Liverpool Thread

Re: Liverpool Thread

I said that to Pipa not you Tik, whats the thanks for? :SS

Fair play Mathero, you're right. I've either misheard a commentator say that or he was talking out of his arse but the point still stands. Carroll isn't a Newcastle legend for going down to the Championship with them as Pipa implied, infact he's not even a Newcastle legend at all (yet).

Re: Liverpool Thread

I'd like to thanks my fans for getting me where I am today, I couldn't have done it without you!

Re: Liverpool Thread

Didn't Stevie himself say that it was him but that his uncle made him get the picture taken?

I know for a fact that Gerrard has said in the past that he had both Liverpool and Everton kits as a kid and didn't really know anything about football til he was about 10 when he decided he was a Liverpool fan.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Not heard that before, only thing I've heard (a lot) is that it's not actually him.

Re: Liverpool Thread

For 4 weeks, has he ever been injured before?! Will be interesting to see how the team plays with hopefully a fast player on the right.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Looking foward to seeing today Torres in the stadium. What a pitty Xabi Alonso is not going to start from the beginning, I hope he plays in the second half, because in the stadium is where you really appreciate the quality of a player. There a lot of things that you can only see when you are in the stadium.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Why?! Was the kid shy or did he just ignore Stevie and shake hands with others? Hahahha

Re: Liverpool Thread

That Kid above is definetly Stevie...but anyway...not important who you support as kid as long as you perform and give anything for the club who is your current employer...

we would be surprised how many players imo were supporting the rival teams when growing up..but then again, Stevie played from young age for Liverpool..and

if you think about Rooney..........

Re: Liverpool Thread

What about him?

He transfered to Manchester from Everton in the age he knew that Everton would build his future on him...so it is better as one photo of Gerrard not knowing what he is doing anyway...compared to chainge the club who give you chance, on first oportunity...

Re: Liverpool Thread

He's not done too badly at United though has he?

He has done wonderfull at United but that was not my point anyway...

i was comparing 16 yo Rooney - Everton boy to 7-8 yo Gerrard on that photo...

Gerrard then did not knew what he is doing...but Rooney knew...

Yeah sorry I misunderstood what you meant, fair enough.

Still, if Rooney was a Liverpool fan playing for Liverpool or an Arsenal fan at Arsenal, he wouldn't have left. Everton are not as big a club and he needed to move clubs to further his career. It's easier to be loyal to a big club. You can't say he would have turned out much better if he'd rejected United and stayed at Everton to develop.

We signed him at 18 by the way, not 16.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Reina is starting this season quite well. That goal against Arsenal, not this. Looking forward for his consistency.

Re: Liverpool Thread

yes !It could happen but all 3 goals ...I never seen Reina in such disarray. Messi`s was brilliant on his part but still Reina doesn`t get many chances at gol for country.

@ jumbo hehe

Re: Liverpool Thread

Poor Pepe, and all the argentinians assholes in the stadium were insulting Pepe and asking for Casillas.
The condition of the pitch was deplorable, Pepe had no fault.

Argentina were on another planet today Pepe was in shambles by the 15 min mark w/ 2 brilliant technical goals. His spirit was down. Messi raped Spain`s back line and kissing his badge was brilliant . You don`t get many opportunity to shine for Spain as a GK. Pepe couldn`t deal w/ the 1v1 and all goals were 1v1s.

I even saw Fab trying to take out Messi :SMUG: imagine that! :BRMM:
