Hello I've created a roster file that has edited setting for better gameplay. (Beta 0.9, updated to November rosters)
It was done in a way to have better defense, pressing, offensive playing, and every player has a recognizable player styles so every player is not flat, they have pros and cons. Player with low overall are still usable if you know how to make up for the technical skills gap, but they have good mental and physical stats.

More fouls if you are used to shield the ball, less ping pong passes, more error on pass, shoot, traps if you're pressed by other players. Better keeper saves.

Changes:
- Rewrited physical attributes generation methods based on role, age, height and weight.
- Changed team trait to have more aggressive defense and more direct attack
- Rewamped roles, to be more different each oher, eg tackles for midfielder are lower, more dribbling to wings

HOW TO USE
Play offline, go on settings-> profile -> load squads, you'll find a file called gp101125load it and do a friendly match or start a career

I had much to do, still working to find the right balance with attributes. I've found a good point where playing that game is satisfying.

Things in this version (with only a Roster squad file):
- Recalibrate the attributes of the players without impacting their overall. (100%)
- Create a template for each playing style to be assigned to players. Physical values are balanced for all the overall as well the mental ones. This way the technical attributes are more spread and those make the difference between a 80 ovr player and a 60 one, this also makes playing with lower league teams more fun. (90% - testing)
- Take in account physical info (height and weight) in calculating physical values. (100%)
- Goalkeepers are strong, reactive but they will not block everything. (100%)
- Balanced shot power and longshots, you'll see more of them but with less power and less precision. (100%)
- Less pass accuracy in final third and less ping pong in the midfield, more interceptions and better marking. (100%)
- Now each playing style has its set of player instructions, so they play in more real fashion (100%)
- Reduced game speed, realistic stamina drain (you can see 4-5 subs each match), more pressing and crossing for teams that play on the wing. (100%)
- Fixed the teamtraits. Now teams don't have forced playing styles but they use different ones during the game. (100%)

Q:Why using roster files?
A:FET and FMT can edit FC 25, but installing patches require continous updating and work to prevent the anticheat to work. You risk to be banned for that, while roster files are secure to use. Would be nice to be used with some gameplay mods on this forums to see how this roster file blend with them.

Q:Why using roster files?
A:FET and FMT can edit FC 25, but installing patches require continous updating and work to prevent the anticheat to work. You risk to be banned for that, while roster files are secure to use. Would be nice to be used with some gameplay mods on this forums to see how this roster file blend with them.
FYI this isn't true, both tools work with the anticheat enabled, and pose no risk of being banned (even if you use Live Editor to bypass the anticheat, nobody has ever been banned for that).
 
Hi man! Could you please explain me what do you change inside the squad file in order to get visible changes in the game ?
 
Got some feedbacks in pvt, next version will not have playstyles by role, and better team traits setup, in particular vs weak teams. Also all the SM roles in 3-5-2 will be Wide Midfielder to provide better coverage to defense.
Anyone else want to provide feedbacks?

Have you touched physics? I mean, would it be possible to somehow edit certain physics aspects through DB editing ?
 
Bro this mod order is complete fucked up. You are using three different LOD mods at the same time. My graphics mod overhaul can't work with any other graphic mods like esim LUT or whatever.

Gameplay add-ons like referee add-on go below main gameplay mods. And also you got several mods using different databases, that's why your squad file is corrupted.
 
Fratello, questo ordine di mod è completamente incasinato. Stai utilizzando tre diverse mod LOD contemporaneamente. La mia revisione della mod grafica non può funzionare con altre mod grafiche come esim LUT o altro.

I componenti aggiuntivi di gioco come l'add-on arbitro vanno sotto le principali mod di gioco. E inoltre hai diverse mod che utilizzano database diversi, ecco perché il file della tua squadra è danneggiato.

