Deschamps has been getting a lot of stick from fans(who can't get over Lippi..), but wrongfully so. I really hope we stick to him, he's a fresh and clever cloach. Continuity is very important, especially for newly promoted teams. I also think juventus owe him at least this, seeing as how he has taken a scandalized, demoted, point deducted and broken team to a commanding lead.
Secco insists anyway that he is keeping DD and that the news about him not having any confidence in Deschamps is nonsense;seeing as he was the one who got him to Turin anyway.

Deschamps is really great.
Too bad that there are rumors that Bojinov maybe leaving.
I think he would be really world class player, he is very good even now and in the future ...just like real world class striker.

Bojinov is too expensive. Deschamps doesn't use him, because we won't buy him. The club consider 6 million for only half of Bojinov too much.

Juventus snatched a controversial last-gasp win thanks to a debatable penalty, as Bologna ended the game with nine men. The Bianconeri had the opportunity to be mathematically promoted this week, although even a victory would’ve meant waiting until Tuesday’s Brescia-Napoli match, while Bologna were in the running for a play-off spot. Legrottaglie pulled out during the warm-up, so Chiellini was redirected to central defence with Balzaretti down the left.
Del Piero had several early efforts well saved and Zebina was booked for simulation as he tried to earn a penalty. Despite being forced into two substitutions in the opening 23 minutes, it was Bologna who took the lead. After Marazzina’s header skimmed the upright, Bellucci sprung the offside trap to place an angled drive past the stranded Buffon. Juve also lost Giannichedda to injury and fought back with a weak Trezeguet header, while Terzi’s fumbled defensive manoeuvre almost let the Frenchman past Antonioli.
The Bianconeri equalised just before half-time, as substitute Zanetti’s long ball forward sent Del Piero clear for a right-foot finish that restored parity between the teams and the two joint top scorers in Serie B. Going into the break only a fantastic Antonioli save kept Bologna in it, prodding a Trezeguet stop and volley off the line with an outstretched foot and parrying Balzaretti’s header from the resulting corner.
Didier Deschamps’ men were more determined in the second half and Manfredini’s challenge prevented Trezeguet from nodding a Zanetti cross into an empty net, then Antonioli blocked Del Piero’s effort, but as time wore on they kept on hitting the Rossoblu brick wall. The visitors focused solely on the counter and went close to restoring their lead with Meghni’s free kick shaving the upright and a couple of dangerous attempts from subsitute Fantini.

“This has been quite an achievement,” said the captain of their return to the top flight despite a nine-point penalty.
“Some have spoken of this year as a nightmare and that is true for many reasons. We lost a member of staff, Romeo, then Alessio and Riccardo.”
The latter two are Alessio Ferramosca and Riccardo Neri, the 17-year-old youth team players who tragically drowned in the lake at the Vinovo training ground on December 15, 2006.
The Bianconeri were demoted to the second tier of Italian football in the Calciopoli trial. Originally their penalty was 30 points, but it was reduced to 17 and then nine on appeal.

btw, being serious, the whole didì situation has been handled very bad.
i perfectly understand didi points, he was right. he has the right to pick the players he considers most useful to his project.
juve management should have been more "clear" with him, when they hired him, and afterall, let's say it, they are wrong.
i really feel for didì, who is a very, very, very good coach and (at least it seems to be) a very, very, very, good person. he didn't deserve it at all.
btw lippi and novellino would be both nice choices
being able to speak italian is not enough to be a coach in italy. u also have to know football (:mrgreen: ). To be a professional coach here in italy, u have to follow a "school" and get a license..... and i guess it would be very hard for neil to pass the final test :mrgreen:

I'm very sad for DD, feels like a betrayal. I was really angry about this yesterday.
Looking at it from a wider perspective today though, it was his own mistake to go public about his discontent of the club's transfer targets. Then and there, it was destined to end badly. I can't help but feel the board wanted Lippi all along though and something had to give. This gave the board an opening and neither DD nor the board were ready give in. I want to hear from Secco himself though, before crucifying him.
Not so sure about Novellino as a replacement.
I hate going back to the past and I think Lippi's time at juventus was done with, but (sadly?) I think he is the best option now to bring some peace and structure.
All the best to Deschamps, legend in every sense of the word.

Apparently he doesn't even earn half as much as the other big players(Buffon, Nedved, Trez, DP)do. Camo's agent doesn't ask as much as these players, but at least something more in the direction of these players.

