Liverpool Thread

Re: Liverpool Thread

Agger is piping off to the press about his contract (again).

Rafa needs to get him on a leash here. Either he signs a contract this Summer or get rid. He's a quality player but he's acting like an idiot with all these interviews and comments.

Re: Liverpool Thread

I cant believe Skrtl starts ahead of Agger. He's overrated I think, playing for Liverpool covers up his inadequacies. Agger is potentially a very very good player.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Skrtel is a quality player in my opinion. Gets stuck in and gets in for headers. Not afraid of bringing the ball out and passing it along the ground either.

Re: Liverpool Thread

yeah hes been playing great for you guys, i just caught both his international games and he didnt play very well.

Re: Liverpool Thread

He had a bit of mare for his country this past week.

I can only recall two/three bad games for Liverpool. For the rest? Hasn't put a foot wrong, can deal with the strongest of strikers, is a brilliant tackler (sliding and standing), is comftable on the ball, can pass, can bring it forward.

Agger is technically more gifted, is more of a goal threat, can pass and is outstanding bringing the ball forward, but he isn't as quick, strong or as good in the air as Skrtel IMO. And that is what tips it in Skrtels favour. Aggers also had major injury/personel. problems this year

Ideally I'd rather play both but Carra just keeps going on and on and doesn't look like being over the hill. And Carra just isn't suited to play at RB, he is solid there defending a flank, but quicker players will make breathroughs, and his attacking threat from Rb is virtually non-existant.

Last time I checked the score in the 78th minute it was 0-0. I don't have Setanta but my Mum's house does. Went there just now turned on the tele...

All I see is Benayoun take a touch smash it in and the whole Liverpool team start going crazy. turn it off. whisper fuck off. dont even say bye and leave. :((

:D

Have had it happen the same way many a time.

Damn it feels sweet when your team does it though.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Deserved more than that one goal, can't believe how many times we hit the woodwork!

Bennett is a tit, how can he pull play back when we had the clear advantage with Torres through from Reina's kick? Bloody Manc.

Still can't see Utd slipping up but we're putting pressure on and it's great to finally be challenging up there at this time of the season :D

Sounds familiar, even when we were battling for 4th/5th, and you lot scored a late winner.

It is the best feeling in the world when it goes your way like that. That was probably THE most frustrating game I ever watched, considering its importance (the win might not mean anything in the scheme or things, you have two in hand, but not drawing meant everything)

Hitting the post five time and all the other agonisingly close efforts on goal, coupled with my stream stuttering and buffering its nuts off.....then the goal........the whole street must have heard.

Alonso- solid if unspectacular.
Dossena- Suprisingly potent in attack
Insua- Oh my, Aurelio has competition for sure. Hes only what...19? He showed it in the reserves for ages and for the few games hes played this season, Bolton, Arsenal, today etc he's been immense.

Kuyt- poor today despite two goals midweek
Gerrard- Didnt get in the game tnh, provided drive in the 2nd half though
Torres, should have scored, created some good chances, looked tired again.
Lucas- very solid game.

Babel and Benayoun really did the business in the 2nd half IMO.

Re: Liverpool Thread

I think Heskey's absence is a bigger blow for Villa than Berba's absence. So, although tight, MU to nick it 1-0 from Ronaldo.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Your goal yesterday reminded me laods of Ronaldo's in that same stadium, two years ago. I think his was the 88th minute, but still, a 0-0 that looked stuck, and then came unstuck.

I'm beginning to think things are going to fall your way this year.

Re: Liverpool Thread

fuck ronaldo FML

Well got the Ronaldo goal right, but .. Great game overall at OT, that's what 17 year old's are for, they don't know their place and time to try something as ridiculous as that, and somehow pulled it off.