Always played with those settings: Legendary Level - 2 x 6 Minutes - full manual controlled besides the shooting (set it to precise) - competitor mode off - player based skills on - Referees default

- First thing what greatly appears while playing the opponent Strikers are constantly stressing my game build up from my own defense Players. They are pressing very nice to see and it feels naturally when I watch Top Teams Matches irl. Like Bayern pressing or Man City or Barca pressing early and with all offense Players. Didn´t noticed before how less the AI did that in Vanilla GP.

- I also like the general Pace of the Game now. It makes always such a huge difference when things getting slow downed on the pitch and this ugly Player and ball rushing from Vanilla GP stops. As I really like the game speed now and the will of the AI to "play" the game now instead of kick and rush or ping ponging the ball to their offense, I just a 5% difference in my play style towards a bit faster. But like i said only 5%. So just minor difference. I don´t play around with the Sliders. Maybe with an adjustment I can "fix" that for me.

- I can clearly see the work done with the personal Player styles/abilities. The AI offense tries much to keep ball possesion. I would like to have a bit lesser dribblings of them when it´s not necessary like when they could cross the ball into the box instead of trying to dribble me too much.
But in general when I play with english 4th League team the dribbling gets lesser by unskilled Players. Low League Match was pretty equal related to ball possesion on both sides. Felt more like a battle what I like. I saw pass errors, shot errors from the AI which felt more like irl. Not that clinical high rated successfully scoring by the AI. Even on legendary I lost only 0:1 playing me, with Arsenal vs Newcastle (AI).

- The physical battle about the ball is great to feel and see during a Match. Good to see in my Video when a high ball reaches 2 opponents. They try to get the header and beeing busy to defend their ground position first. :))

- The shot speed could be a bit faster. At the beginning of the Game I come to a very good chance with Kai Havertz from outside of the box, but the ball was too weak to bring the Goalie in trouble. While in other gp´s the ball was hit harder when I push the shot button with the same power as now.

- The referee decisions brings me 2 red cards in 3 Matches. :D Must test the strength of the refs further for a final opinion.

I think DB editing is much more stable when modding gameplay. No matter what i do with EBX there will always be something I don't like...

I hear you Mate! Although I don´t be a modder I understand right what you mean. The times in the past a.e. FIFA 18 and 19 there was no opinions for ebx GP modding, so Modders like Fidel Gameplay creates already to those times custom Squads similar to what @fifaccitiu.com has already done again and with FIFA 23. But also he modded FIFA 18 back in time with DB edits for Players and teams and mentalities. I really liked the work from Fidel and him at FIFA 18. Fidel continued his work in FIFA 19 and 20. This is why I still like to play those older FIFA´s. The ebx Modding of the GP is personally for me filled with a miriad of options to tweak that when I take a look sometimes into the Editors I quit that quick because it´s just too much for me mind. haha. You, Paul and Anth a.e. know it better than me. :-)
So many options but also so many options to mess them up. A complete mod with DB edits of Players, teams, mentalities and ebx modding would be a task. I will try fifaccitiu´s Squad with ebx based gp too see how those 2 mod directions work together like fifaccitiu mentioned in his OP.
 
Only downside of squadfile gameplay modding is that, while we do not have free acess to RDBM 25, that mods should be exported as db mod in FET, which could cause conflicts.

Without access to RDBM 25, we can't import GP tables from fifaccitiu to our own squadfiles.

I think it's risky to couple gameplay mods with squad files if you don't know exactly which edits the squad files contains. Some values may override each other. If you know exactly what you're editing then it could be a step forward into a more balanced gameplay.

Thanks for testing it out.
About the pace I lowered the general speed of the player leaving the difference between speedsters and others, and for shot speed actually strikers have in general more shot power than other roles, but i can give more power to long shooters and other roles.
 
I think DB editing is much more stable when modding gameplay. No matter what i do with EBX there will always be something I don't like...
EBX editing is hard since we don't know the effect of every param unless you have FC source code. So is a trial and error, and since some values are interleaved changing one can have effect on something else... if i have to do EBX editing i'll just edit very few params...