The Frenchman is renegotiating his contract, which expires in 2008, but caused controversy during this afternoon’s 3-2 Serie B defeat to Spezia.
When scoring his 15th goal of the season, he celebrated with an offensive gesture to the President in the stands, making the Italian signal for ‘15’ and then ‘I’m out of here.’
“This club does not respect me. They made a proposal that made me understand they have already made other choices,” said Trezeguet to the Press after the Serie B trophy presentation.
Since joining in 2000, the former Monaco man has become Juve’s all-time top foreign scorer with 140 goals.
“I have done what Didier Deschamps asked of me: 15 goals. I was here for seven years and in that time earned the trust of over 14 million fans all over the world, plus the confidence of my teammates.
“Unfortunately, the club has a different viewpoint to mine, so I will leave and take my 140 goals with me, safe in the knowledge I have always given my contribution.
“There is no margin for negotiation now. If they had just told me I wasn’t wanted that would have been better than offering me a ridiculous contract. Perhaps someone has doubts over my abilities. I wanted to carry on with Juve, but the club doesn’t want me.”
This was a day of goodbyes at the Stadio Olimpico in Turin, as the Bianconeri celebrate winning the title and earning promotion, but there were emotional scenes with Trezeguet singled out for embraces and applause by his teammates.

There is a row brewing between Juventus and Inter, as the Bianconeri have announced they will not “repeat the Zlatan Ibrahimovic situation” by strengthening their direct rivals.
Juve general manager Jean Claude Blanc reacted angrily to Trezeguet’s actions and that offensive goal celebration.
“As a club we have never made an unacceptable proposal, we are just working to ensure the best for the Bianconeri,” said Blanc.
“We will speak with David. I just want to add that with players who are open to discussion like Buffon, negotiations are easy, but I don’t know how things will go when one door is so obviously closed. Talks should take place at the club, not across the newspapers.”

Inter are always interested in everybody. :lol: :roll: (Even if they have 40 strikers, they don't hesitate to make their interest publicly known or even buy more!)
It still cracks me up when I think about a few years ago when Inter were at the peak of their disgustingness and despite having like 12 Central midfielders (This was the time where they had Stephane Dalmat, Karagounis, Lamouchi, Farinos, Almeyda, etc. etc. etc.) and were still after and buying more! :lol: :roll:
Yeah.. Fiorentina does need a real goal-getter after departure of Luca Toni but I don't know if Trez will end up there. I think right now he's a little hot-headed but maybe there's still, a small chance for things to get better between him and Juve.. after they talk and everyone is more cooled down and logical and not acting out of emotion.
Anyway, I'm very happy to see the legendary Alex Del Piero pick up that award, guys like Buffon extend and Juve earn promotion back to Serie A and am very looking forward to seeing them regularly again.
But I'm also sad about the whole Camoranesi and Trezeguet contract situation not to mention Deschamps leaving. :|

Yeah, the new board isn't exactly faith inspiring. They're making me quite worried about the direction they're taking juve.
About Fiorentina, I think they will stick to Pazzini as Toni's replacement. Trezeguet is beyond their reach anyway, if you ask me.

i really can't understand why juventus is leaving trezegol. How many strikers in europe are as good as him? a few. and how much they cost? a lot. i can't believe that a contract renewal wuold be more expensive than buying huntelaar :roll:
about trezeguet, for sure he won't stay in italy. fiorentina (wisely) chose to give toni's place to pazzini. he's young, he's one of the 5 best "under 25" strikers in europe right now...... and he's already a fiorentina player :mrgreen:
inter could be another option, but after, ibra and vieira, i don't think juve will sell another player to their rivals.
Lyon always showed appreciation for trezeguet.... but honestly i don't think they need another striker... they have fred and benzema (who is just waiting for a chance to show how good he is).... not to mention the unlucky nilmar.
if don fabio will stay at real (and if real will sell robinho) the merengues could be an option, as fabio always liked david.
also barca could sign him, if they will really sell eto'ò (but i don't think this will happen)...

