Liverpool Thread

Re: Liverpool Thread

Best player in the Premiership right now IMO.

We'll have to see about that

Nevertheless Torres is pure quality.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Gonna be a great battle for the golden boot this season, with Torres, Rooney and Drogba setting the pace so far, and guys like Bent, Defoe, Keane, Saha and Adebayor just behind.

I think that's probably Arsenal's biggest weakness so far, RvP hasn't set the pace yet but the other big three's main strikers have started very well.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Arsenal are still scoring plenty of goals though from different players which is more important, if Torres/Rooney/Drogba get injured it'd be a bigger blow for their respective teams than it would be for Arsenal if RvP did.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Kuyt and Yossi already have 3 goals each. Gerrard and Johnson have 2 each.

But then we're scoring a lot of goals these days.

Our defense is a HUGE problem. Can't wait for Agger to be back. Need a bit of calm back there.

Re: Liverpool Thread

I agree abhishek i think were missing sami, i could see his presence for a few games suring us up at the back. But when agger and aquaman are in our team will have abit more "DEPTH" that were currently lacking

Re: Liverpool Thread

Will be interesting to see how well you guys do in the domestic cups, after doing utter shit in them last season.

very good point it`s good to have an English Ben or lo zio here. Intellectual posting is good every once awhile ;)

Yeah, I see what you mean, I suppose Arsenal's situation is similar to the one we had when Ruud left.

Inevitably, other players will step up and replace Adebayor's goal scoring output.

I suppose I also overlooked the fact Eduardo is fully fit again, which is another plus for Arse fans.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Yep Arsenal have never struggled to score, their problem is keeping them out.

When is Aquilani going to make his debut?

Re: Liverpool Thread

Late October me thinks:

Re: Liverpool Thread

Couldnt give a flying fuck, the less influnce Thicks and Gillete have, the better.

Its not confirmed, people saying its just the signing of an agreement for Liverpool football academies in the Middle East.

Dont forget Babel's double and the back heel lob flick:WORSHIP:

Re: Liverpool Thread

That guy has been linked to us for a while hasn't he?

Not sure how willing H&G will be to sell and leave themselves with 25% each while the Prince has 50%.

Re: Liverpool Thread

You think with all that money, he would get a stylist FFS!!!
Velvet Jacket, Striped suit and spotted tie and in Brown too,Check out the cuban heels too, mind you look what the yank has on his feet looks like he should have callipers on his legs with them bad boys on.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Bloomberg reporting a 350m deal for 50% is close. Interesting times.

With the new sponsorship deal, Gillete/Hicks selling his Montreal club for about 300 odd million, potentially a stadium naming rights deal for the new ground and then this, are things on the up financially? Maybe

Ian Ayre certainly seems to have a bit of vision. Expanding the brand in Asia and the ME, developing more links with clubs and establishing academies around the world. Never would have happened under Moores and Coco

Re: Liverpool Thread

:D Not that again...........

Hmmmm, Gerrard gets a halo over his head at one point, he's such a good lad.......and the lifting of the CL trophy looks more like Xabi.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Gerrard wasn't a bluenose, no. It was his cousin that you see in all of the photos. I was in the same year as him in school, I can assure you he was a red then.

One day people will learn.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Wait, they have Stevie G with a halo? Seriously? Like, Angelic, close to God halo?

Anytime you find yourself sharing a 'self-defence' argument with Craig Bellamy, you know you're no angel.
