Inter Thread

Game of the decade in my opinion, at least in club level football. Actually I think quality of football wise it was better than the world cup final but that was a world cup final so it's a different beast altogether.

Unrelated but how does this thread only have 12 pages? Is there another Inter thread that's more often used?

It was one of the most exciting games I have ever seen. Raphinhas goal was heartbreaking and it felt like it's all over but when Acerbi scored the equalizer it was like an explosion of joy. I have already rewatched it a couple of times and it's giving me goosebumps like crazy. Frattesi is a player that is always there to score when it counts the most. Last year vs Verona, this year against Bayern and now the winner against Barcelona. I think all the guys played with a lot of heart and passion as it should be and deserve the final but in the end one team had to win and I am of course glad it was Inter. But Barcelona also played two fantastic games

It was better than the World Cup final. The World Cup final sucked for 70 minutes!

I agree but then again it was a world cup final and for a world cup final to go to pens in a 3-3 thriller is just ludicrous. But yeah quality of football wise this game was far better.

I'm not really an Inter Milan fans, but yeah that Inter Milan vs Barcelona UCL semifinal was one of the greatest football game right now, even surpassing Argentina vs France (World Cup Final). There are numerous Champions League semifinals that should be considered as the greatest, like Real Madrid beating Manchester City in 2022 (after being 3-5 down on aggregate until the injury time of the 2nd leg) or the 2018-19 semifinal, when both Liverpool and Spurs produced one of the greatest Champions League comebacks in history.

Overall, what an amazing performance by Inter Milan overall, but I feel bad for Barcelona (my favorite club). They have been playing great throughout this season, only to realize that high defense line really denied Barcelona's Treble dream. Unfortuantely, the Champions League Final this year (Paris SG vs Inter Milan) is going to be the most underrated one.
