Surely if you don't go through (for the record I still think you will) it'll mean you can properly focus on the league? Isn't that the priority anyway?

Yeah that will be one of two positives, the other being able to play the youngsters in europe as it's nothing more then a carling cup comp imo. Although I'm worried we would need to go on a decent run, play 1st teamers, just to earn some money :(

As for qualifying, a 3 goal difference would be needed to be second (assuming Lyon manage a draw and we beat Debrecen). With Gerrard out and Torres likely to get worse and worse it's a very tough proposition.

It just really seems a Liverpool thing to do - be on the brink like this, get all of the press and then sneak it out, with Lyon beating Fiorentina then you guys humping them at Anfield. Guess time will tell.

Still stupid to think about replacing Rafa. There's no one out there better, and the whole team is now centred around him (and staff). It would require a full overhaul.

I don't if it's the Europa League, I'd want to fucking win it. Be nice to be the first team to win it in it's new format, and atleast we'd have won something, given that we've been trophyless for 3 seasons.

I fucking pray that Babel's given a chance on the right, instead of Dirk. Dirk's been awful, and Babel, despite being shite in the starts this season, has talent, no doubt. Just give him a run of games like Yossi, and see how it turns out. 'Cos Dirk's useless at the moment.

Knowing Rafa's love for Kuyt, doubt it's going to happen.

I think Kuyt for you lot is a bit like Park for us. Watching, week in week out, we just don't get why they start over more talented players. But the manager loves something about them. Maybe it's the whole Nicky Butt (back when he didn't suck) argument - better to have a consistent 7/10 player than one that can be a 9 or a 3.

He seems to have forgotten that he also has a left foot. The amount of times he's tried ridiculous flicks with his right instead of just passing it with his left. Actually atm he seems to do everthing only on his right.
