I thought he might've got some time last night actually but he didn't play. I haven't seen him play yet, the only thing I really know is that is hugely rated by Benitez.

Depends. The kid has got loads and loads of talent, but due to injuries he has been a tad inconsistent last season.
Roma need to cash in and I think a fit Aquilani is an asset to any team. Reads the play, has vista, stamina and a good shot and pass.
Only thing I find a bit iffy is his positioning, but Rafa will fix that.
Seems like a perfect fit for a team as Pool though.

I think Aquilani would be a good signing but if he's gotta fill in for Xabi straight away it might be risky as he may not take to the league for a couple of months. The other problem with Aquilani is that his eyes are too close together.

alonso is going to madrid and we possibly will sign aquilani but i would have prefer de rossi, as hes more complete and have more confidence in what hes doing than aquilani.

to be fair he hasn't exactly played a lot of football in the last year has he?

Oh and did anyone notice Alonso clinging to his phone all evening yesterday. I'm afraid he's off!

I want at least 30m, 25m isnt enough.

Alonso has got the same PR guy as Ronaldo by the sounds of the quotes he gave to that Spanish paper.

apparently we have agreed a fee of 15m for Aquilani....

So another 15m of the 30m for Alonso to go on an attacker?

I heard a whisper from a Scouse at work who's husband knows a few in the know people..... Apparently, someone with the surname Villa has enrolled at the same nursery that Reina, Arbeloa and Alonso's kids go to... although Alonso's isn't going back next year.....
