GTA IV - NON-SPOILER THREAD

Sound is too low, I agree. It's better/more balanced when listening via surround sound - have you checked the options on audio to change it to stereo if you are playing using "normal" sound systems (as opposed to surround)? I think it's defaulted to surround.

I had one mission freeze on me last night (360) - had to re-set my machine. Hope they patch this....

Overall, OK, I was disappointed to start with but last night the bug hit me and I have to admit it's now looking like the best game I have ever played.
 
So they're saying multiplayer is useless on the PS3 as it may result in locking up your system if you're connected to the internet? :LOL:

Yea, its odd - sometimes you can get straight in, other times, not even bring the options up on your phone.

The the 'locking' up thing is really rare (but due to amount of copies sold, is getting a lot of press).

Sure they'll sort it out soon enough - good job the SP is so good too :)
 
This is easily the best game I've ever played. I haven't even touched the multiplayer yet because I'm so into the single player.

I love everything about it. It's genius. Mine hasn't crashed ONCE yet although I've heard a few people grumbling about some issues?

I know it has a little sign in the little coloured blob above the player - when you can see them. But I jsut wanted to know if you could have it come up on the screen when anybody speaks?

Just that there are so many people speaking sometimes it would be nice to know who it was. :DD

Anybody got any idea on this? I feel like a schizophrenic with all these voices telling me to do something or go somewhere and I don't know who is speaking!

Just had a good 10 mins with KRad on PS3 MP. Just fucking around in the free-roam lobby thing.

Ended up having a fight-club style fist fight, then after neither fighter would die, I pulled out the grenades and started handing out some BOOM! punishment.

Fucking funny to see KRad flying through the air straight after respawning... loving them grenades! :LOL:

Bloody hell Ive never laughed so hard in my life, soo funny that night.

Chasing the crooks coopz driving, jay in passenger seat and me in the back. Straight away coopz goes into some wall and only Jay goes through the windscreen, you had to be there.

and also again chasing down the road with jay in my car, all of a sudden stuart comes running out onto road (on our side), and gets run over by me. Last thing Stuart said he heard over the mic was "come on jay lets ge... OH MY GOD AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH STUART!!!!" Hillarious

Too right, I fucking love that when there's a few people. That and Team Deathmatch is awesome. I've recently noticed I get kicked when I start winning really good now though, it's fucking well stupid.
 
I've not been kicked yet but i can well imagine if the host and his mates are kids who can't stand losing i would be

Without sounding big headed have the rest of the ps3 GTA ers noticed that we all own online? It seems nearly every match ive seen us lot in we're all in the top spots and everyone else are our bitches
 
Us 360 crew are shit but have a laugh :LOL:

the only time i have played online we have a full room of evo webbers so i aint got a clue how good i am at it
