Liverpool Thread

Re: Liverpool Thread

edit: Torres said earlyer that he is happy in LFC despite playing only Europe league next season..and he will stay even if Rafa goes eventually.. he signed for 6 years..and all he need is to stay fit..+ have a partner to prevent the injurys and all defenders focusing on him..

all things said in media are 99% bullshit.. especialy those without direct quotes etc..

Maybe Stevie thinks the same?

Re: Liverpool Thread

I just watched Football First and Aquilani was brilliant. I know it was only Burnley but I thought he looked class.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Well, unfortunately, I guess we are all sure that one of our best players aint going to play against you, and not because he is injured.

Correct me if i am wrong as i have only seen the highlights of the match, but didnt aqua start today? if so what more do you want? i thought aqua did a nice assist today when he slipped over on his arse and nudged the ball into gerrards path lol, also lucas if i am correct came off the bench and provided a class lobbed pass for gerrards second, but you were never gonna shout about that one were you? seriously though aqua should of played a pretty decent game as i noticed he got an "8" rating in the stats.Wish i could have caught the whole match.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Everytime I have seen Aquaman play he has looked a class above everyone else. He is forward thinking and has excellent technique. Shame he has a dickhead manager not allowing him to express himself enough.

I remember speaking to the cleaner at my old place, she is a regular in the kop. She said Warnock would have been some player for LFC, but everytime he got a game under rafa, he used to get shouted at for passing the half way line.

He is a dickhead, I dont know why I like him, but I do. Just wish he didnt make dickhead decisions 70% of the time.

Re: Liverpool Thread

kevano wtf is in your avatar? :D

i think this dickhead manager is not as dickhead..only some fans not understanding our situation as i see..

if he was dickhead, why would Juve want to pay him that much? :D

and..Looks like LFC is about to sing a very good player for reserves..

this deal is probably going trough..wich i am excited about..

Nah he'll definitely get injured,he can't survive 3 football games in a week :P

Re: Liverpool Thread

Pretty good signing, heard his name a lot and supposed to be a real talent.

oh man common, are you Aquilani fan or LFC fan...?

Clearly Aquilani is pissed off about the situation and he will want to go away in summer..just like this picture tells...

he signed for long and Rafa will play him more i am shure..

just after whole life plaing in Italy..you want him to be absolutly best and playing all matches immediately? Some players dont need to aclimate, like Nando..but some need time and...maybe some will never aclimate..

Dude, the fact we arent playing the Champions League next season has a lot to do with the fact that Benitez was so stubborn with Lucas-Mascherano partner and didnt give Aquilani oportunities. If he had started all the matchs he could have, not only now he would be at his best, but also we would possibly be 4th or even 3th.
It is clear that we are a completely different team with Aqua in the pitch.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Rafa had cheaper players he wanted as replacement of Xabi...

Barry or Cattermole.. but as all know, if an english team buys players, the prize is high or going high..

Keane was shit..though...he was expensive but did not managed to play good..and rumours are that he was not wanted by Rafa ..but more by Gillet..

Aquiliani has all to be better than Xabi..and if he continue like today, he will be in first 11 and important member of the team in near future..

Of course I am Liverpool fan. When I started to support Liverpool, maybe Aquilani was in Roma youth I guess.
If you read my posts carefully, you would find out, that Im not complaining with his level (he has been amazing, even though Rafa never gave him the oportunity to play more than 3 matchs in a row).
Lets hope for our good that he stays next season. He is the best Gerrard replacement in the market.

i saw Aquilani playing for us and he was sometimes good, technically he is great but passing in this matches was awfull..

and you can not compare playing agains big teams and Burnley..

i think he will be plaing more but our current problems are not the players, wich we also need to buy few to manage the challenge...

offcourse he will stay, he signed for more than one year and he playes good..only sometimes the reason why a player is not playing is other than we think... so abusing our manager is not rigt always..

imagine Nando being fit whole season..... or Skrtel, Johnson, Bennayoun...

Yes sure, his passing was awful. You should ask Torres and Maxi about that.

Re: Liverpool Thread

look i know nobody will be ever satisfied with Rafa but i see in him a person that tries to do whatever in this shit situation we have with owners and injurys to manage us win something this season..and as he proved manytimes in past he knows how to give us finals of competitions and prepeare team for big matches..so i am shure Aquilani time will come..

Re: Liverpool Thread

the point to be made here is that he CAN play against the physical bully boys of the league, and he CAN play away from home.

He has to be a more permenant fixture in the side from now on.

And how I wish Maxi could play in the Europa League :(

Hes been outstanding, and that goal was coming.

Re: Liverpool Thread

man, i must be on everyone's ignore list in this thread :?
the only one who bothered answering my questions isn't even a liverpool fan (btw, thanks bebo).

I dont think anyone ignored you really mate, but our thoughts on Rafa leaving have been posted in here a good few times already and it's just like going over old ground to post it again I guess?

but i didn't ask your (by yours i mean "liverpool fans") thoughts on rafa, mate (i have my own ideas on this concern). my question was if u feel the majority of the fans in liverpool would like rafa to leave or stay. :))

Just to stop you feeling left out :P I would say that, in my opinion, a lot of people are very confused about even their own thoughts on this.

I for one am not sure it'd be for the best if Rafa left but then this season has been horrid and I don't want another where we are beaten (at least) 18 times and have such a poor away record.

If Rafa is able to see the error of his ways and make the necessary changes (more positivity when away from home for example and to stop playing 2 DM's at home to virtually EVERY team for example) then it would probably be for the best (that he stays).

If he does everything the same next season on the basis that this year was a "one-off" then it's adios from me.

Unless we bring in another top rate manager (i.e Mourinho) then he should stay but on the premise above.

On other forums that I read, the general feeling is very mixed - if you want to gauge opinion then listen out for the "Rafa, Rafael" song at games - it's sung less and less often and by less people with almost every game.