What makes me even feel more sorry for DD and sad about the situation that happened for him at Juve :| is that he left Monaco in bad circumstances if you guys remember as well after having helped the club immensely. :|
So twice now, he's done a good job at two big clubs but had to leave after not seeing eye to eye with the club's board and leaving with a sour taste in his mouth. :|
About Pazzini, we all know how talented he is guys. His potential could be spotted even as early as his teenage years in Atalanta.
But he can't be the real direct replacement for Luca Toni. He may soon start getting a lot of goals in the league (and I think we all expect that to happen one of these years) but he won't be the same aerial threat and presence that Luca was nor as strong or tall. And every single team needs at least one big/tall striker like that unless their playing style is something very unique and special like Barcelona let's say.
Well.. Fiorentina right now doesn't have that big striker anymore. Pazzini isn't like that and Reginaldo and Mutu are no better than him in the air and are the sorta forward who are better with ball at their feet. So I think Fiorentina still needs a big striker and Mr. Prandelli probably knows this. It doesn't have to be a great player like Toni, just someone who offers you that something different. Even a fairly mediocre tall target player like the Albanian, Igli Tare would do.
To be honest, I'm personally waiting for the day when Moratti is dead or too old/ill to be in control anymore! :lol:

There's a guy who knows NOTHING about stability and just how big of a f'n factor that is to the success of any club! Although to be fair, he seems to have slightly improved in this area in recent years at least and not make AS many frequent changes as he used to.
As for Amauri, I wouldn't be that sad if I were a Palermo fan to see him leave actually. Because due to his recent huge increase in reputation and show of quality, if Inter were to buy him, they would pay good money for him and that money can be spent on a less injury prone player but equally as clinical and good. He's good. I don't under-rate him one bit. I like him in fact. But there's not a shortage of strikers in the world who are better or equally as good as him. And some of them are even more experienced, or younger or less injury prone. So, he will be missed if he was to leave but I wouldn't personally be too sad about it as long as a suitable replacement was brought in with that money.
I would be a LOT sadder to see someone like Barzagli or Fabio Simplicio leave because for me, they're a lot less replacable.
So twice now, he's done a good job at two big clubs but had to leave after not seeing eye to eye with the club's board and leaving with a sour taste in his mouth. :|
About Pazzini, we all know how talented he is guys. His potential could be spotted even as early as his teenage years in Atalanta.
But he can't be the real direct replacement for Luca Toni. He may soon start getting a lot of goals in the league (and I think we all expect that to happen one of these years) but he won't be the same aerial threat and presence that Luca was nor as strong or tall. And every single team needs at least one big/tall striker like that unless their playing style is something very unique and special like Barcelona let's say.

Pazzini isn't like that and Reginaldo and Mutu are no better than him in the air and are the sorta forward who are better with ball at their feet. talking about pazzini, u're right. his play isn't toni's play. they're very different, but also fiorentina gameplay changed a lot last year.... let me explain. i realized fiorentina was going to sell luca, when i noticed fiorentina changed their gamplay, last year. until 2 years ago the whole team used "to play for luca"... long crosses, jorgensen's cuts inside... every move of prandelli was thought to help luca to unleash his strenght. last year, with mutu, fiorentina became a new team... they started playing FOOTBALL, luca became just one piece (a great piece) of a big puzzle. Pazzini perfectly fits fiorentina gameplay now.... imo is even better than luca for fiorentina football nowadays. (coz his ability in the box perfectly fits mutu's assisting ability "out of the box").
of course without toni they will loose a lot talking about centimeters and headings.... but how many goals luca scored by headings this season? almost 1\2 of the previous year.
A tare could be useful..... but if they put tare in somebody has to go out.... mutu??? pazzini??? it's important to have a tall striker (it's very important), but when u have pazzini and mutu... u have to line up pazzini and mutu....... (unless u have toni too :mrgreen: ).
diego della valle spent a lot of money on pazzini 3 years ago...(that bastard...... he was "almost" a palermo player those days!:-x ). Now they have to justify that decision by putting him in the starting 11 imo.... and pazzini too has to justify his choice by playing....
here in italy we've got plenty of young talented strikers (not as good as pazzo, btw) who don't play.... thay just warm the bench coz of their coaches weakness (just consider what bianchi did this season, when he finally got the chance to show his real potential)... thank God Prandelli is not weak.. he told that pazzo is a perfect mixture of power, quality, and ability in the box, and he will become one of the best european strikers...... and honestly i feel the same.
EDIT: of course i do know that having a tall striker is not just about scoring a couple of goals by heading per year.... it means having the possibility to let "breathe" the midfield, avoiding the midfielders being under pressure for too much, it means having the possibility to reach the box with long passes, when the game it's almost over and the players are too tired to play with the ball on the ground.
i know it's really hard to play without a tall striker (here in italy we call those kind of fwds "torri", wich means "towers"), but if u already have a "pazzini" in your team, then "the game is worth the candle"

honestly i don't know if that's a good move. i hope juve isn't thinking to replace david with vincenzo, as they're 2 very different players... iaquinta is very good, but he can't do trezegol's job.... and having already del piero and palladino in your team.... i'm not so sure juve really needs iaquinta...
