Juventus Thread

Not Birindelli though. Every Juve supporter is supposed to love Birindelli :D. The perfect subsitute.. I'd much rather sell Pessotto, although he too is good on the bench.
Legro should get a second chance, from the bench ofcourse. He needs to find his brains first though if he wants to perform.
Montero was good in the copa america, although he obviously aged quickly in the last two years and lost has his speed, awareness and agility. Not to mention his awfull season last year, how many red cards did he get ? :l
He is the only defensive general(one who leads the defence) we have at the moment though. The rest are ALL stoppers.

Anway we need some defenders badly. It seems Moggi will only give us one at max. So It should be a real general..

I would have prefered to get two young defenders as well... ..

ok, so we stick with Iuliano, Tudor and Camoranesi going far away from Turin.
fine for me :D

I mean that IF we need money to buy someone, those are the guys we could "sacrifice" with little regrets.
I like Birindelli, but if we get Bonera he becomes useless... and so on for the others.

Not to sure about selling Camoranesi either.. Depends if Olivera continues to play in the "real" games like he has in the pre-season matches or if Nedved really will play on the right.

Such a shame about Tudor, he was so great 2/3 years ago... we even rejected a 15 million offer from man utd for him. Injuries and his everlasting lack of fitness ruined him :(.

P.S. Bonera is hugely overrated imo. I'd rather play Zebina as right back or get someone like Oddo.

Camoranesi playes good 1/4 matches, when you're lucky. that's the problem...
so if we get Jankulovsky... bye bye!
and Appiah was great with Ghana on the right, too.

Tudor has (had?) great potential: physical, heading and good with the ball.
but as you said he's never in good shape.
and when he plays sometimes seems to fall asleep... reminds of me :D
but I never played in serie A!

Is our Ruben Olivera the next football superstar? What do fellow-juve fans think and non-juve fans?
I wasn't expecting that much from him, he had only 1 cap last season on loan at atletico madrid... but hey, he's doing soooooo good :)
he's already better than camoranesi ;)

This is going to be one Long season...

Nah, this will be a GOOD season..
getting Cannavaro, Emerson & Ibrahimovich should booooooooost the team!

FORZA JUVE!!!

Maresca and Miccoli were selled in coownership which means they have fifty fifty hearts... I don't like those transfers it will ruin the game and FIFA should do something about them.

What about selling Maresca and Miccoli?

as the big mick jagger used to cry : u cant always get what u want...
but we bought a youngster (hibra) ,cannavaro who still got 4 years on top and emerson, 28 ys old! Just think about it : is it better,

1) legrottaglie-montero or CANNAVARO-THURAM?
2) tacchinardi-maresca or EMERSON-BLASI?
3) miccoli-del piero or TREZEGUET-HIBRAHIMOVICH?

thaz the point : i want to win the league ,not coppa del nonno

1. Cannavaro and another young defender which we should've bought + Thuram.
2. What about Emerson and Maresca?
3. How about all four of them?

Well, we could've kept this team if we'd have had tons of money, which unfortunetely isnt the case of juve!
I mean, moggi isnt unfailable but he's smarter than us i think.

Man i love Juve but what the hell is going on a Juve? Are they going to become the new Perugia? Selling off Miccoli? I would have loved to have seen Gilardino instead of Ztalan... but then, i'm not Moggi :(

Cannavaro has taken nr28.

You pleased with these signings Don?

Haven't you read any of my reactions?

If not, here's my sarcastic view:

Well I thought the move for the arrogant swede was a bit strange but Cannavaro is a top signing IMO.

if Capello had trouble with Cassano he's not done himself any favours with Ibrahamovic.

And what is it with Juve, they always seem to get someone who had something to do with Italy getting knocked out of a tourney (Trezeguet).

Yes Cannavaro is a good signing especially that cheap. Although I doubt he is enough to solve our defensive problems, except if all under-performing defenders of last season somehow get back to form.

Well he'll be vey eager to do well, that can have a positive effect on defenses. He's a good leader at the back aswell.

How do you reckon they'll line up at the back?

Zambrotta Cannavaro Thuram Zebina - is the new backline.

Thats pretty strong.

Yeah, it doesn't look bad. Zebina has performed well in the pre-season friendlies, but he fouls a lot.
Thuram has had a bad season last year.
Zambrotta on the other hand imo has developed into the best left-back.

Thuram and Cannavaro played together with Buffon for Parma years ago in which this trio was known to be one of the best defences at that moment. Combined with Zebina and especially Zambrotta it could turn out to be a great defence.
