerrard...

I hope we build on this win....and beat Fulham and Stoke at home...
we are definitely going in the right direction....

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

He's not very mobile at all. Needs the midfield to be built around him to get the best out of him.

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

Dalglish had a good eye for midfielders in the past...
McMahon...Molby...Houghton...Barnes...

Adam seems to be that kind especially a mix of McMahon and Molby
great passing and desire to win...

from what i saw Adam he can play anywhere in mdfield, even AM..he is very mobile and runs a lot imo.. dont know but that´s how i see him.. a dynamo in midfield :D he also could score goals more than Alonso for example..

Re: Liverpool Thread(King Kenny!!)

He had his shortcomings, but he like Kenny loves the club
and tried his best....he gave us some terrific years...
and will always be in the hearts of the fans...

He will always be blamed in the media and by most of
the EPL managers...they all love to blame him for the "squad"
when they ignore all the good he did....including Torres, Reina,
Alonso, Masch, Agger, and the academy...which Kenny lays the credit
to Rafa...

Funny how he says that it was Purslow and Hodgson who signed
7 players and they can't blame him for everything especially
this season..

It is amazing how Torres is now playing so much better under Kenny
and Kuyt said this..

Kuyt has revealed that the new training methods and style of Kenny Dalglish and new head coach Steve Clarke are loved by the players.

Kuyt: “It comes close to the Dutch style. *Playing with early pressure on the opponents and a passing game with the ball low on the ground. Not all those long balls anymore.

“Dalglish and Clarke have this *vision: if you have Torres and Gerrard in the team, we will be stronger against 80 per cent of the *opponents when we put the *pressure on them in their own half.”

The combination of *Dalglish and Clarke is a *really good one. Clarke has come in from outside the club.

He has the same role as he had earlier with Mourinho at Chelsea. Under Clarke we now do totally different training sessions. We do a lot of positional play in small spaces.

“And while Clarke is *doing sessions with us, Dalglish will talk all the stress away from the players.

“He is a living legend here. He has the charisma, the experience and the *confidence to create peace. He also has a fabulous *connection with the fans. They love him here.

“I could not believe it the first time he went out on the pitch against Everton, eleven years since he last coached a team.

“The noise at Anfield was incredible. With Dalglish the atmosphere at the club is changing.”
